Veteran's Day

Even though we had the day off we decided that we would wake up early and head into the city.  Little did we know that we were two hours early for the parade instead of just one hour...... Oh well.  We had really good parking and front row seats.

MS Walk/Run

Many of you have seen the postings on Facebook about MS Walk/Run on November 5, 2011.  It was finally here!!!!

My mom arrived Friday afternoon while Brian was at the Dr.  He had been having some difficulties during the week and we thought it would be best for him to get some clairty on what was going on..... (another blog posting)
We all had been fund raising for a couple months now and the time was finally here.
It was an extremely cold morning here in Phoenix.... It had rained for the last two days and the high in the morning was about 45....... Yes.... For us. that IS cold.  We took it like champs and arrived at the SRP Parking center with thousands of crazy people ready to make their statement and supporting MS.
Overall it was a great day.  It never really warmed up.  But we did enjoy our first family zoo visit.  Thank you to all of you who donated and supported us along the way... We greatly appreciate it.

Team Brianaters

Brian's shirt says "I am walking with MS"
Tara's says "I am walking for... MY HUSBAND"
Eva's says "I am walking for MY SIL (son-in-law)
Vincent's says "I am walking for BRIAN NELSON"
and unfortunately that did not have one to fit Amanda

After the walk was completed we were able to
re-enter the Phoenix Zoo.
Brian challenging Vincent to "Marine
Style" pull ups

Eva and Brian taking a well deserved rest

I don't think they are resting anymore

Vincent is such a good big brother

All of us taking a rest,
of course Vincent is too cool.....

What a way to end the day!!!!

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported Team Brianaters....
Next up..... The BIKE MS. Stay tuned.....

Sunday Morning....

Yeah.... I luv that Amanda is so excited to go to church with me... Vincent was out of town and Brian was not having such a great day.

Happy Halloween

This year I somehow forgot to take pictures of the outside decorations that Vincent put up.  But I somehow remembered to get the two outfits that Amanda wore.

SOLIDS

Amanda is growing so fast.  We started her on solids the day she turned 6 months.  (October 5) She couldn't get enough.

Clean up and Out

Our Ward (I think Stake) had a Wash Clean up.  What does that mean?  Our subdivision runs along a wash.  So, you can only imagine the collection of items that end up down there.  It was a lot of fun overall.  But a lot of hard work.

Believe it or not.... Vincent is working

Now Amanda, Not so much!

A Weekend Fit for The Kings

The first weekend in October we ventured to Santa Barbara for my sister Angela's wedding.  This was our first road trip with Amanda AND a teenage driver!  Yes, remember my post a while ago.  Vincent is now driving and Brian thought it would be good for him to practice on the wide open road.
Let's just say I did not get as much studying done as I would have liked.  But we did make it safe and sound.
It was a really busy fun weekend.
THANK YOU to all of our friends who came out to see us at Rusty's on Friday night.  I know it was brief but it was so wonderful to see you all.  I just wish I would have taken some pictures :(
Friday we headed down South to Ventura to stay with the Arroyo's.  It was so nice to just relax and spend time with family.  I enjoyed running Saturday morning. Not only do the cars pay attention but the smell in the air.  I luv the smell in the air.
And for the reason we took the road trip in the first place.... A wedding!!!! It was beautiful, romantic and we are so glad we were able to be part of it.
