This month went by pretty quick. Joey had his adenoids taken out. We had to be at the hospital pretty early and Joey wasn't too happy about that and refused to put a gown on...that was fun... but we was walking around talking to all the nurses about his Lightening McQueen Slippers. They were kind enough to let me gown up and take him back to the operating room and watch him go under anesthesia. He knew something was going and freaking out but then was out... Surgery went really well, he had a really hard time coming out of anesthesia, was irritable and throwing up alot...poor baby. Doctor told me that his adenoids were really infected with yellow puss and it was a really good thing we got them out. Only two years old and has already had 2 surgeries... poor little guy. But he did spend all day in Mommy's bed watching whatever show he wanted and snuggling with Mommy.
I ran the Zion Half Marathon this month with a few of my friends (more detailed post later) While I was doing that with my girlfriends, Josh's Mom flew into town to spend time with the boys. After we got back from the half, Vortex (aka Nicole Brown) Nana, myself and the boys spent the day at the Zoo before I had to drop them off at the Airport. Who doesn't love the Zoo!?!
After the Marathon I had to go see a specialist for my knee, it went out on me during the Half and I couldn't even go upstairs with being in horrible pain. Found out I have a tilted patella (knee cap) that is out of line with my lower half and my core is very weak (birthing children) I had a few shots for pain and off to Physical Therapy I went. We kept it pretty easy for the rest of the month.
We had one of Josh's co-workers family, the Shephards, invite us over to their place for the day. The boys were in HEAVEN!! The had a fun kid tractor they could drive and a horse walker thingy turned into a swing, and of course Braydens favorite...CHICKENS!! He loved chasing them, picking them up and holding them... he was so so happy! They also rode a horse but I wasn't around to get any pictures...wah. We are really lucky to have made new friends!!
April
We had a pretty busy month that just made it fly by. We went to the Park up the road with the Swings a lot and they are right next to some horses that are way friendly and looking for a meal. I brought out the pool for my little guppies to start playing in. We went to the Zoo with Idena and her little girl Ezery. A little chilly but over all the boys can never get enough Zoo time.
We bought Brayden a dollar store kite and he knew how to fly it with out any help... the most little things makes this little man happy.
A week after I brought out the pool and planted my flowers (with the boys help of course) BAM!! I snowed a foot and had to break out the snow gear again so the boys could play...
Joey is going through phase where all he wants to wear is his undies and cowboy boots...you have been warned...
I am lucky to get clothes on Brayden at all...so undies and running shoes it is....
At our neighborhood grocery store they had the fire truck there with the fireman to have a free car seat check. Brayden was a little star struck, they got to sit in the truck and look at all the gear... they also got free hats. Cute idea
We spend alot of our time outside...majority of the team. Reason 1 it is great for the kids and they don't fight and pick on each other..as much... Reason 2 Mommy gets a little stir crazy in the house and needs a change of scenery for her sanity. So this Spring we spent many days at the park, we got a cute little fire pit to put in our backyard and cooking some smore's. We play soccer and ride bikes...Joey finally learned how to pedal himself, now that is all he wants to do!!
This month I heard through a friend that someone was looking for a babysitter for her 4 month and 5 year old daughters. So we decided to meet and it was just to perfect to pass up, plus we really needed the extra money. I was nervous to see how Brayden would be around a baby but he totally took me by surprise. He is obsessed with her! Always making sure she has a blanket or toy and when she cried he would say, "No more tears, baby" He is so sweet and very gentle with her. It is so sweet to see that soft side of my crazy Autistic son. Joey thinks she is cute but Loves playing with the older girl Mckenna. They are good little buddies.
I turned 28 this month. Wahoo... I think, I really don't care for Birthdays anymore (other than my children) The boys made me cupcakes and Josh always spoils me even though I tell him not to. My big gift was Photoshop Element 13 for my photography and I LOVE it!!
