Now that concert is over... it doesn't mean that everything is over.

It just means we're getting closer and closer to beijing.

AND.

I am beginning to realise that some of you all are becoming complacent. Ask you all to practice a wee bit more and you all start to complain. Not very nice eh? Audition results do not determine your standard. So what if we got an 83%?Don't compare yourselves to the band. Compare yourselves to perfection. NO matter what, you people must always strive to improve. Not just stay stagnant where you are.

You all have potential to do better than what you all are doing now. But what I have noticed so far is that you people are slackening. Don't forget, the sec 4/5s are leaving soon. What if you cannot manage as an individual? How do you expect to manage as a section? Then you might say... but we're quite good as compared to the others already what... Then if others compare themselves to each other. Then the comparison is so limited. There's no goal to reach. You people as an individual must set goals for yourselves to achieve in band. Afterall, band shouldn't just be another thing. It is PART OF YOUR LIFE.


heh. you might think im naggy or angry or whatever. However, I am just expressing my true opinion. I have nothing against any individual. But certainly, I do expect you all to put in more effort.

TAKE INITIATIVE.

DO THINGS with all your heart and mind and to the BEST of your ability.
Like that you'll find more fulfillment in what you do.so...



On the lighter note... Hope you all study hard and do well for mid years. =)

HI CORNETS!(: copied some posts from my blog to our section blog..mostly bout my overall feelings, some comments given bout fantasia and how and where we screwed up lo. HAHAHS sounds as if i always catch people doing wrong things har? anyways have fun reading!

FRIDAY!
school ended at 12.30pm for all the band girls cause gota go cjc for soundcheck and rehearsal and all, haiz but at least it made us (or rather me) more prepared right? so was good (: after rehearsal had dinner at 5+ like that stole people's food. LOLS shooots, cant seem to control my diet now ;DDDDDD HAHAHAHHAS. anyways overally.. CONCERT WAS DA BOMB!! yesyes..tho it hasn't ended yet but i'm sure ij band can DO WELL for tmr's concert! some comments i got from some audiences:
-cornet section, only the firsts and seconds were moving, thirds wasn't moving so it seemed abit WEIIRD from the audiences' point of view. AIYOO
-cornet section was the LOUDEST section, besides trombones..which was kinda cool right? cool cornets(:
-clarinet squeaked! one of them..dono who, but was LOUDD! hope wont happen again tomorrow -saw some cornets laughing when they forgot their gimmicks for yagi bushi. NOT SUPPOSE TO LAUGH!! (yeah lo..applies to me also)
-sir was VERY ENTHU! so was the band! hehehehs..must remain like that for tomorrow and forever ah..
-the band sounded quite soft, cause of the curtains. hopefully for beijing there'll be something to reflect our sound. dowan our band to LOOK big but SOUND small right?
and may i just share something? dono why ah.. concert seems to pass VERY quickly? it's like one half hour but it's like a run through like that. poof! and it's gone. i think its prob. cause of sir's 'on stage 10 minutes off stage 10 years' (dun get it..?) you display all that you've done in ten years in that ten minutes' HAIIZ i bet im gonna miss this concert even after i graduate. zzzzzzzz must start treasuring the times we spend together as a section le [zua, if you ever read my post..please arrange for a section outing can? or me and jasmine can arrange((: ] hmmms guess i'm almost done for concert. anyways thanks for the flowers etc. and those who came for the concert. really appreciate it. hope yall enjoyed urselves and had fun((:

SATURDAY!
2nights of fantasia has come and gone but guess what? it was a BLAASTT!! ij band did great for both days! we're proud of everyone.. all the band members especially, for staying united and keeping the energy level high(: after the concert everyone was hyper as well which was good..cause it meant we don't just stop here. we continue our journey as a band towards the beijing band festival. be it gold, silver, bronze or even COP (choychoy!) we'll work even harder for next year's SYF (thinking abit far liao..but hopefully nxt yr we can be a G* band yea ;D)
okok back to concert. i think we did MUCH better than yesterday. all the solo and all. GOOD JOB EVERYONE!(: EXCEPT! i came in wrongly for hot latin. OMGG! dam embarassing lah. not that the audiences will know its me but i tink they can tell from my facial expression lo. BLEHH nvmnvm and just before classical canon started.. my file dropped =.=" so had to like..JUMP OFF the podium to get it AIYOO even my parents could see me going down to retrieve it lah one disadvantage of being raised bad bad bad.. but overall it was good rightt? mmmms other than those parts i never screw up liao. LOLS dam cham hor. and lets just talk ABIT bout jasmine and rachel (HEHEH) before dona started they forgot to turn their file which was on merry widow. so people sitting beside them were like 'wth? now is dona lah..why look at merry widow?' LOLS and since sir always wanted to create a special 'mood' for dona.. it was dam weird for them to start turning the scores when everyone's 'praying' la. HAHAHAHS seems like cornets screwed up pretty much including me (;
2nd half of concert was when i screwed up ALOT. haiz and the 3chinese pieces my parents say VERY BADD. not that joanna can't sing~, but they think she not matured enough for the song. im like wth? like i can do anything about it? anyways after concert stayed on stage for pretty long. was dam high with si hui and rachel, and maybe jasmine also la, who joined in the laugher LOLS and trombones were dancing and all liao (make us look so retarded right..cause we never dance with dem EXCEPT zua and fran) then rachel pointed her brother and his gf to me but i couldn't really see.. and in the end they were like
bro and gf: eh rachel, are you very close with that girl beside you?
rachel: errs..my friend lo. she's my laughing partner, hahah we always laugh alot together de
bro and gf: oh really ah, she looked like you leh
rachel: oh..okaaayy~
(not the first person telling her that, which explains her neutral reaction) then she came and tell me. HAHAHS cause shirley from eupho once told her seniors we looked like twins. wah piang eh. think rachel very sad now har. OHOHOHOH!! and abit bout encore piece.. the back row..did kallang wave. LOLS stood up from side to middle so i were like the last to stand AIYOO screwed up like shit lah. lucky our director wasn't like that (: HEHEHEHEH
on the bus back school everyone was shouting like dono what but i can't lah..shouted for concert felt quite bad liao, better not worsen my condition ;p was rather bored..so just listen to their conversation and all
MELISSA, FRANCESCA and JASMINE - my beloved seniors. THANK YOU ALL ALOT!(: always guiding me along and helping me with my instrument. can't imagine life without you guys. i'll definitely miss you all after you graduate, that is, after beijing competition. but before that, let us all work hard together and strive for the gold at beijing band fest! after that, you all must come back and visit us ah! and we'll continue keeping the section alive!
reached school and helped percussions. in the end helped bring the polar cakes up bandrm. so many left..waste lah LOLS. anyways here's the funny part. jasmine and rachel came down while i went up, and they're the ones who know i always eat ALOT during band camp and stuff but stil not fat de. (aiyo..jealous ah..?) hahhaas. then they were like 'ehh shi tian! you love food so much until ure always with it ah?' LOLS they dam funny lah. it so happened they see me carrying it lo, otherwise i'll be carrying the drumset and xylophone etc. downstairs ;p okizay shall end here that's it for today's concert. sooo tired. thank you, and have a fabulous weekend!(:
