Happy Birthday Jesus!
------------------------
Yeah! It's Jesus' birthday! Happy Birthday Jesus!
It's Christmas again, how quick this year's Christmas comes. Today is Christmas eve, but I'm at home, lazing :P
No party, nothing.
Why is everyone surprised when you don't attend Christmas party? I also don't understand. Haha...I don't feel like I'm missing out anything by not going to parties. Oh well, different pple different opinion. Maybe some pple just feel like you need to really go out and have a blast of time, then that's enjoying life? :P
I like staying at home! :P Maybe I'm just too mellow liao, staying at home and do things I like is good enough for me, for eg, sleeping! hhahaha
Such a nice day to sleep in. It has been raining all day, practically all day, so nice to sleep :P Had a nap just now, soooo nice...hahhaa...
Anyway, for those who are going to parties, enjoy yourselves! For those who are not doing anything, enjoy your Christmas too! ^_^

New shoes!
------------
I've bought another pair of shoes! Haha...I've been wanting to get this kind of shoes for months! Reason for not getting them sooner, they are $89 per pair!! Ya...hehee...expensive hor? :P But, I've been quite willing to spend on shoes, if they are comfortable.
A few months back, I bought a pair from Pazzion, but...sad to say, my feet got hurt so badly from wearing that pair of shoes. My feet hurt for months, went to see "die da" twice already. Now, it's getting better.
I love wearing covered shoes, but they really give me a lot blisters. Sigh..vain lah...hahahah...but this Mika brand shoes, they are really comfy. Really good soles. And they always have limited designs. The boss say, they design the shoes' design themselves and sometimes they don't repeat the order. Sigh...So if really like it, must buy! hahha
The boss is really quite nice. He said he recognise us! Haha..every sunday, Chunping and I go to church and normally will pass by his shop to see whether got new designs or not! Haha..ya...so he already recognised us liao :P So malu
Anyway, here's the shoes, give some comments on what you think!

Too many things to do, too little time
--------------------------------------------
I've not been updating my blog for a long while, my dear momowish told me that she checks my blog! I thought nobody ever read my blog anymore! Haha...
So, I've decided to start writing again. Momowish, thank you for motivating me to start again! ^_^ hahaha..
Anyway, these few months has been a bit busy for me, because, I've started my online biz, with a good friend of mine. We have been browsing etsy and have been talking about starting a supplies' shop for quite a while. We never really went down to it, until finally we just decided to do it a few months back.
We were buying supplies from the local suppliers and selling them at only 1x profit. Not very lucrative and we were a bit disappointed, or rather, I was a bit disappointed.
Thank God, my partner found a site which sells supplies at wholesale prc! We were really excited at first, but realised that everything has to be purchased at a whole big lot! And it churns out to be quite a lot of $$ for the little few things.
So, we were calculating the cost, deciding what to get, what not to etc...A very tedious process. Our cost were limited and we also wanted to know if the site is legitimate. So we ordered something small to start.
Good service I would say, respond promptly to questions, and everything was quite smooth. The first batch of goods came in, we were happy and then, we were deciding to get more. But we were a bit tight on $$.
Thank God again, this time, my partner's sis volunteered to give us a loan! ^_^ I believe God delayed our decision for a good reason. At the same time, my partner found another site which sells lesser qty, but still ok wholesale prc! We were delighted!! So we did our shopping and bought the stuffs.
My online shops are www.bingbing.etsy.com and bingbing.dawanda.com
So far so good, although we come in at a time where the whole world is having a recession, but I believe the I don't depend on the whole's economy but the economy of my heavenly Father! hehee...
So, this has been keeping me busy. It's very interesting to do this kind of online biz. I'm quite happy. Hopefully the sales will take off enough for me to do it full-time! hahahha....

Gathering
-----------
Last fri, we had a poly gathering. Seems like nowadays, it's always the usual people who comes for gathering. The rest just seems to be drifting away, maybe it's just wrong timing. It's always been hard to get a timing which suits everyone.
Some of them have jobs which requires them to fly around, so it's really hard to plan a gathering. And now, the group is getting bigger so to speak. Those who came, came with their spouses and kids! Haha..yeah, now 4 couples have kids, and our dear Roger already has a 2nd :P
Wilfred talks about migrating to Australia; really, maybe it's the big space, nice air, relaxed life that attracts people? I too, like that kind of life. Should I go too? It's seems to be the topic that i'm pondering about too. My dear friend, Charity is already very much settled in Australia and really like the life there. Maybe I should consider too?
Anyway...

Korea
--------
--------
I'm back from Korea, having spent 5 days there. It was still quite cold, given that it's already end of March. So, coming from a tropical climate, many of us are not quite used to the cold. But still, it's nice to be in cold weather once in a while :)
It was quite a good trip, no complaints except for things that I do not wish to mention. The tour guide was good, a very experienced one and really know how to crack jokes and make people happy. The food, hmm...not the best, and ever since I'm back, I'm trying to avoid meat! :P hahhaha...almost every meal was pork, pork and more pork!! Scary...hahahha
Nice scenery, oh, and at tourist attractions, I'm surprised that quite a lot of Koreans can speak Mandarin!...heee..we were at the DFS and my mum wanted to buy some skincare products, wow, i'm impressed, this korean lady speaks fluent mandarin!!It's funny how now Chinese is becoming the most commonly used languages around the world.
Some pictures of the places we went:
This is the shooting site of 大长今. Quite an impressive shooting site.

Korea food. One big pan and cooking in it. Then we'll just take from there and eat. This was supposed to be for 4 people. After the meat and vegetable were cooked and half eaten, the store people then come and put rice for you...then will fry it like fried rice.

Nami island. This is the island where one of the scenes of winter sonata was shot. There were 2 rows of trees that was in the drama. And according to the tour guide, this island was made prosper because of that drama.
A mountain top. Supposed to be quite scenic, but that day was foggy so couldn't really see anything. There was some left over snow though... :P
My mum and I on the same mountain top.
Korea is still very much a buddhist country. So we went to visit this big buddha status. It was at the bottom of the mountain.
Spring water! Although most of them said it tasted different, I couldn't really tell :P hahaha
Learned to make KimChi at the school. I think we didnt actually "learn". It's more of trying to sell the kimchi that were made at the school. The instructor conducted the whole tour in Mandarin. Very good. :)
ok, that's so much for the pictures. Anyone interested in seeing all the pictures can go to teresetay.shutterfly.com

Anger
--------
Why are drivers so easily agitated? I think when one is driving, they just tend to get very impatient, right?
Around HDB area, really, is it wise to just ignore people crossing roads and go as fast as you want? And what if, I say, what if, really, if the pedestrian is not fast enough and you knock him/her down. What are you going to do? Regret that you let your temper get the better of you? What is the point then? If the pedestrian didn't suffer serious injuries then you can still make up for it, what if the pedestrian die? Can you make up the death of a loved one for another?
As usual, people don't normally wait for the green man. Everyone is just crossing the lights when there are no vehicles, or at the very least when they think is safe to do so. I was waiting for the light and there came this car, from a distance, honking and driving as fast as she could.
I mean, come on, it's a small road around HBD area, couldn't you slow down a little and show some consideration? She didn't knock anyone down, those people crossing were running to get out of her way. I drive and I'm a pedestrian too, although I can understand her being so impatient still, sometimes I think drivers should just cut pedestrians some slack too. SLOW DOWN....

Happy Valentine's Day
-------------------------------
A happy valentine's day to all the lovers out there. It has been a long time since I last celebrated valentine's day. I really cannot recall how special this day is. As I was passing by Junction 8 going on to my student's place, I see a lot of school girls carrying bouquets of flowers, toys, chocolates.
Wah....so envious :P
Those "uncles" and "aunties" who used to sell tissue papers are also capitalising on this trade and are selling flowers on this special day.
Couples who have been together for quite some time probably think that it's crazy to be celebrating this day because everywhere you go, there bound to be a lot of people. So, what do these people do? Go through this day as per normal? Have a homecook meal? Celebrate it at home?
I wonder...

Happy Birthday to me!
-----------------------------
Happy birthday to me!お誕じょ日おめでとう ! 今年29さい。It was my birthday yesterday. Really, I cannot imagine I'm already 29!Sounds scary..haha..next year, I'll hit the big 3!! Oh my, it just sounds so funny. One year older, what do i wish to accomplish this year? I'm not sure. Maybe really figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life? Go to another country and live for a while again? Find a life partner?
One would think at this age, I should be having a career, maybe a marriage, and maybe also some kids. But here I am, still wondering, wandering...hahaha...But I think I'm happy now. I used to be unhappy, searching, figuring out what I want to do. Although, I'm still looking for more, searching for I dunno what, but I have a joyful heart now. No more miserable. Thank God :-)
This year, birthday wishes had also increase. And I've got presents too! :-) A gift voucher from a dear friend, clothings from my brother and a dinner with my family.

Working in a foreign country
------------------------------
What is it about working in a foreign countries that attracts people? Here in Singapore, we have so many different nationalities although we are such a small country. I wonder sometimes why people would choose to come to Singapore?
We have kids from China, and now more and more koreans are coming here to study. Integrating into our society, speaking singlish just like most of us. They are so "singaporean". I think right now, it's harder to find a singaporean among so many foreigners! haha...everywhere you go, literally, singaporeans are becoming a minority. It seems like singaporeans are "foreigners" in their own land.
You go to shopping centres, restaurants, you will find that people serving you have a different accent and it's very easy to recognise that they are not singaporean. Is it because Singaporeans are too pamper to "serve" people? Too lazy becos it's a tough job? Or is it becos the pay doesn't warrant their work? We have so many foreigners who don't mind the hard work, long hours and in some places, they really find pride in what they do.
This kind of phenomenon is funny. Is it only here in sg that we find this kind of phenomenon or is it happening all over the world?

A good long rest
-----------------
It's finally back to work for me after almost 2 weeks of rest. It's time to get back to routine. This Jan will be a busy month for me, but starting next month, I'll be slightly more free, so to speak. I'm hoping to continue my Japanese lessons in Feb.
I was hoping to go back to the language school that I went previously, but now, I'm considering going to another. Oh well. Piano exam is coming up for my students. I've got about 6 students going for the Feb/Mar exam, most of them are quite prepared, except for one. I'm kinda worried for him, but I'm praying about it and God is giving me strength and taking away my anxiety for that matter. I thank God for it.
I was so stressed a while ago about letting this student go for the exam and stress over another student who doesn't seems to be progressing although he's quite a keen student. Pastor has been talking about rest and speaking in tongues, I personally think that helps me a whole lot. I'm more calm now. Somehow the stress is gone and every time I go for lesson, things are turning more positively.
