14 Seriously!

Lindsey's 14th Birthday party was an iceblocking party. It was great! The kids really enjoyed it. After blocking we played night games! That is one of the things I love about Utah. I don't know of anywhere else that plays night games.

14 is way too old! It means Stake Dances, IPOD's, (ya, ya I know), and Trick or Treating alone! Our whole lives have changed. It sounds so silly, but all I can think of is that 2 more years, and she will be driving and she'll really be gone. Then it's just 2 more and she's off to College, than who knows how many more and she'll be getting married and having children........ Seriously the panic. We think she's busy now..... Lindsey tried out for the 15 year old Club Volleyball team and made it. That is practices 2x a week and tournaments on Saturday. Nothing compared to HIgh School where they practice everyday, but like I said busy busy busy. Luckily 9th Grade is in our Junior High here, so I have another year .5 to have her not in high school! Life is good. She is loving it, but I still wish I could rock her to sleep at night. Shhhh don't tell her that.

First Day of School

Paityn finally started Kindergarten. She has been waiting forever. I cried for a week. It was so hard. Now I understand what it feels like a little bit to have an empty nest. I don't like it. School is great though. Brett loves school, and so does Lindsey. At least they take after their Dad in that respect. I never liked school. I still miss having my baby home.

The fish from ye olde fishing hole! They fished every day. They fished and fished and fished.
Look at those smiles. They lost all of Wade's special lures. Wade kept giving them a hard time about how much money they cost. They even wanted to make some of their own. There was still a lure in the tree when I went to go look at Wade's fishing spot. Brett lost 2, and the next day Dalin said" how bout the next person that loses a lure doesn't get to fish anymore." Well, Dalin was the first one to lose the lure, so he went over to Brett and said"Your dad said I get to use the pole for awhile". Brett didn't know that Dalin lost the lure until Wade said "Dalin, why are you using Brett's pole?" He answered "I lost my lure, and I still wanted to fish. These will be great memories.
Next fishing story: The hole they were fishing at was Private Property. It was a condo complex. While Wade was fishing the boys were off to the side a little, and a lady came up to Wade and said Hi Greg right? He said ya hi. She said How's Stephanie, and how's your little boy? Wade said Stephanie is fine, and Colton is a little under the weather. She said, are you guys coming to Dianas party? He said ya sure, and she said; Here is a card write something nice about her. She's the HOA pres and she does so much for us. Meanwhile Dalin walked up and said"Uncle Wade?" He pushed him aside and said to the lady "Hey no problem, we'll see you then. He just kept right on fishing. We were dying laughing when he told us that story. It was so funny, and totally Wade, he couldn't let his fishing hole be taken away.
