summer update

well time flies, huh?  can't believe i haven't updated this blog since april. . .

it's been the craziest time of my life though AND everyone is on facebook these days but here's an update on our summer thus far:

palmer is in a new school for the summer:

he learned to do the monkey bars!

(on a side note, i can also do monkey bars again)

4th of July

took palmer to confluence park and we braved the rapids together

we did it again and again, it was pretty fun but mama got banged up on the rocks

then to red rocks to catch fitz & the tantrums (and blues traveler which we only saw 2 songs by then boogied out of there)

to the zoo

we went with palmer's class to the zoo. . . we hung out with his buddy emmitt

man i was so tired after running after these two all day! had to take a little nap!

weekending

from regin's birthday party saturday. . .

they made this with drop cloths. . . it was pretty fun!

we went up to idaho hot springs today and swam in the pool. . .

it was so great i kept singing "i'm in heaven"

on the way home we stopped at mother caberini's shrine. we thought for sure the boys would fall asleep, but they didn't and then they ran up the probably mile of stairs and at the top and on the way down and once we got home! healing waters!

this was community day at palmer's school. they had all sorts of people come in and talk to them. i love his school but i got him into cole art's and science academy for next year. yeah me for getting the paper work turned in on time. we'll see though i really do love his school now.
this was from the black history month celebration at palmer's school. his class did an african dance and song. . . i sewed the sashes :)

it's beginning to look a lot like. . .

we gots some snow. . . it'll be a white christmas, but no more snow coming, which is good because this will take a while to get gone.

yesterday palmer and i made cookies cookies cookies :) it was a lot of fun!

watch out for spidy

my sweet little tree, my friend cut down on his mom's property for me! it's perfect. palmer has a ton of presents under it. I may have over done it, but with such a sweet boy it's hard! though i heard a story on NPR about our western consumerism orgy, and it made me feel quite guilty. . . next year i'm making more buying less!
