Hello
We are one of the groups in Teens A.l.i.v.e. We are made up of naive, naughty kids who are willing to learn more about Islam religion. We are so glad our parents put us in this Darussalam Mosque to develop in character and mind. Lastly, the ones who contributed ideas are Zahiya, Farhana, Diyanah and Ulfah. While Hidayah, Aisyah and Enyf created this blog to help others to understand what we've learnt throughout the year(:

what we learnt ??
From The Inside Out - Hillsong United

Assalamualaikum to all Muslimin and Musliman.
Firstly, I would like to thank the MUIS for creating teens A.L.I.V.E.
It helps us to be more mature in our thinking, attitude, character and mind.
We've developed throughout the activities and interesting lessons taught by Miss Syazwani.
She has made us understood more about Islam religion.
Her ways of teaching varies from our teachers at Secondary Schools.
Her method is to use Powerpoint slides which includes videos and songs.
There was once a lesson which she showed us.
It's about other people practised black magic.
It is really about that video which we cannot follow.

Starting of the first few weeks we discussed about 'Values'. As in our characters and personalities. We found out new great things about ourselves that we never knew. Such as we can do well in group work and most of us found out that it's a great pain to get up early in the morning, but all the pain paid off though. We gathered a great amount of knowledge about Islam. Firstly when we got together we admit it was hard because we barely knew one another. But after much introduction, we were used to the crowd and got along well. Most of the work are in group discussions so it was easier to think of the ideas. As the saying says "two heads are better than one". So the more the merrier(:

After the introduction module was done, it was down to serious playtime. We discussed about 'Allah', what he does for us and why is he a great importance in our lives. Most of us said that we believe in Allah, but we don't understand why. There is where we missed out. Allah is the creator of all beings and he is the most gracious. There is a reason behind everything that he plans for us.
As He has created us, of course we have to repay. Allah does not expect much from us but just to follow his simple rules. Such as the five islamic rules.5 obligitory prayers are, fast during the fasting month, do 'zakat', go haj' and believe in the Quran.

We believe in Him although we cannot see him. He has created us to live on Earth.
In Islam, the name Allah is the supreme and all-comprehensive divine name.
Allah is unique, the only Deity, creator of the Universe and omnipotent.
"He is the only God, creator of the Universe and the judge of humankind."
"He is unique (wahid) and inherently one (ahad), all-merciful and omnipotent."
"The Qur'an insists upon "the reality of Allah, His inaccessible mystery, His various names, and His actions on behalf of His creatures."
According to the tradition of Islam there are 99 Names Of God(al-asma al-husna lit. meaning: "The best names") each of which evoke a distinct characteristic of Allah. All these names refer to Allah, the supreme and all-comprehensive divine name. Among the 99 names of God, the most famous and most frequent of these names are "the Merciful" (al-rahman) and "the Compassionate" (al-rahim).

We also went into the topic of Understanding Islam better. For ever actions that you do there are bacic schemes of actions that is a five fold division into obligatory, meritorious, permissible, reprehensible, and forbidden. We have to respect each other, that is respect the elderly, respect our teachers, respect our parents, respect each others secrets and personal beings.

BGR(boy girl relationships)is another issue we discussed. BGR is not something Islam encourage as this may lead to another problem which is underaged sex. Although not all teenagers are engaged in pre-marital sex but it's better to avoid it. It is not wrong though if we choose to have a relationship as long as it is a healthy one. Things that we choose to do must not go against the laws of islam.

We also learnt about 'SEX'. Islam do not permit of sexual intercourse before marriage especially to teenagers. It is an issue that is rising and creating a huge amount of worry to parents. More of underaged girls are going through pregnancy at a young aged. Those who are not responsible for their actions tend to go for abortion.

Muslims believe the Qur’an to be the book of divine guidance and direction for mankind, and consider the original Arabic text to be the final revelation of God. The Qur'an itself expresses that it is the book of guidance. Therefore it rarely offers detailed accounts of historical events; the text instead typically placing emphasis on the moral significance of an event rather than its narrative sequence.

Tutup aurat also have a great impact in a girls' life. Without it, it will have a bad reputation towards Islam religion. We have to close private parts which includes our buttocks. breasts, armpit, and thighs.

Mother's Day is the best day you could ever celebrate. Your mother is the most person in your life you could ever had. Heaven is under your mother's feet. So respect her. Take her as your best friend at home(:

Other practices done by other religion is very different from Islam. Some practices are with holy water and others like eating the floating dead body. So you can see the difference. But be aware that this is strictly against Islam.

So in summary, We believe in God for the possibilities to happen and Nabi Muhammad is the sender. Quran is the book of facts over the years which we not know about. Teachers are the hope to A-ing your report book. We should not disrupt the class as we might miss out the missing clues to the simplest answers in exam. Mother and fathers are the foundation of life. Without them, we might not be alive. Appreciate them. Friends are forever with you. Stay happy and respect them. Remember the 5 rules of obligatory (:

We hope you have understood our learning journeys throughout the year. If we have mistaken the facts, please excuse us. And if we have accidentaly say the wrong things, we're sorry. hehe
