NYE

For NYE, Auntie Jenn came out to my dad's house to celebrate.  We took advantage of Kate's close by half birthday to make dual purpose half birthday and NYE cake.  It looks a little messy, but it was delicious!

We had a "dinner" of appetizers and snack food, and Kate got to blow out her half birthday candles.

Adele says, "I'm one!"

Then we let the kids stay up way to late and watch a Netflix kids NYE countdown.

West Linn

We also spent time visiting Wes' family in West Linn.  We tried to get some pictures of Great Grandma Betty with all her grandkids, but as usual, Kate didn't want to participate.  Here were the best shots.

Auntie Jenn with sad Kate.

Grandma Chris lives across the street from the park, so we spent lots of time there, all bundled up trying to let the kids get their wiggles out.

The big girls were off galavanting with cousins, so unfortunately most of pictures are of sweet Adele in the swing.  But she sure is sweet!

Corbett

After Christmas, we spent a good portion of our trip at my dad's house in Corbett.  Here are some of the fun pics from our adventures there.

Veggies!

Adele had fun ransacking...

Roller skating in the hallways...

Piano playing...

Lounging on Papa.

And superheros!

Christmas in Oregon

For the first part of our Oregon trip, we rented at house that was not far from Wes' parents, to share with Wes' sister Tracey and her family.  This was where we spent Christmas.

Christmas Eve day I spent baking a birthday cake for Jesus.  Emeline had requested that it be a star because the shepherds followed the star to find Jesus.  Here's how it turned out.

Then Kaelin and Emeline had a great time going to town with the sprinkles, pearls, and pearl dust.

And here they are with their final result!

We got the girls all in their Christmas dresses, then headed over to church with my dad.  The girls would not get together for a cute Christmas picture, so these were my best photos.

After church, we came back to the house with my dad for a Jesus' birthday cake, traditional Christmas Eve buffet,  and wild present opening.

Christmas Day was a slow relaxing day made up mostly of a walk, taking care of kiddos, and making dinner.  The house was in a beautiful neighborhood with some cool trails nearby.  The kids loved getting out, even though it was a little rainy.

Uncle Bill came for Christmas dinner too.  It was great to have so much time with family.  The kids love their cousins.
