Baby Bump
Well... I have told you all that I would post updates of the baby bump. Sorry to say this is the only latest pic I have. Yes, I look not very happy. This is right after the Dr. and I really, really had to go...... If you know what I mean.... So I reallly didn't want to stop and pose for Brian. Bless his heart whom is always so excited to take new pics.
New Tradition
Brian bought a new fire pit for the very very back yard. (Remember we have a back yard and then a very back yard!) He wanted to have a fire pit out in the back when we have company and such? Really??? He has been using it for his dutch oven cooking. Which I might add is really yummy. Anyhow. The boys decided that they were going to start a new tradition this year. Burning of the tree, Christmas Tree that is. It took them a while to be able to do it due to the NO BURN DAYS. But of course. Once it was lifted, they were ready to burn!
I really don't get the excitment with
the fire????
As you can see they were having
a lot of fun???
I guess they started their own dancing
tradition also...
Boys Day Out
A couple of weeks ago Brian received a shotgun from his father. This shotgun was used to teach Brian how to shoot when he was younger. So you can imagine how excited he was to receive it. One Saturday after our long list of errands we ended up at a "Gun Store" I really don't remember ever being in a gun store. Looking at the windows covered in posters, signs, flashing lights and metal bars I opted to wait in the car instead. Brian was so excited to get home and show Vincent this prize he had just received.
Well.... Long story short... They spent a whole afternoon "testing out" the guns. Not bad, since they did take a friend and earned a Merit Badge along with it.... :) Of Course I was super happy about that part.

Home Economics
This post is a post I thought I would never be able to do...... It starts way back when in the 7th grade. My mom was a great semtrist, my sister and my friends. Me? Not so much. I still remember to this day paying a friend of mine, (whom follows my blog) Tara (her mom owned a craft/sewing store) to complete the apron we HAD to sew for a final grade in Home Economics. It was the worst class I could have ever taken. It was the class I dreaded. Unlike my mom or my sister who mind you could brew up a whole entire outfit without a pattern in one night. Yeah.... she was good. I had no talent when it came to pushing that peddle with my foot to make the thread complete a stitch onto the fabric.....
Where is this going??? My Christmas present this year was a sewing machine. Is Brian being mean to me? Heavens no... I actually asked for one. More than once! I was kind of embarrassed to admit that I had to read the manual again, I did not know how to purchase fabric, I couldn't find the reverse lever, nor did I know how to make the feet go up and down? So..... after much reading and swallowing my fear this is what I produced, without paying my friend Tara.

My very 1st project was to sew the
couch pillow that our friendly dogs decided
to eat......
My 2nd project (still working on) is
the bumper for the crib.....
3rd task. To make kitchen drapes.
They look ok... But really, who knew
that the stripes would end up the wrong
direction.
Last but not least a baby quilt I made
for my sister in law. I did tie it even though
they don't show up. :)

Pump You Up!
Vincent recieved some money for Christmas from his father this year. I was surprised that after his week with him in UT he came home with pretty much all of it. So, when you are 15 and you really don't have any expenses at all what do you do with the money that is burning a hole in your pocket??? You make your first purchase on Craigslist! Yes, that's right. Vincent purchased a work out station from a gentleman on Craigslist. I was really impressed. Brian coached him on what to say, how to say it and with what tone. Vincent was able to talk the gentleman down $25...... We were proud. Well? Maybe just good with his first purchase..... Brian had to drive Vincent across the valley to the East Side of town (est. 45 min) The great thing is, is that it is not in the garage just collecting dust. Something that I am happy about.

My Step Toward Forever
December 11, 2010
I am not sure really what to say in this post? I have so many words but none of them compare to the feelings, emotions, thankfulness, and thoughts that I have towards my very first day at the Temple. Without taking away from all of those things knowing that any words I write can not compare to the feelings of how I felt that day and still today about my first visit.
I do want to say thank you to those of you that know how long my journey has been. You do truly know how much the day meant to me....Words can not express my luv toward you and your faith in me.
With that..... All I can say is I am so incredibly grateful and counting down the days that The Nelsons enter together for Time and All Eternity.
I LUV you all!

I didn't know that I was suppose to wait for Vincent to
help me down the stairs.
Our little family
The Woods.... our amazing friends.
While Brian and Vincent were waiting...... They decided
to browse Deseret Book Store... MY FAV! To top it
off we had dinner at Cafe Rio! What a wonderful day.
THanksgiving in Phoenix
Thanksgiving in the Nelson household was small but very Thankful..... Brian and I had an appointment with Dr. Nelson on the 23rd. And yes, for those of you that don't know; our OBGYN is Dr. Nelson. We LUV him. Anyhow. Unfortunatley he still insisted that I remain on bed rest. BUT~ I was so excited that I was able to bake as long as I sat at the kitchen table. With that, we started our day with Vincent entering a 5K Turkey Trot that was sponsored by some of our friends in another ward to raise money for a cancer patient. Despite the fact that you could see your breath in the frigid air our Vincent came in 3rd place! We were very proud of him. Later that afternoon after watching my favorite movie Miracle on 34th Street (the original) we had our small but filling Thanksgiving dinner. As we sat down we realized that bed rest, working doubles and being a teenager are wonderful things that we should be thankful for. Life is good in our Nest.....
Unfortunatley my only picture of Thanksgiving.... I should have taken more but I am soooo forgetful.....

Another Year Older
Happy Late Birthday Post to Vincent. Vincent and I have had a tradition of going to Breakfast the morning of his birthday before school. I finally found out this year that has always been secretly hoping to be extremley late for school due to breakfast. This year I wasn't going to let bed rest stop me. We got up early I realize that it was normal time for most of you, but for me it was 3 hours earlier than I had become acustomed to. We usually go to IHOP either on State Street in SB or in Jordan Landing in WJ. Unfortunatley there were no IHOP's in are area. So...... As much as I didn't want to we went to Denny's. Just to let you all know. Vincent and his father Randy LUV Denny's. Me.... Not so much... :( But.... We did it. He had what looked like every thing he could possibly think of from the menu. Decided to eat rrreeeaaalllllyyyyyyyyyyy slow.... hhhhhhmmmmmmm Finally over an hour later we got him off to school.... Which I can't say is really too bad. He was able to start the day with Seminary (LDS Religion class in HS) which he received more sugar and lots of attention. I can't believe that my "lil man" is almost as tall as me and will be getting his driving permit in 6 months..... Yes, I am warning you all now.... Stay clear of PHX roads..... :) But overall, we are so truly blessed to have such a great young man as Vincent in our lives. He does keep us entertained and on our toes. It is late..... but we LUV you Lil Man....
