Teddy Bo Tuesday

A very good morning to you today...I hope that this Teddy Bo Tuesday finds you well!??!

Winter is definitely making it's presence felt here in Scotland.....if it's not the rain, it's the wind, or the ice....not long now until our first proper fall of snow.  We've been very fortunate though as the two girls we had as guest designers have agreed to stay on with us so Teddy Bo Towers is filling up again nicely.

SO..what's new in the store this week!?!?!

Well...not only have we got new graphics but Gayle has also been busy with some other crafting materials and has made some polymer Bos and Beas...they are now available to order in the store and you can choose from over 500+ designs, you just nominate what style you want and in what colours and Gayle will hand make your bear from scratch...they are NOT made from molds, Gayle makes the armature and then builds the bear up round this 'skeleton'.  She's also putting the finishing touches to some plush collectable versions of Bo...with Bea to follow soon.......hopefully they will be available to view in the next couple of weeks.

I have used Teddybea-249 and coloured her with promakers, I have added the sentiment in Craft Artist (somehow!) and layered her up onto embossed card that I have used Snowman folder on, I have then just inked round the edge with Gathered Twigs from Tim Holtz - I have simply added a bit of string and placed on a kraft card blank.

Teddy Bo Top Tips Thursday

It's Thursday, it's time for tea...it's

and today's teacher is

How to make an altered candle with a digital image - a step by step guide

Firstly tape your tissue paper to a piece of card before putting it into your printer

Then print your images

Next colour in your chosen image.
This is TEDDYBEA_225 coloured with Promarkers

Then carefully cut out your image

Place your image onto your candle (I have used an unscented plain pillar candle) and cover with heat proof paper (baking paper)

Gently heat using a heat tool - you should see a distinct colour change as the wax melts and comes through the tissue paper

Allow to cool slightly before carefully removing the baking paper and there you have it, your fabulous altered candle!
