Food, Meals,and Sustenance Made Easy

-K- So, I'm trying something new. I love to cook, but honestly sometimes it gets monotonous! Especially with Wade gone during the week and 3 kids that only want noodles and parmesan cheese! What's up with that? They obviously don't understand the blessing they have of having a mother that enjoys cooking. LOL Anyway, I found this tutorial on a "Craft blog" and it sound like a great idea. You'll have to read it here:littlenannygoat.blogspot.com. Scroll down on the right hand side to 30 Meals Plan. (Sorry, it wouldn't let me link it) and then someone commented and said if you buy three of your items at a time you will have a 3 month supply of food storage!! Brilliant. I watched a BYU show that talked about the same thing. She only did a week at a time, or 2 weeks or something, but I think it is a great idea. I'm going to try it.
I've tried the Menu thing, but sometimes a day just calls for Macaroni and Cheese, or Frozen Pizza, or sometimes I don't feel like Chinese, but have a hankering for Mexican. I don't like being told what to do either, so a menu is stifling. I like to be free and Exciting, bold, and spontaneous!
I will definitely not just stick to the same old 30 things for the rest of our lives, but I'll add some as they come along. I enjoy reading Cook Books and foodie blogs, so some ideas I'll just have to try! This will definitely keep me organized, and will make shopping a breeze. I have to make a list anyway, so why not make a Master List? I'll be posting my 30 meals on my Foodie Blog. A Whimsical friend of mine reminded me it had been a year since my last post! I would love to hear your ideas. Feel free those 2 of you that follow my blog to comment. :)
