Time time time...
----------------------

It's the end of the year again. And this year has really been a flash! I wonder where all the time went. It seems like yesterday when it was the start of the new year and now, it's almost the end of it already.

Weather has been really good these few days. Not too hot, and very cooling at night. It's "winter" here in sunny singapore! Haha...it's really nice, the cool breeze blowing at night. As I was walking home from the MRT station, the wind blowing just feels so comfortable.

It's serving day today for me and I had a great time :-) Although we are a little short-handed, but everything went smoothly, thank God.

Next serving date would be the Christmas service. This will be my first Christmas service with the children's church. I wonder what they would have for the children. Kinda looking forward to it. Although I'll miss the adult service, but I think God's grace will still flow wherever I'm.

I've decided to cut 2 of my sessions with the music school, so that means, I wouldn't have to work from 9am-9pm on Saturday anymore! yeah..i'm quite happy about it, I'll trust in the Lord to provide for me and give me more private students! :P I realised I kinda like tutoring kids, maybe I'll take some kids to tutor starting next year. I'll see where God leads...

Oh, and I've just finished a korean drama, again :P hahaha..it's called "The Vineyard Man". Very simple love story and I really like it. Korean drama really have me watched them over and over again. I used to be that kind of person where I would prefer not watch any shows for the 2nd time, but korean dramas really had me watched them over and over again...hahaha...i wonder what's the reason....

Anyway...

A nice gesture
-----------------

A few days ago I was on the MRT when this dad came in with his 2 kids. People who takes the MRT probably realised a lot of times, kids like to stand on the seat right?

Years ago, when I went to Japan, we were taking the public bus and my auntie's boy (not my real auntie, but it's my friend's mum's friend) was that age where he likes to stand also. And according to her, in Japan, if your kid were to stand on the seat with their shoes on, the parents will be reprimanded. She was taking off her kid's shoes as she was telling us. But in Singapore, pple just don't really care about that right? Kids stand on the seats with their shoes on! Haha...

Anyway, this dad was so nice. His kid was kneeling on the seat and he took his shoes off for him, knowing that he would soon progress to standing on the seat. Sure enough, after his dad took off his shoes, he stood on it.

His older brother wanted to follow suit, and guess what? He took off his sandals too before standing on the seat! How considerate.

A wonderful man of God
----------------------------

What would you do if you are born without any limbs? It's hard to imagine what life would be, isn't it? We, normal people, have arm, have legs but are still complaining about not having a nice figure, about not having nice legs, nice arms etc.

Today's preaching in children 's church talks about people who are less fortunate than us, but still is able to lead a life full of joy. Why? Becos of Jesus. Jesus gave them joy and strength and thru them the glory of God is magnify! Hallelejah.

A short video of this person, Nick Vujicic, who is born without limbs but is doing the mighty works of God.

Big day for 2 of my best pals
-----------------------------

Next friday is the wedding day for 2 of my best pals. They have been together since our poly days and is finally tying the knot. Both of them are working in an airline company, one as an air-stewardess and the other as a pilot.

Altogether both are "high flyers", earning lots of money, they are still pretty much the same. I'm so happy for them! ^_^

Today I'm going to go get my nails done and dress pretty for their wedding! haha

Why am I here for?
-----------------------

Does anyone of you ever wonder why you are on earth for? Recently I've been thinking about this question. I'm thinking if God is calling me to do His work. Although I do feel the calling, I'm still not quite sure what He wants me to do.

I also don't know and I'm still praying about it. My contract with the music school is coming to an end soon, and I need to make a decision as to whether I want to continue another year. I'm contemplating to go to a bible college to learn more about God but is this His will for me?

What is your will for me God?

What makes u angry?
---------- ---------------

I realised it's quite hard to be blogging ever so often. Where do you get so many things to talk about?! Haha...

I've been trying to blog every few days and now as you can see the days are getting further and further apart! Let see, what can I write? Maybe about something I saw in the MRT today? People just amazes me sometimes.

It was a crowded morning, but it's a little out of the norm for Fridays. Friday you usually get people going later to work. This is a strange phenomenon. Mondays, you always get a lot a lot of people on the MRT, but as the week progresses, the people taking the MRT at the same time just seems to be decreasing. Haha..dunno why.

Anyway, it was quite crowded in the MRT and then in came this lady wearing a lacy top. She walked past one lady and caught her top a little I think, because when she came standing next to me, she was feeling the bottom of her top and glancing over at the other lady. The lady who supposed caught her top was oblivious to what was going on!! Haha..I mean the lacy lady is a pretty lady, dressed up, make up, carry Coach handbag, but the way she acted, it kinda make her looks ugly. Haha...I'm so bo liao until these kind of things interest me.

There and then, I'm wondering...wah, a shirt can also make her so angry. It must be an expensive shirt. If not, why would she be so angry. She literally stared at the lady who caught her shirt a few times.

haha...i'm so bo liao! :P

Sharing an umbrella...

Would you share an umbrella with a stranger who is standing in the rain and waiting for the light with you?

I was waiting for my bus at the bus stop, and across the road, this auntie was gestering to another lady to come share the umbrella, at first the lady say it's ok, don't have to, but i think the auntie offered again and the lady went and shared the umbrella with her. It wasn't really raining very heavily but still, the warmth of people just touched me somtimes :-)

Living a life of increase
---------------------------

Recently, I've been listening to the BVOV (Believer's Voice if Victory) from KCM (Kenneth Copeland Ministries). This was the series with him and Jerry Savelle talking about living a life of increase.

They talked about how God is for increase for his people. And a few points to note to see increase in our lives. Just wanna share with whoever is reading my blog. :P

1. Keeping a convenant with God - reference Deuteronomy 6:3

"Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. "

2. Walking in obedience with God - reference Job 36:11

"If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures"

3. Putting God's word 1st place in our lives - reference Psalms 1:3

"And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. "

4. Hard work and diligent - Proverbs 13:4, 13:11

"4The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat."

"11Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. "

5. Sowing - Genesis 8:22

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

6. Increase by association - Proverbs 13:20

"He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
These are just my personal notes from their broadcast, I've been listening to them, been blessed by them, but always forgets after I listened to them, so I thought it might be a good idea to blog them down! ^_^

Anyone who is interested can go to www.kcm.org and listen or watch BVOV. I think the greatest thing I've learnt from them is about seedtime and harvest, about sowing.

Kenneth Copeland once said, my income is determined by my sowing and not my salary! heehee...and last sunday, Pastor prayed for increase and I received and I believe increase is coming my way!

And I've also learnt that sowing a seed is not just about giving money. It can be prayer time, be a service to church, generally just be a blessing to someone.

Great news!!
---------------

Great news! NCC is going to have our own building! This is really the grace of God! Hallelujah. Pastor Prince announced the good news today during service and we had a glimpse of how the new building is going to look like. And the best part; it's in the WEST!! hahaha...why?Because I'm living the west side too. ^_^ Yeah...

It's going to be a retail building too, so NCC would be on the top floor, occupying the auditorium and there will be shopping downstairs. I'm very excited about it. I think the housing prices there are going to increase by then.

According to Pastor, North 1 will be the silicon valley of Asia. Wah...that's impressive, isnt it? I really think so.

We are going to build the building from scratch, so it will be a while before the building will be done, but I think it's worth the wait. :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think today Pastor really preached to my heart. He was talking about "Rest in God" but somehow the sermon diverted and went to the story of Jesus. Recently, there has been a prompting to watch "Passion of Christ" again and today when Pastor went through the story of Jesus, it just makes me think of the movie. I was really moved and touched.

I'm feeling God's love for me more and more. And the bible is coming more and more alive to me. It's as if the veil in front of my eyes has been lifted! I'm looking at the bible with a different perspective now. Thank you Abba!

hahaha!! :P 还需要一点时间才会正常。 :P hehee

Teacher's Day
--------------------

Tomorrow is the start of a new week again. It's September already. Sept 1st is Teacher's Day here in our sunny island. And me, being a piano teacher is also considered a teacher. HAHA......I was quite surprised when I got my 1st teacher's day present. It was Thurs. I went to work as usual and as I was teaching one of the students, I realised the next one, was jumping outside the door.

On the door, there is like a small window where pple can look into the room (parents like to look into the room and see how their child is doing, and to make sure that the teacher is not eating snake!! :P haha). The height of the window is slightly higher for younger kids to look through but if they jump, they will be able to look in, so they would always jump and jump.

So, Eugene was jumping outside the room as usual when he is early for his lesson. But that day, after he jumped for a while, he held something against the window. It was a present for me! ^_^

It just so happened that Sat was the acutal day for teacher's day and I was teaching one full day and got quite a few presents too.

TO ALL TEACHERS OUT THERE, HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!!!

Hmm..最近其实也没有什么东西,要写得也已经写了。今天其实只是想写一写一些有的没的。Haha :P

我想下一次再继续吧。想做其他的。

Time flies
------------

I really can't imagine where all the time has gone. It's been a year since I've been back from the States. Really wonder how the girls are doing. Haven't email them for quite some time. Guess everyone is just busy with their own life. Natalie should have finish 2nd grade now and once school starts, she will be in 3rd grade. And Isabelle should be starting her Kindergarten this year! I think it's going to be so exciting for her.

Today has been a great day. Went for church and then serve in the children's church too. After serving for almost 6 months now, things are getting on quite good, and I've been looking forward to serving the Lord everytime. And one of my good friends has joined me in the ministry too! Hallelujah. ^_^

Well...nothing much to write for now. Cheerios! :)

Keyboard lesson
-------------------

I've started on my keyboard lessons. Last year when I came back, NCC was auditioning for musicians, and me, being ignorant went for the audition and was turned down because I couldn't play by chords.

So from then, there was a desire to learn to play by chords and maybe someday serve God in this area too. So I started exploring a little and find out that acutally it was not as hard as it seems to be, given that I've been learning piano. But to further develop my skills, I thought I'll take a class. So I went on this Christian's music school,
Believer Music and signed up for the beginners' course. However, the timeslot that I've chosen have not got enough students to start and the other timings were no good for me, so I had to withdraw from the course for now. Next year when I re-arrange my schedule, I'll sign up again. The course instructor was nice enough to offer me an assessment as she feels that I might not have to start from beginner.

Sure enough, she feels that I could skip the beginner's and go to the next level. Well, at least now I know, and I could save $300 bucks :)

Anyway, I have had 2 lessons so far at the music school where I'm teaching right now. So far so good. I thought I'll just have the skills first and when the opportunity comes, I'll go as the Lord leads :)

One of my favourite songs - The One Thing
---------------------------------------------------

Lord I'm here, to sit at your feet
To behold your beauty

Speak your word
Your voice I will heed
Let your presence wash over me

You're the one thing that I need
Your presence is all I'll ever seek
Overwhelm me with your love
Till all I see is you
All I see is you

Jesus, all my fears they fade away
When I see you
When I see you

PK1 Camp!
-----------

I'm back from the PK1 camp, PK short for praise kids. This is the camp for NCC's pri 2 and 3. I had a great time and I think I've learnt quite a lot from this camp. It feels like I've lost touch with the kids world, seeing how the teachers just giving them all really touched me. Some of the teachers had been to quite a few children's camp, and some are 1st timers like me. Everyone is really not shy about doing forfeits, doing silly dances. It has been so long since I've done these kind of thing, at first, it feels kind of embarassing, but I think I'm better now. I can see that the teachers really don't care about "self image" and go all out to cheer the kids, encourage the team, sing, dance, whatever it takes to get the kids all gear up! There were really a lot of touching moments for me.

We had a lot of games, preaching of course and craft for the kids; as a finale, the kids are supposed to use whatever materials that was given to dress themselves to whatever stories their group name represents.

It was really really heart warming to see kids singing to our heavenly Father and jumping up and down to the songs together with all the teachers! It was amazing....I cannot describe the feelings, but this is really something new for me. I've never been to a church camp before, so this is officially my 1st church camp. I've learnt a great deal and discover a whole lot. And I've also learnt some actions with the songs we sing! It was really fun.

I really thank God for bringing me into this church where I grow stronger in Him. I'm excited to see what He's going to do next in my life. ^_^

Lingerie knowledge
--------------------

Today has been a really knowlegeable day for me. One of my mum's friend told her about a very comfortable kind of bra. Yes, there are comfortable and uncomfortable bras. So we set off on an adventure, heehee, not quite, but we were planning on going to have a look and try on the comfortable bra.

Comfortable as it is, it also comes with a high price :) It's close to $80 for 1 bra. WOW! I was taken aback when my mum told me, but anyway, we went and was browsing through, no one attended to us, until we were about to leave. One of the staffs approached my mum, and I was like half-hearted, didn't really have the mood to buy anymore. But nonetheless, I tried. And I tell you, this staff should get an award! Who says customer service is poor in sg? I think it really depends on where you go! Where the beloved of God goes, favour is everywhere! haha...

Anyway, this lady is really a pro with our inner wear. She not only recommend based on our preferences, she also offer to go into the fitting room and help us with it! I mean, how many staffs would actually do that? I've been to countless bra counters and all they ever do was to ask you what size you looking for and that's it! NO MORE HELP. But this lady is really good...and she really knows her stuffs too. So, I'm like, ok, what's the harm. So I tried, she came in and then gave me a few tips and what to look for when wearing a bra. Oh my! It's really some knowlege.

So, I was happy and bought from her. I used to hate wearing those with underwire. It just feels so uncomfortable and she told me, it's becos the size is not right, that's why. Being a smart aleck, I didn't really believe her until I tried the ones she gave me. I have to admit, she was right! BINGO and it really feels very very comfortable.

And we checked with her, she said every brand T counters will have staffs like her, my mum and I were like, "Where got?"!! hahhahaa...so ladies, next time, fight for your rights! get those ladies at the counter to help you get the right size. After all, you are spending money on their products! :)

Ang bao pendants!

My very talented friend, Zhuling, found a very innovative way to make use of Ang bao zua. Really, how come no one thought of it? She has been making good money with it. Here's a sample of the many pendants she has done so far....

This was a custom order requested by a customer who has bought the ang bao pendants before. Seems like it's selling well on her side too. I'm glad that I'm able to help her and increase her biz. I hope that LingGlass will make it big one day! So exciting, and excited for her at the same time. So if anyone got ang baos to spare, please let me know! Don't throw away your ang baos...give me give me....

As for personal life, nothing much to my update. hee.Well, I've started serving in the children's church. Have gone for 3 times so far. So far so good. It's kinda fun and this june, I'll be going to the children's camp. I think it should be fun too...more upates later...

A sad occasion

Early morning, the phone rang. Recently, a phone ring means that it's going to be bad news. My grandfather has been hospitalised just before CNY. His cancer cells has spread to his whole body and doctor said it's only a matter of time now.

So, yesterday, almost all of us went to see him at the hospital and this morning, he left for the other world.

Arranging funeral at the start of the new year is what everyone hope to avoid, but things still happened and things still need to be done. We went down to our oldest uncle's place and waited for my grandfather's body to arrive. The body arrived and then we waited for the coffin to arrive. Everyone paid our last respect to Ah gong and the coffin was sealed.

Some of us cried, some didnt. I guess it's really how close you are to a person which moved you to tears. Life is really so fragile, we come with nothing and we leave with nothing.

Happy Lunar New Year!!!

Happy Lunar New Year to all the Chinese out there. Missed my CNY last year and how time flies, it's CNY again. Somehow this year, I'm actually very looking fw to CNY. It used to be that, CNY is just a routine, but now I'm actually looking at it with a whole new light :)

Anyway, we had steamboat, as usual and now it's about 7 mins more to 初一. 新年快乐 everyone. I hope everyone will have a good year ahead, good fortune, good career, good life, heehee..

BTW, just an update about myself. My time is almost packed with piano, which is good, becos that means more income. Right now, I'm very happy with what I'm doing. Teaching piano and at the same time, helping a friend with her biz...Anyone interested can take a look at
www.lingglass.etsy.com.

She is a jewellery designer and has been doing this for 10 over years. Thus explaining her workmanship :) Well, come to think of it, I've been working for her almost 8 years now, minus the time I was in UK and US. So this is my side line...hehee...and I'm enjoying it.

And also, I'm going to serve in the children's church in my church (New Creation Church). For those who are not sure what a children church is, let me explain. Children church is like sunday school, a place for the kids to learn about God when their parents are attending the "adults'" church. So basically I'll be helping the teacher and do whatever he/she needs me to. I think it's going to be fun.
