Productive weekend!

Whew!  What a productive weekend its been!
After taking a much needed hiatus from that Savanna Shawl fiasco, I decided that I was sick of being mocked and scorned by all this yarn that sits in the plastic bin directly in front of my chair.  So with hook in hand I got busy and grabbed a skein and went to work!  I first started with the cream scarf I promised Jasmine.  In a matter of an afternoon I had gone through and eliminated 3 skeins!  I showed them didn't I?  Oh but they still didn't believe me!  I then grabbed the hibernating first sock for Diamond and finished that up! I then grabbed the Sashay Boogie (Purple) and futzed with that for a couple hours and got about 8 inches of Ravyns Saucy Swirls Scarf knitted.  Still grumblings from the bin? Next up I grabbed the Aubergine (OK EGGPLANT-I like saying Aubergine better!) and made my self a much needed hat! I finished in the late evening for that and satisfied that I would hear no more grumblings I went to sleep.... This morning I heard some stirrings from the yarn bin; something about "how I would be too tired and worn out now to do anything else, and how it would probably take me another 2 weeks before I'd do anything else!" BS!!! I showed them!  I grabbed the skein of Blackstone and whipped up a hat for my dear Johnny (No puffball for him this time!) and just to show them I meant business I grabbed the last skein of Blackstone and started on a matching scarf for him, but alas!  I ran out!  Oh drat and darnation!  Got to make another run to the Craft Market to get 2 more skeins of that!  Now in the meantime I've got some other ideas to start but I'm not quite ready.  Taking a break for now......

Pair of socks knitted

No really! It is a pair! The other one is just still on my foot!

Some beaded earrings

Here's some of my favorite beadwork I've done.
The long ones are pretty heavy and so I don't wear them often, but I like wearing the leaves and I get a lot of compliments on how sparkly they are.

Been busy and also sick....

I've been tatting som although I haven't been well.
I was just diagnosed with Episcleritis and also Glaucoma. I thought I had PinkEye and went to get it checked and I was told the Episcleritis was from having Lupus and she saw damage to my optic nerve resulting from increased eye pressure likely from my out of control Diabetes. I am awaiting my appointment with my Endo as I am being recommended for the insulin pump. THAT I am happy about!!! I know I will feel much better on the pump! I can't wait!

Back to tatting- here are some bits n bobs I've been twiddling with...
This one is Miranda's Angels In The Snow (Golly I love this pattern so much I memorized it!) done in size 20 Peacock Blues.
Next is YarnPlayers Points In Time in size 20 Everything Nice by Jess!
I have tatted several more but as exhaustion has been getting the better of me that will be all for now...

Excitement to disappointment

Going through my thread stash I found the last of my skein of Krystledawnes Mad Science I had put away for a special project. I just knew the perfect pattern for it; Jon Yusof's Merriment Doily! Eagerly I loaded the shuttles and tatted the entire afternoon away when much to my shock, disappointment and sadness I realized that I only had enough thread for HALF of the pattern! My heart is absolutely broken as I have really fallen in love with the ease and beauty of this pattern. I now don't know what to do with this beautiful little treasure! Any suggestions?

Another Motif for the 25 Motif Challenge

While sitting around on my sore butt from my wheelchair being broke I finally tatted another motif.
This is Kira's star (cant remember the designer) in "Everything Nice" by Jess! and dark purple in Lisbeth size 20.
