Peacock Flats

IS NOT FLAT!! The boys decided to skate up and down the hills during our hike today.  It was fun for a while but then Oshyn had the idea of skating down the steep part of the hill.  He may have had better luck if he was riding a board bigger than his penny board...but needless to say, it didn't go so well.  After starting off with a nice glide down the hill, he picked up a lot of speed and his legs started to wobble.  Oshyn tumbled down the pavement a bit before stopping.  Heavenly Father heard my desperate prayers and although he was a bit scraped up, he wasn't broken in any other way.  Whew!

Mr. Toothless

This fellow has lost three top teeth in less than a week!! Too bad Christmas just passed or he could've asked for his two front teeth...

NZ bound

We are all sad to see Grammie and Grandad go back to New Zealand, but we are so lucky we had three weeks with them.  Fortunately for us, we have another visitor/housemate coming soon!

Brrrr!

It has been a little chilly here the past few weeks--a cold front of 70 degree weather :)
Kai is enamored by socks, sweat pants and loves his hoodie.  We think he's pretty cute!

Not just Santa came to town

Ggma Miller flew all the way from Pennsylvania to visit us in Hawaii.  What a trek!  She got off the plane looking like she had been on a 30 min flight.  We were all so excited to see her.  What a special time to snuggle, read books, play games and just love on our sweet Grandma.  She was so appreciative of everything Hawaiian and helped us look at things through her eyes.  We are so grateful that she was a super trooper and made it over the Pacific to spend such precious time with our family.  Kai called her GG and played hide & seek with her--"GG, where are you?" Tyce liked to play iPad with her and all the boys learned Candy Crush--one of her favorites!  Cruz had a tender heart for her sweetness and wrote her a precious note.  Oshyn took good care of her and liked to beat her a skip-bo and any other card game we got out.
Next on out special visitor list was Grammie and Grandad!  They flew in Christmas Eve and got to stay for a few weeks--what a wonderful treat!  The boys prepped by watching Grammie read stories on the computer until the real deal came in.  More snuggling, reading, loving and building things was done.  Luckily the boys had a few weeks off school.
Christmas was fun and relaxing with this crew.  The boys made out like bandits and couldn't have been happier with their penny boards and kendamas.
We loved showing our family Oahu.  We made it to Waimea Falls, the PCC, the famous Big Wave shrimp truck, the swap meet and of course the beach!  As always we look forward to their return and more adventures.

Christmas prep

Barefooted eating shave ice...a new way to watch a Christmas parade!

Kai was waving and yelling, "HI!!" to everyone that passed by.  So so cute and fun.
I am thankful that Haleiwa has a parade.  It is one of those traditions that we loved in Lodi and are grateful to continue here.
I found this Christmas gem...this is the good stuff!!

This is the other good stuff!  Merry Christmas Eve Eve at our Ward party

We decorated Aunt Judy's famous sugar cookies with GGma and our neighbor Orin.

MMMmmmm!!

Mele Kalikimaka--We're ready!!

Mr. FOUR

Tyce could hardly believe it was finally his birthday!  He requested a dirt bike cake and his requested was granted!  We had a little party & his friend Caden came over.  It was a great day for a great little big boy!  We love our Tyce.
