Well, it's a busy sunday ahead. Will be getting the new place tomorrow. The week ahead will be full of packing and putting things together. Apparently we have no idea how is the house like tomorrow. But my cousin and her mum will be down for cleaning things up. One of the days, I will need to get my new mattres as well.
Oh my India trip has been confirmed to fly in the last week of September. Prior to that, our sales team would be going on a team building programme. It'll be overseas as usual, but i have no idea where. My guess would be somewhere nearby. I'm hoping not Bintan though, then i'll hvae to pay the stupid fiscal to come back to sg.

First week has passed and it was alright. I have more or less adjusted to the time and everything else. One thing for sure that has changed is the coffee intake. In a day, i can easily drink 3-4 cups per day! Scary! And i did it unknowingly till i started counting how many cups i drank in a day.
Have been sitting in for training together with the Power Plant sector and it is interesting to learn the plant system and process. I have a clearer view of what I am going to be working on 1 year from now. At least for this year, I am paid to study the products and undergo all the necessary training.
Currently they are still looking for people and they are waiting to find the 4th member to our team to be sent over to India. So far it's a lot of conflicting stories around. But i am going to ignore it and paint my own picture. Nearer to the day i'll read up more about it. My colleague is already excited about the travelling part. She's been reading up and gathering data that there are 6 public holidays there while we are stationed there. So we'll probably do a bit of travelling. Definitely i dont want to miss Taj Mahal. And i'm actually thinking of Maldives since it's pretty near. At the same time, since India and HK is not that far geographically. I am thinking of a hit and run trip when my family goes there for their trip at the end of september. But i'll have to see with that one. Hopefully i can make it. One more thing, i'm thinking of a road trip, which i'm sure will get negative feedback from the rest, or at least my 2 other colleagues. They'll probably go "Siao!". It's crazy but it'll be an experience. Care to join me for this crazy adventure? YJ wanna come??

First day of work was pretty okay. No nerve wrecking conversations and i suppose it's because i have nice bosses around. For one, the senior manager is very kind and humble and he's very welcoming. He definitely is someone I can look up to. Not that im sucking up or anything. But he's just really nice.
Anyway I may be leaving soon for India. I might go anytime between Sept 15 to Oct 1st and I just found out today that it will be for 3 months. I'll probably be back before Christmas, but that is also still tentative. Heard a lot of stories from the last batch about the water qualities, the food and everything about it. It's been negative but I'm very sure that things are not that bad. Well i'll find out more from the more reliable source anyway.

Just got back from a R&R in Genting. We went up because Vgen's cousin had a free room for 2 nights which apparently none of them want to use. The room was normal but i like the toilet a lot. It had a shower head which is right above ur head, which i did not notice when i first went in. I had wanted to wash my leg and when i switched it on, water came pouring on my head! Then met up with Vgen's nephews. They are cute boys, but the elder one, Javier, took pretty long to warm up to us. I like the younger one, Darryl. He's cute and lovable.
About work, i got called on Thursday on my way up to Genting by the company. And they want me to report for work on Monday. So my slacking days had a pretty nice ending with the short trip to Genting.

For the third time now, I've lost my lens cap cover again. And all three happened at beach areas. The first one being in Jimbaran, Bali, when Joel played with it. And twice in Sentosa, where i accidentally dropped it. Today it seems that i dropped it when chloe was about to ram onto the bushes and i immediately tried to hold on to her bicycle. And it was only bought yesterday!
So maybe this year's xmas, u can try giving me a dozen of lens covers for me. I've tried all kinds of means to prevent the lens cap from dropping off. Even with elastic bands it lasted a mere 3 months!

Well, spent the late afternoon yesterday at Padang. Snapping pictures while having our mini picnic enjoying the jet acrobat there. I've never stepped onto Padang before and I must say it offers a good view of the old Supreme Court. All our potraits pictures are all very nice. In fact it gives a really nice essence to the picture.
Despite the dark sky and heavy drizzling, it didnt stop many people from coming onto Padang and the rest of Marina area to watch the air acrobat show and the fireworks. Thankfully after probably 1.5 hours of drizzling intermittenly, it completely stopped and we managed to enjoy our picnic.

A day of good photo shots and good weather!
Well we had quite a bit of fun going up to Mt Faber and walking all the way down to Henderson Waves near our place. And man.. when we came down, we were almost like the hungry ghosts. It was a day of fun yesterday, taking the kids up there and taking their shots of all the funny poses and actions that they do. Besides that we did a bit of sightsee-ing of what's up at the Telok Blangah Hill and Mt Faber. Well let's see we saw many many big red ants. We saw beautiful flowers, and we also spotted what I think is mushroom on the bark of the tree. Chloe learnt to differentiate a branch and a snake! Claudia learnt her lesson about why she should care for the tree!
I really liked the time spent with nature. I've been yearning to take the kids on this kind of walk and yesterday it was a lot of fun for them. Though the walk up the stairs from Harbourfront was pretty straining. But it was managable with all the beautiful scenery that it has to offer.
Next Sunday we might be going trekking at Bt Timah Nature Reserve. And I'm planning to go to MacRitchie Treetop walk (provided the bridge is not the scary bridge) one of these days. Join me?

Well, I'm still waiting for my employment pass to be approved. I am hoping it's another 2 weeks to that. Currently, I am thinking of joining this photography competition and its theme is urbanscapes. Well there are few ideas running but I'm still thinking of more things to capture. Actually I think I also need my fish-eye lens to bring out the essence of the pic as well. Oh well, let's hope I have something by these 2 weeks.
Anyway Sunday was a great day. I went to Ubin with the gang from Church and it was definitely a great trip! A great trip for my photo-taking and a great day of workout. Cycling was a little tough with all that slopes and all that small off-roads that we went through. Chek Jawa was nice though. I like the whole concept of boardwalk. Then we spotted the one pincer crabs. It's funny how they pincer wrestle with one another and then when they lose, they get back to their little holes to hide for a while and then come out again to wrestle once more. It's like they go back to their holes to gain back their ego and esteem! Cute little things.
My fave picture
Just a thought. Would be nicer if there's only 2 shadows there. It would be like they are leaving their shadows behind. Cool eh...
