hey everyone! haha. yeah. so busy... so no time to write post. haha. anywayz. everyone is improving quite nicely.. but more hard work and we will reach there!!! yeah. haha. don't stress too much yeah. try yr best. =D. oh yes. passing mark for SYF auds is 80/100. yeah. hahaz. so don't be too disappointed if u fail... just try your very best still. never give up till the end. yeah. and. pple... AIM FOR GOOD tone quality... and tongue clearer... use more air... less mouthpiece pressure... sit properly... in between yr armpit got egg there. so make sure i don't see pple squeezing themselves with their own arms. ok. yeah. haha. smilez pple. SYF auds are postpone to next week... =D. tell urself... I CAN PASS! yeah. then u will pass. =D. haha. kk. work hard yeah. SMILEZ =D

hey hey... just dropping by for fun yeah. i heard what happen on monday... don't worry people... don't get too stressed up yea? just try your very best and its good enough for me. take care of yourselves also... haha. pple falling sick nowadays. yeah. work hard but don't work too hard till u can't take it. if you need ANY help with your SYF scores or anything, feel free to ask me questions or approach me for extra individual sectionals. haha. remember: im always open. so don't be shy to approach. haha. yeah. anywayz. heyhey!! haha. first time posting on our section board..ok actually i got nothing to post about. hehe. our audition for SYF is nearing..hmm, bout 1 more week. work hard people!! haha. me too.
ohoh!! i just realised that our blog only 26 days old..not even 1 mth old. yet it seems like the whole world knows about it!! haha..XD
so sad..we wont be tenroc anymore after the new batch of sec ones join our section...so sad i wan to cry!! (jkjk)

well, last thing to add: EVERYBODY WORK HARD!! GET INTO SYF!! and don get picked by Mr Tan..haiz..

haha. yes. i almost forgot. whoever who is new to our little blog. haha. yes. i know what's yr question.... WHY TENROC!??!?!?! yes. haha.

first thing first. now our current main band section has... 10 members( so here comes the ten). and we rock alot!( so here comes the roc) yeah. and when u spell cornet backwards... it becomes tenroc! haha. interesting right? yeah. i know u so love it. haha. SMILEZ!!! =D. lets just pray that i'll be alright tomorrow...... haha. hopefully. man. i think im not being myself here. hmmm... something's missing... lets go on a treasure hunt! byebye! oh yes. by the way. go drop by St Marg's cornet section blog. haha. it looks very nice. i think we should post some of our classy photos. woots!!!CCA day was so fun X)X)X)X)we managed to rope in about 80 sec 1s if a i heard correctly .That's like about the whole band size which is like 88 ppl i think .The best thing is that we have 5 ppl who to join our section but we only have 4 more yamaha conets so someone must play the trumpet...-.-"which i played last year .i think the trumpet is much easier to play than the cornet..coz i had a hard time trying to switch.so sad we would not be tenroc anymore...we will be fifteenroc-corneetfif.ermms erms-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.
anyway ,melissa would we ever ever ever have a section outing?but it can't be during the march holidays coz there will be a band camp . i think there would there will never have a band camp for infinity.

Our Goals for 2007

1. To get above 90 marks for audition.

2. To get a unified section tone and sound.

3. More afternoon sectionals to work on musicality, blending, tone quality.

4. Attain a gold medal for SYF (work hard pple!)

5. To ensure that everyone in the section feels at home when together with section mates. More section outings and "Getting to know you" sessions. In other words, a more bonded section.

6. More enjoyable performances =D.

7. To sustain or even increase the aptitude for our instrument and the eagerness to want to work harder to improve more.

yea. i know it might sound a bit retarded but these points are also to be noted. =D. its only by setting goals that we will know where we will be heading and also have something to work towards.yea. and again. haha. WORK HARD PPLE! our section is improving quite well. SMILEZ!!! =D

hey there pple. I have set certain ground rules for our section, in order to maintain a piece of mind and it is also for yr benefit. ok. here we go.


1. Sectionals

a)Buddies must make sure you teach yr juniors properly. If you're encountering any problems with them, please make sure u inform me so that i will be able to assist if i can.

b)Sectionals is for you all to practice things parts where u're encountering problems or difficulty with. Therefore i suggest that you make full use of the sectional time. During sectionals, please ensure u also work on musicality as notes and rhythm are supposed to be sorted out at home and not during sectionals.

c)Try not to be distracted during sectionals and start talking about daily life stuff.=D

d)PLEASE make sure u arrange sectionals with yr own parts e.g (1sts,2nds,3rds) on non-band days so that we would be able to play better during main band.


Section rules

a)Instruments are to be kept in yr case everytime u play finish, especially if your instrument would not be requiring attention from you as you would not like to have dents and pay $45 for repairing services.

b) Everybody will be treated equally regardless of playing standards,attitude or whether she is your friend or enemy.Therefore, no teasing,mocking,insults,gossips or calling of names is allowed during practices or sectionals.

c)When unable to come for practice please and i mean PLEASE inform me in advance as it is your responsibility to inform me when u're unable to come for practices OR sectionals.

d)Sectionals is equally important as practices, therefore it is not excusable with an invalid reason(e.g woke up late, going out with friends).

e)Juniors are to show respect to seniors and seniors are also to show respect to juniors at all times.

f)Make sure that everytime i tell you to go home and do something, you try to do it. It is so that we would be able to improve our section sound quality,tone and blending and also playing techniques.


I hope you all will be able to comply with these rules. If you think its unreasonable or anything u can always sms or email me or talk to me over msn and we can discuss about it. yup.But for the time being, try to follow these rules.
