Catching up... #3

We got Hunter a new crane for Christmas. He has played with it constantly!

Meanwhile... Brandi and Hunter have moved out, leaving their room for us to take over. It is being turned back into a craft/art room. Katie is in heaven!

And has since spent many, many hours in there working on various projects.

Waiting for the Christmas program at school to start.

This was the last year for this. At Katie's school, after 4th grade they don't sing in the Christmas program anymore. She did a great job this year. She comes out of her shell a little more each year.

How did this get out of order?
Christmas Eve, Hunter opening his gifts from us.

And Katie got to open a gift from Aunt Patty. Clay and glitter. Two of her favorite things!

Okay, so we're all caught up for now.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Catching up... #2

Always fun to have giant donuts for breakfast.

She did a great job decorating the tree.

All fancied up for her Christmas program at school.

My little trombone player. She did a great job at the Christmas concert, but has decided she's just not that interested in being in band.

Katie and Hunter, waiting patiently while Dad and Grandpa work on putting together our new train track.

Adding the drops to make the engine smoke.

John got this train for us which is a great quality Lionel train. It's going to last for years and years.

Very sweet. This was part of a project at school.

Katie and Nicole, getting ready to watch our friend, Anne', in the Nutcracker.

One more update to go...

Catching up... #1

Lindsey, Katie and Maggie posing in front of the waterfall the moms made for trivia night at school.

Katie made Oreos out of play dough for a school project. They looked so much like real Oreos they had to put a sign on them, telling the kids not to eat them!

Working on some cute snowmen pictures for her Christmas gifts to friends and family.

Thanksgiving at Grandma's... she enjoyed hanging out under the table where she had her own "space".

A trip to Ted Drews for ice cream one day. You can see by her face she's really not feeling well.

Elfie has arrived!!

Along with some kind of virus that knocked this girl out for a few days.

Chip, the guinea pig

Working on glazing several of her clay charms.

Lunch at Olive Garden. In addition to her calamari and some breadsticks, she ate three plates of their yummy salad.

So, this was round one of my catching up posts. Hope you enjoyed!

Happy Halloween!!!

Next up... Halloween! We enjoyed the Trunk or Treat at school one weekend, and trick or treating in the neighborhood the next.

This year Katie chose to be a peacock. I absolutely loved this costume!! She made the tutu and we bought the mask and feathers.

Hunter went as Spiderman.

Izzy, Maggie, Cece and Katie, all at Trunk or Treat

Papa and Spidey

This is what it's like having a boy in the family. This picture cracks me up.

And now the sorting of the candy.

Katie invited her friend, Sydney, over to play one day.

Sydney and Katie practiced a song and dance routine for a school project. This was Katie's version of a cowgirl. I personally LOVE this outfit on her.

Anne and Katie, the matching peacocks, on Halloween night.

Katie, Nicole, Anne and Sydney.

Our annual Halloween night, living room campout.

This past weekend Katie found a book she loved. She reads often, but I wouldn't consider her a bookworm. However, she checked this book out from the library around 5pm, and was done with it around 2pm the next day. It was 265 pages, and she did all that reading inbetween all our regular weekend "stuff".

Such as, this Girl Scout event playing putt-putt golf and learning some first aid from the local paramedics.

She's been spending lots of time making videos for Youtube. Some are instructional videos and some are reviews on various products.
