Good job everyone! tmr's the concert day!

here's e things you require.

band blouse
band skirt
band blazer
SKIN COLOURED stockings
Water bottle?
YOUR FILE(arranged neatly and according to concert order)
PENCIL(you might still need to write last minute notes)
black court shoes
your pinafore and blouse/t shirt and shorts if u're intending to change after concert.
Umbrella (in case it rains)
wallet, hp
EZ link card.
YOUR MOUTHPIECE/ instrument ,mutes
any other toiletries u require.
BLACK OR DARK DARK blue hairtie.
BLACK. and i mean BLACK HAIRPINS

i guess thats about all. but u don't have to bring all e stuff, only those which u require. but this is the rough guide. so. just see what u need from the list and bring. haha. Don't forget to come early and do mouthpiece buzzing tomorrow. =D

Good luck for e concert! don't be too afraid (although im kind of afraid o.O) yep. TRUST IN YOURSELF.

GROOVIEST SECTION AWARD? haha. its totally up to u guys. amanda, shi tian and jasmine and si hui must move to the music ok? enjoy urselves. don't play the concert likes its out of obligation. play it as though u want to. Mistakes are bound to come by. if u happen to encounter any of them, please pick up and move on. =) yup. so just play your best tomorrow and give your all ok? =D haha. see u all tomorrow!

anyway congrates to our section for winning 1st runner up for section comp..
frankly speaking i was shock..haha but very extremely happy

hey cornets

today's sectionals was really crap.lols.
First, i arrived at school to collect the cornets before going to melissa's house fot sectionals.I reached there at around 8 and the stupid guard had not opened the gate yet.So the eight of us were waiting for it to open under the rain.

lah-da-dees- lah-di-dums .so yes,we finally managed to get in after much waiting.

Proceeded to Bishan interchange where i saw Melissa. Met Phoebe and the rest at the MRT station. and Phoebe went abmonishing about how she lost her 90 cents. (b'coz of me? sorry )haiz..speaking about this, I saw a one dollar coin on the bus. I actually wanted to pick it up but,all the passengers would thinking that I am a crazy weirdo who is carrying two cornet cases ( bomb? )and a flute .Like wat the !!! what is she doing now...finding treasure -.-"""

sectionals was supposed to OFFICIALLY start at 11.30 ..but due to the very distracting things at Melissa's house...her diaries, piano etc.
we failed to start it on time ( haha si hui and I did smth wrong on MeL's bed)so we went for section lunch.." ta-pau-ed" smth back from S-11 coffeeshop.
After we sat down to have section lunch together at Mel's house the untimely call from Rachel came telling us that she had just arrived at Bishan.

After lunch we crapped and crapped...we only did warm-ups and played the section competition song.Then we started to discuss about the gimmicks we were supposed to do.Then MeL brought in her very fascinating barang barang ( the crayons)we started drawing on each other's faces hands and legs.haha.then Rachel went back to her piano mood .whilst Mel painstakingly begged us to her about the plans we have for section competition.

we were finally dismissed at 6.50 , after listening to Rachel's FIRST piano solo and guitar solo.

OKies dokies....


Band practice was without Mr tan again. Someone got scolded for 2 things in our section : ( .Orion sounded good. but Prince of Egypt...ahh,,,, I think the movie songs like pirates and prince are the hardest! compared to the others because they require a lot of stamina...Guess we need to push ourselves harder.

I think our section competition song rocks thanks to both our seniors MeL and Fran for writing and arranging it. muacks. We would surely win this time YEAH!

hello cornies....

we had band practice with Mr tan without our seniors for the first time ( sec 2 band ) .I actually i prefer it this way because I think we are improving faster ,because our seniors are not here to cover up our so called " noise", heehee :D
we played Orion and Prince of Egypt...& we learnt that we must delay the semi-quaver when we see the dotted rhythm :) I think out of the whole sec 2 batch, the Cornets and Trombone were the BEST!!! But this doesn't mean that we should be complacent,yea?....SECTION COMPETITION...just less than 10 days left, and have we got our parts super sure of? We have not even practiced together as a section...so disappointing...I WANT THE BEST SECTION PLAQUE TO ENGRAVE THE CORNET'S SECTION'S NAME reallllll bad!!!
