Techno221 Old Skool Party is happening this weekend..

in fact, its just three days away!

are u all prepared to come down to Pasir Ris Costa Sands resort for great food, fun, drinks and meet new friends?

We will be sms-ing everyone on the chalet unit details as soon as we receive it later today!

if you are free on Friday, and want to come down and help set up the place and have fun as well thru the night, dun hesitate to come. but before that, inform Isaac first..

in fact, the new Cinema at Down town east is OPEN, that means we can catch a late night movie!

isn't that GREAT!

:: 19 days countdown ::

YUP! its nearing the End of April, and really soon, May will kick in really really soon..

And we are all so so excited about the party..

and in fact, we have received several queries thru different channels in the past week or so..

so heres to clarify doubt:

Dress theme: Old Skool... feel free to dress in any way you like to fit the theme, if you have what it takes, come in your old school's uniform or PE tee.. it will spice up the event. If not, be glam like in the 90's where fun fairs and ge tais were a common sight.. ruff up the feathers.. and be enthralled with the feather boas we have prepared.. yes! or juz in your geeky self, or tee shirts in prints of the 90's or even 80's themes.. or dress like what you were in your teens.. anything goes.. remember, we have prizes for the best dressed!

date: 10th May 10th May 10th May!!!!!! IT IS ON SATURDAY 10th MAY!

RSVP: please please please RSVP to confirm your attendence! we need to know the numbers so as to facilitate planning of food and your techno goodies! entrance will onli be for guests on our official guest list. and also, we need your latest contact so as to tell you the unit number of the chalet eh? if no rsvp, we wun bother informing you!

cost: thanks to us, team techno, being very friendly and generous people, and our very kind partners in the event, we have managed to waive entrance fees.. so juz come and enjoy!

:: intoducing teamTECHNO ::

Unknown to many, there is actually a corporate team taking charge of the organisation of Isaac's 22nd birthday party, the Techno221 Party, calling ourselves Team Techno, we have been busy with lotsa of work to make this event a success..

Other than the dummy leader, Isaac, who practically only needs to nod his head at any suggestion we throw up, we have three other crew whom are all close friends.

Introducing team techno...

Team Leader: Isaac Lim. Oversees projects, and is the in-charge spearheading the project.

Assistant team leader: Vincent Yeo. Chooses and make sub decisions on the items at the event. He also has monetary control over the event, and is the initial proposer of the project.

Finance Secretary: Miguel Liew. The key personnel looking for sponsorship and other liaison. He also looks at food products and comes out with the suggested serving of food and drinks at the event.

Logistic Secretary: Ong Chin Han. All non-food products, including door gifts and decoration, are sourced by him. The originator of the theme, he also looks after the run of the event, as well as the paperwork.

The four guys, all knowing each other for more than 5 years now, have been collaborating well to make the event possible.

And more! After discussions with a key motivator and sponsor of the event, 5 Degrees Network, the team has decided to launch itself as a freelance group, and will devote itself into being workers/freelancers under the label teamTECHNO, as a form of identity. Here is the whole new teamTECHNO. (our official launch will be made known soon..)

Isaac Lim: Freelance writer. (Specialising in columns, blogs and campus news report.) Also does hosting works.

Vincent Yeo: Freelance Model. (Good looks aside, Vincent was selected as SP's Campus Hunk in the MediaCorp entertainment programme last year)

Miguel Liew: Freelance writer and Model. (Chiselled good looks and a hot bod, this guy is a regular head turner atbars and club. He declined to be a model despite being asked several times, as he wants to concentrate on his studies. The scholar is currently in army.)

Ong Chin Han: Freelance photographer and photojournalist. (The fantastic photographer has all it takes to make every item he captures turn into an art form. Also noted that he was a photojournalist under the student photojournalist team of LianHe Zaobao when he was a student.)

We always welcome more people to be part of the team. If you have what it takes, and is keen to be a freelancer (look for your own jobs but when employed, bring out the team Techno name), feel free to contact us. Friendships can always be built on.

Or if you are keen just to help out to be part of team Techno for Techno221 Party only, feel free to contact any of us, especially Isac's friends. We need much more help in organising the event, as well as in the running of it.

Heres a cheers to all the current member and soon to be members of team TECHNO! We shall keep techno-ing and remember, di-di-yeo! (keep shaking)

:: Techno now on 10th May::

Dear friends...

With kind assistance from our sponsors and after negotiations with the resort, we have been able to change the event's date to 10th May instead of the initial 11th, so all you filial kids can go home and celebrate Mothers' Day.

So here's the newest and confirmed details:

Venue: Costa Sands Pasir Ris Resort (note that it is Pasir Ris resort, not downtown east)
Tickets: FREE! No cost at all.. ziltch! *but its bday party, hint*
Dress code: Old Skool' (pls see previous post on suggestions to dress to the 90s')

:: Important Update ::

Hello everyone.

With the support of our kind sponsors, and due to the majority's feedback, we are in the midst of negotiation to change the chalet to be from 9th May till 11th May, that means the party will be brought forward to 10th May 2008, Saturday!

This is great news for most as many more people will be able to come down on Saturday and can stay late as they do not need to work the following day or report back into camp!

Hope you will think again and try to make it..

Here's a greater hint to what's in stored as the team plans with our kind sponsors..

We are going to have great tasting dessert tapas from Bakerzin (in negotiation), and probably some great chix n fish and other great tasting western food from a neighborhood food stall (the one with a new outlet in bt batok.. go figure out)

And we have gotten great souvenirs for guests, serving our drinks in our unique techno way. Do make your way here for it!

So till we confirm the details with the management of the resort, we will make more updates on this site. Do check this out regularly, alrightz
