Its been 2 years since my last post!?!?!?!?!
I have been spending way too much time on Youtube and Facebook... time has just flown by! wow.

i think its bak chang season

You know its bak chang season when your mom asks you if you want some... Its kinda sad when i think about it because I don't even know when is bak chang season and what is the season all about... heard some stories before of some beautiful maiden and the full moon is it? or some story about throwing meat off a cliff to feed some animal...
I better shut up before i throw you into fits.

Sacred Monsters

Got free comp tix to watch Akram Khan & Sylvie Guillem perform at the Esplanade for the arts fest. It was really good to see such chemistry between two dancers trained of different classical techniques - ballet and kathak. I like that they interact with the audience by sharing about themselves and also as they opened to each other in the process of improvisation. You can see they have a relationship - they understand and they accept.
This is quite different from the other contemporary dance performances i've seen. The dance vocab isn't very new. But they compensated with their precision in execution because of their classical training. ENJOYED IT! yum.

2007!

Anyways, my last post was last year in April, and now its already 2007.

Yen's DTS stories...

On Sunday I sat down with Yen as she was telling stories to Rachel n SueAnn about what she had learned and heard through her DTS (Discipleship Training School) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) that she is doing now. While listening to her stories, my tears couldn't and wouldn't stop welling up and streaming down my face. I was refreshed as I believe the Holy Spirit was doing something in me. The stories were about God's heart for people, about angels, about real life testimonies of people whom she had met personally and stories of her own life too. She shared that she had been crying n crying herself too as she encountered God in her DTS. I was reminded of my time at DTS too and I can only describe the time I had as being in "heaven on earth"! Thank you God for the reminder.

Thanksgiving to God, the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ!

It's been 4 weeks of ballet at SDT now and it's great. My calves are aching, my shoulders are aching from 'pressing' them down, my right knee is weak but it's when I'm weak that He is strong! My knee started weakening, i guess cos i haven't danced for a while and rehearsing for easter Sunday as well as starting ballet took a toll on my right knee. But I looked to God and asked Him to strengthen my knee, and I knew that God had answered my prayer when I could freely worship Him in dance on Easter Sunday morning. Though it still weakens now n then, i give thanks that i have hope in God who can heal me and strengthen my knee when i look to Him.
I don't deserve the life I have now but thanks be to God who by grace saved me through faith in Jesus Christ, that I live with hope of an eternal life after death. Thank you God!
