Christmas Festivities!

Christmas was here so fast again, I was actually glad this year because I was so pregnant and ready to be done with the whole pregnancy thing, I knew once Christmas came it would only be a matter of days! I went on maternity leave the week of Christmas, I was so worried our little man would come on Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day that I took it really easy so as not to go into labor that week!  We made it through all of December without the baby coming!  I was so excited who wants their birthday days within Christmas day?  The kids had fun with Marco our Elf again this year, he actually showed up Dec. 1st and was around the entire month doing crazy things like fishing in the fish tank, showering in the shower and flying in an airplane.  Santa came to visit during dinner at Grandma Thatchers, the money roll with the Brenchley's was fun for the kids, I think it might be getting a little bit redundant it may be time for a different activity! We sure love being with family though and grateful we live close to both sides.

Emmy Turned Seven Today!

Today my little girl turned 7yrs old!  Why does the time go by so quickly!  My sweet little Emmy I am so proud of the amazing little person you are.  You have such a big heart.  You are the bravest little girl I know.  There is little you don't dare do!  Brodyn always sends you first and you are always brave enough to try out anything.  You are so good to your little sister, how she loves and looks up to you.  She is so very lucky to have a big sister to tread through life along side.  You are very thoughtful and I love how you are always making sure that your mom is okay!  You are so helpful, so willing to do what mom asks...usually!  You are a bit of an ambler, you amble along at times and drive your mom crazy!  I call you my "Little Doddler."  I love how creative you are, you love doing things with your hands, you love crafts.  At times I wonder how you are my daughter, because I don't have a crafty bone in my body!  You love Gymnastics right now.  I had to bargain with you to take Ballet for at least one semester, Ballet is not your favorite right now, but mom gets worried gymnastics is hard on your little joints.  You are so smart, top of your class, homework comes pretty easy for you and you are so good with all your friends at school.  You are very watchful for others around you.  You are very aware when someone feels bad and you are quick to help.  I love you my sweet angel.  I feel like I have been with you my entire life.  You are truly my life and I want nothing more than to be your mommy for all time! Happy Birthday my sweet girl!

Halloween Fun!

I usually love, love, love Halloween!  I loved Halloween this year as well, but was just not as "gusto" about it!  I was 7 months pregnant and tired, I am happy I had the energy to put together the costumes my kids wanted to be!  Brodyn's costume was super easy and I was so grateful for the hand-me-down football uniform that his favorite cousin gave him.  It made costume hunting that much easier for me.  Emmy wanted to be a Cat.  Sophia decided on being a witch!  I luckily found their entire costumes at one stop!  They looked adorable and had so much fun!  I wore black comfortable stretchy pants, because let's face it when your 7 months pregnant "stretchy pants" are the only thing you want to wear!  I rummaged through my Halloween storage bins and came up with a black vampire cape and devil ears....BINGO! Grandma Brenchley had her Halloween party we were excited about, and then later the next week was the trunk or treat at the church house.  Next year I will have my enthusiasm back and get a little more into the festivities!
