Blimey at last some cards

Blimey I have hardly been in my craft room lately, with all this lovely weather it seems a shame to be stuck in doors. I have managed to fit in a couple of cards, although I'm not sure how happy I am with this first one, it just didn't turn out how I imagined!

The challenge this week at Tilda & Co is Girly but Blue. "You don't see many girl cards/projects in blue very often, They are normally pink! Well i would love you to make your projects this week in BLUE! Has to be suitable for a female"

Big day tomorrow, the plasterers are arriving to do the extension, the ceiling in our kitchen and also where we have blocked up the old door. Tilda & Co Challenge - Ribbons

The challenge this week at Tilda & Co is to use Ribbons on your project, the more the better! This was a tricky one for me as I really don't like to use my ribbons, they are just there to be taken out and stroked every so often and then put back into their jars :o)

Been very hectic weekend, hubby's birthday on Monday so we went out for a meal and a few drinks last night. Blimey I really struggled to get out of bed this morning, don't think I can cope with too much alcohol and we only shared a couple of glasses of wine!!! Going to be a busy week, more work on the house and we have to go over to ikea this week to get some bits that I want, hubby looking forward to that!

Tilda & Co Challenge - Mix & Match

The challenge over on Tilda & Co is Mix & Match, use 2 Magnolia Stamp images together to make 1 Image. Now this could be a simple as ,Taking a Tilda Stamp with a Basket and removing this and adding a Heart from another magnolia stamp so she is holding that instead of the basket, Or it could be as simple as Tilda's Head on a Magnolia Horse.

Well I couldn't bring myself to cut the head of one of my Tilda's so I used this bench that I had received in a PIF candy and my new Magnolia Stamp.

Tilda & Co Challenge - Spring is in the Air

I've not managed to take part in the last couple of Tilda Challenge's, so I wanted to make sure I got in early for this weeks. "As spring is almost upon us, the first signs are there now, the spring bulbs, the baby lambs are out already, I thought it was time to get those spring and Easter projects under way!" I'm not one for Easter cards, but I had this image from Hans which is gorgeous and I thought I'm make a card for my Aunty and Uncle who live in America.

Sorry the top paper isn't very clear, but it has lovely spring says all over it. Just a nightmare to get a decent picture!

Kimmies Challenges - # 2 & # 6

I love Kimmies Blog and she has been having a week of challenges to celebrate her birthday. I made this card for the Sketch Challenge # 2, but thought it would also work for Challenge # 6, which is to make a Thank You or Thinking of You or You are Special to Me card as this magnolia image just says thinking of you!

I used an image from Jo at Only Joking, coloured using Derwent watercolour pencils and then cut out. I mounted her to white c.s. and then pink c.s. and glittered her wings. I then added bright pink c.s. to the left hand side, black chiffon ribbon from this months Little Silver Hat kit and pink heart buttons. The swirly paper is from Pink Petticoat and I cut it with the attachment on my new guillotine/paper trimmer. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and I added 3 little heart jewels to the bottom right hand corner.

Tilda & Co Challenge - Buckles

There are 2 challenges this week over on Tilda & Co, one is a Valentines one but I only have 1 person to send to and I've made his!!! So I decided to try the other one which is to use a buckle on your card.

I coloured and paper pierced tilda last night in front of the telly, so I used brown and pink as my colour scheme. The pink and brown spotty paper I have had in my stash for over a year and the buckle has also been in my embellishment box for ages. The stripy pink and brown ribbon was part of my order from Ribbon Oasis the other week and the sentiment is an A Muse Art stamp

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Heart's Desire

This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is Heart's Desire. 'Please could we see some hearts (or a heart lol!) on your cards this week? Already done your Valentine's cards? How about doing a Wedding / Anniversary / engagement or birthday card! We don't mind which - as long as there's a heart or two...or three.....!!!'

I decided to use this Magnolia image that Jo from Only-Joking sent to me (although I have had to buy this stamp now!!). I watercoloured and paper pieced her and added stickles to her wings. I cut out a large heart with my Cricut for her to sit in. The Happy Birthday sentiment is an A Muse Art stamp and I cut with my scalloped circle and added to the side on the heart. The card has been covered in paper from this Christmas DCWV pack and heart jewels added to the corners.

Tilda & Co Weekly Challenge

'This week's challenge i would like to see Numbers, Be it just 1 number on your artwork or lot's of numbers.'

Although I am a bit early, I decided to do a first birthday card for our friends little girl Katie Louise. I covered a card in pale pink spotty paper from Pink petticoat, punched 3 holes in the top right hand corner and tied 3 pieces of pink ribbon through the. I then cut a 1 with my Cricut from the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge in bright pink card and added to the front of the card. I then stamped and coloured Tilda with her teddy and added slightly to the right of the 1 with foam pads. I added Happy Birthday to the bottom of the 1
