Yo Uncle Man! I'm updating my blog as requested by you. By the way, how come you didn't wake me up before you left? For that, you owe me a present! Wait a minute! Make it presentS!
OK, I resumed Mandarin classes at Tien Hsia on Sunday. No one was allowed to be in class with me so Ayah left me in the classroom and quickly ran off. I cried a little bit for a little while but when Ayah peeped through the window a short while later, he saw me taking part in the class activities happily. I guess preschool has made me independent and confident.
My teachers told my parents yesterday that I've been vocalising a lot more and that I listen to all the teachers' instructions and am always so happy to complete the tasks assigned.
Below is my latest craft piece. Cute kan? Hehe.

Since it was still the Easter holiday, Ayah didn't have to report to work and my parents decided to take this opportunity to help me overcome my fear of water by taking me to Wild Wild Wet and I'm glad they did! We had so much fun and were there from 3:15pm to 6:45 pm!!! I was so upset we had to leave and really hope to be able to go there again soon.
I went down the slides more than 10 times when we were there.

I have not been attending Mandarin lessons since the beginning of this year because my parents felt that I should not attend any enrichment classes until I have settled down in school and now that I have settled down in school well, they feel it is time I resume Mandarin and piano. So Emak signed me up for a trial lesson at another Chinese Enrichment Centre because so many people have been talking about how good this school is.
The school looked very nice and the classrooms are neither too big nor too small BUT Emak was very unhappy with the lessons and the teachers. There were 2 teachers attached to the class. One kept conversing in English while the other one looked so lost. All she did was just stare at the students. The other teacher, the English-speaking one, was busy attending to a girl who was crying.
From 1130- 1145, we were told to play on our own then from 1145-1200, we were given a piece of paper each to do some colouring while one teacher just stared and the other one was busy singing to some Chinese song. No efforts were made to engage the 6 students in the class and the worst part was, the teachers didn't even pay any attention to me although it was my first lesson with them. They didn't even bother to say hi to me and for the entire time I was there, they acted as if I was invisible!!!! Emak was so pissed that we left after 30 minutes and the teachers didn't even bother to ask her anything!!! She was really very angry and couldn't stop complaining to Ayah and we all agreed that my Tien Hsia teachers are still the best.
After we left the school, we went to meet up with Tok Noh and Nenek Jas. These 2 wonderful people are my granduncle and grandaunt from Australia and were here on a 3-day visit. It was the first time I met them but I felt so comfortable with them that I made Tok Noh hold my hand while we were walking from Central back to Merchant Court Hotel. It was really a pleasure meeting them and I hope to visit them one day.

After leaving Merchant Court Hotel, we headed towards Selatar. Emak suggested we check out Seletar Airport because she was told that there are some interesting planes there and we discovered a few things while we were there.

This lamp post must be super old!
Some of the planes we saw.

There were many of these black and white houses there.

To get there, you need to get on Piccadilly Circus and make a turn to Westcamp Road. Emak has been to the real Picadilly Circus in London and she said this place looks nothing like the real one.

While we were there, we noticed many going towards a certain direction and we got curious as to where they were headed so we trailed the cars! And we discovered that there is a road from Seletar that leads to Yishun! And it leads straight to Orchid Country Club. Since we were there, my parents decided to drive in and let me run loose at the indoor playground. This place is open to public, everyday till 9:30pm. It costs around $8 an hour, I think. I can't remember the exact amount.

I used to be so afraid to even step into the tunnel but not anymore! My parents were very surprised at how confident I was because the other time they made me climb in, I cried and refused to do it but today,I tried every single thing without even being told to!

Some videos, especially for Uncle Man.

We went to the airport again today. It was Larry's first flight today and the plan was for me, Emak and Ayah to drop him off at the airport before we went out but somehow, it became a family affair and everybody went to the airport!
Don't forget to buy me lots of toys, OK Larry?
After that, Uncle Man gave everybody a treat at Fish&Co.
Immediately after lunch, I went to town with my parents - to a modelling agency to be exact. And why were we there? Last week, while Ayah and I were walking from Marina to Raffles City, we were stopped by a talent scout who asked if I'm interested in being a child model. Emak isn't too keen on it but Ayah said there is no harm in finding out more so when the agency called a few days ago to ask if we were still interested, Ayah said yes and they fixed an appointment for us. So we went and were given details blah blah blah. To cut the story short, Emak is still not keen on it because photo shoots would entail messing around with my hair and applying make-up on my face. Make-up at my age???!!! NO WAY!
We went for dinner at Bilal. My parents love this place and we have been there so many times, the man who runs the place even knew what I wanted to eat before we told him.
It is located along Sembawang Road, just across the road from Khatib Camp. My parents' favourite seafood hor fun costs only $4.50 here.

I had a great time today. After breakfast, we went fishing at the Bottle Tree Park at Jalan Chencharu and I had so much fun I refused to go home!

As it was my first time trying to catch a fish with a net, Ayah tried teaching me how to do it. Oh, we had to pay $10 to fish there and for $10, you will get one of those small aquarium and a net. They are open from 9am all the way till 11 at night!

After I had got the hang of it, I didn't allow Ayah to hold my hand and insisted on trying to catch the fish by myself.

After several attempts and not getting any fish into the net, I tried using my hands instead. Hehe!

My catch at the end of the morning. Not bad for a first timer, eh?
Like I mentioned, I refused to leave and had to be forcefully carried to the car. We went home for lunch before going to Sentosa to catch some butterflies at the Butterfly Park!

Before that, a drink and some ice-cream first.

The matamorphosis.

Ayah and I kept trying to get the butterflies to perch themselves on our hands but no matter how hard we tried, no butterfly came to us!

It was really fun walking around the park with butterflies flying all over you. According to the brochure we read, there are 1500 butterflies in the park but we suspect the 1500 include the dead ones that they had framed up! For more information, please visit www.sentosa.com.sg . Hehehe!

We went to the ACM again today, for the Sunday Family Fun Day. The activities for today were more or less the same as the ones the other time we went.

There was painting, of course. My parents were very happy with me because I sat down for an entire 20 minutes , painting my rock. I didn't even move from my seat for a second!

After I had painted my rock, I stood in line for a balloon. I refused to go away even after receiving my balloon and stood there quietly to watch the balloon man.

After the balloon man left, I took a book to read while waiting for the storyteller to arrive.

My parents were so happy when I sat down obediently with my cousins to listen to the storyteller but alas, their happiness didn't last. After 10 minutes, I got distracted by the stairs and kept going up and down the stairs. That was when my parents decided that it was time to go home.

It was 10:30pm. Emak and I were lying on the bed, trying to sleep, when the doorbell rang. We ignored it the first time it rang but it rang a second time, and a third. When we opened the door, we were so surprised because standing in front of us were Auntie Sandra and UNCLE MAN!!! Thanks to the visitor from HK, I went to sleep at 2am that day!

I went to the hospital twice today. The first time was in the morning. Ayah took me to see Dr Toh because I had some red bumps on my legs. We went again the evening and Dr Toh was shocked to see me there again. And why was I there for the second time? I tripped on a hula hoop and cut my lip. I was bleeding profusely and my parents didn't want to take any chances so they rushed me to Dr Toh. Thank goodness I didn't need any stitching!

We went to the airport to pick Ayah up today. It's been 3 long weeks and we are glad he is finally home. I missed Ayah so terribly that I ran up to him the minute I saw him and gave him a big fat hug.

Anak Ayah.

Ayah was very tired as he had to travel to 6 different states during the 3 weeks.

He spent the time in the plane watching movie after movie...

and this was all he had for dinner so as expected, he wanted to eat satay the minute the plane touched down. This is "standard procedure". Each time Ayah returns from an overseas trip, he will eat satay first before heading home so we went to Sembawang Satay Club but got a shock when we discovered that the place was under renovation! In the end,we had to make do with the satay from one of the stalls nearby.
