I'll play catch-up later. I just want to record this before I forget.

Houdini
We have a little Houdini on our hands. Wesley has discovered how to remove his diaper and lately does it at every opportunity (naps, before a bath, whenever he's "nakie"). So we just keep clothes on him and he is thwarted. Until NOW. Yesterday, Carlise was getting a new diaper out. I asked if she needed to be changed and she informed me that, "no, it's for Wesley." Then I noticed a used diaper on the floor. Um, what? He was still dressed! A quick pat of the bum lets me know Carlise is more observant than me this morning. And to top it all off, his outfit wasn't a top & pants, it was a john-john & it was still snapped!!! I don't know how he did it!
There is a solution though (besides duct tape, Anna). Anytime I put a cloth diaper on him, he leaves it alone and doesn't take it off. So, now I just gotta finish building up my stash.

Gratitude
I wanted to share two blogs I found today. They make my life seem like a cakewalk. It's a great reminder for me that 1-things aren't as bad as they could be and 2-that my trials are specifically for me, which means I can overcome them.
Blog 1-Adopting William
a family adopting a special needs child. And he is definitely a SPECIAL child who needs all the love he's received so far from this wonderful family.
Blog 2-Confessions of a CF Husband
a blog written by the husband of a woman who has cystic fibrosis and is in a hospital awaiting a double lung transplant. And they are parents to a little girl that was born at 24 weeks gestation.

Still Here
Yes, I am alive. No, I'm not sick. Josephine has just started the, "I want to be alert and fussy from 4-6am" and the, "I don't want to pass out until 2 or 3 am" games.

parenting joys
Oh the weird joys I get out of parenting. First I put the doorknob covers on to keep Carlise out of rooms. Now I'm thrilled she's figured them out. here's why:
Right after Josie started nursing Carlise informs me that she HAS TO GO POTTY! I told her, "Then GO!" So she went into the bathroom, turned on the light and shut the door behind her. She starts hollerin' for me right after Josie finished (thankfully). I was scared at what I would find. Much to my surprise (& delight) she had taken off her "unaware" and had gone potty - IN THE POTTY! What was she yelling? "Mommy, I want my sticker!" YAY! Not bad considering she didn't decide to start going potty until the weekend before Josie was born.
Josie's weight update:
