Universal Studios

Our third day in California we spent at Universal Studios. I wasn't sure how much the kids would like it because it was more for older kids, but they seemed to have really love it.

Shrek was their favorite part of Universal Studios
Okay well maybe not so much Brody, he got a little scared...
Brynn loved every ride there and luckily was tall enough to ride them and didnt even get scared. Except for Jurassic Park she cried her eyes out on that ride, all the rest though she loved!

The Universal tour was really cool, and was so nice to just to be able to sit down.
Brody wasnt so sure about this talking transformer guy, Brynn thought it was awesome.

At the end of the day we were exhausted but it was alot of fun!

Brynnlee's Disneyland Birthday

I always go a little bit overboard when it's my kids birthdays, but I just want it to be special for them. Brynnlee's birthday even in Disneyland was no exception. We spent most of the day in Disneyland riding all the rides and she LOVED it so much, she had a birthday button on so all the characters and even people who saw it all would wish her happy birthday, she felt so special.

After that we made an appointment and Bippty Boippity Boutique to get her hair done and this place was the cutest thing I have ever seen,  my parents did this for her birthday present. She picked out a dress, crown and accessories, and then after that they did her hair and make up and took her pictures.

After she got done with all of that, a princess escorted us all over to meet the other princesses, this was her favorite part of the day! Before we left to Disneyland I was trying to explain to her that the princesses are the real princesses not just the ones wearing costumes and dressing up. I dont think she believed me but it still was so cute!

After saying goodbye to the princesses we went over to Brynnlee's birthday dinner and The Carnation Cafe, where I had ordered a birthday cake to be brought to the table.

The day ended with Brynnlee saying "this was the best birthday in the whole wide world, thank you so much mommy", and that made it all worth it! Even if they were completely exhausted after :)

Sea World

My family and I went to Disneyland over Brynnlee's birthday and it was so much fun! We has been planning it for awhile and decided to just surprise the kids, and it was so hard to not tell them I think I was more excited then they were.We drove to my moms that morning with all of our stuff already packed in the car and I had her and Brody open up a backpack that I got them for the plane with Disney stuff inside. When Brynn opened it up I was expecting her to jump up and down screaming but instead she just kinda was like oh cool mom. I dont think that she understood what was going on but once we pulled up to the airport she got SO excited!! She had seen Logan get off the plane a few times for work and ever since then she was begging me to take her on an airplane to Disneyland especially. I luckily had my family with me, but I was so scared to bring two kids on a plane myself and try to keep them enertained, let alone pack all their stuff and take them through security. Well it was stressful  but we made it!

The first day we rented a giant van to fit all of us, and after checking in we were off to Sea World. For those of you who dont know I have the biggest phobia when it comes to sharks. I have since I was a little girl and the first time I watched Jaws, they are so creepy and scary it gives me anxiety just seeing them or thinking about it. I have been to Sea World before when I was little and it didnt go so well, I ended up just crying the whole time. This time I told my family I would go as long as I didnt have to go into the shark aquarium. Well.. when your a parent your not really supposed to be scared of anything in your kids mind, so when my 5 year old was teasing me that I was too scared to go inside of course I had to "'show" her that I am a grown up and am not scared of anything. So here I am inside the shark tank and the first shark I see I FREAK! I just tried to look the other way so that I wouldnt see them, but then we walked up to the shark tunnel and I almost started crying and was freaking out. Well that made Brynnlee start hysterically crying and scared which made Brody scared and start crying. I am sure people behind us thought we were absolutely crazy but hey guess I am not ready to face my fear just yet :).

Brynnlee suprisingly LOVED the killer whales, I thought she would be terrified of them. She also touched the Sting Rays which also was something I definitely never though she would do. Brody LOVED the dolphins and thought they were the coolest and funniest things he has ever seen. Sea World ended up being a really fun place for me and the kids (minus the shark tank of course).

First Day Of Pre-K

This big girl had her first day of Pre-K, she misses the dead line so she had another year in preschool this year. She goes to Sunshine Square and she absolutely loves it, I wish she would stop growing up so fast!!

Brody felt the need to be in one of the pictures :)

9.11.08

On September 11, 2008 I was blessed with this special little girl. I remember how scared I was knowing I was bringing her into this world as a single mom. When I found out I was pregnant with her, I was absolutely terrified. I was 18 approaching graduating high school and was worried about the next chapter I would be facing in my life. I constantly heard from people how my choice was selfish and that every child needed two parents, luckily I had my family and friends behind me 100%. I knew regardless of the situation we were both in, she would be loved and happy. From the minute I laid eyes on her I was absolutely in love and grateful to have been blessed with such a beautiful little girl. My parents and brothers spoiled her and absolutely adore her and were a tremendous help to me. When Logan came into our lives Brynnlee was two months old and they instantly connected, it was so nice being able see her learn and grow and having him there with us. He was so grateful to be able to have her sealed to us so he could be with his little girl for eternity, and always told me how lucky he was to have been able to be her daddy.

Ever since she was little girl, she has always been very smart and advanced. I remember on her 1st birthday she was walking around singing twinkle twinkle little star, and in 5 years it still amazes me the things she knows and does. I know I am a little bias, but she really is an incredible. She has gone through quite a bit for a 5 year old and the way she has handled things just is amazing to me. She is the best sister/ little mom I have ever seen, the connection she has with Brody melts my heart. She is so sweet yet sassy, and makes me laugh with things she says on a daily basis. She loves to dance and loves to sing, it doesnt matter what she is doing she will make up a song to sing to go along with it and she has a really good voice too. She is at my favorite stage right now where she loves; princesses, dress up, make up, and a her favorite color is sparkle. I really dont know what I would do without my little princess, just her cuddles and I love you's have gotten me through some of my darkest days, I am so lucky I was trusted with such an amazing little girl. Mommy loves you Brynnlee!
