This morning serene approached me and asked if I would be interested in watching Chris Daughtry concert tonight. I was hesitant at first as I dont know what would my plans be in the night. Had quite a few plans initially. She had 2 tickets and she herself couldnt make it cos she had deadline to meet.

So i asked Ong, who's normally available for last minute plans. She wasnt free. Wanted to ask nata, but her mum is here and it's her last day here. Asked around but people already had plans at night. SO i didnt want to go. Good news came during lunch. Ong had a change of plan that night and said she could go. So there we were! After the choir practice today, I went with Serene to take the tickets in her office and then off to meet Ong in Orchard.

We went there an hour early and we already saw a queue growing. But thankfully we were still quite front. At 7 sharp, the gate was opened and we were there pretty front. We thought the whole place would be full so we didnt dare to move to anywhere else. Before Daughtry's performance there were 2 local bands entertaining us. We both liked the second one, EIC. They sounded decent and pretty nice. In front us, were this irritating group of teens and there was one of them who danced as if he's boxing the air and a few times his friends were pushing him around and it did look like there were gonna be fight. It was pretty irritating. Worse than being in a club.
During the Daughtry's jamming session, the air was pretty stale and stuffy! Before the last song ended, we just had to leave cos our feet were sore and tired, and my shoulder was already aching from all that straining our necks to see Chris in person. I must admit his voice is really powerful! And his songs were all good. Before his turn to perform, Ong had already told me that she wanna go home after just listening to a few of his songs cos she was really tired. But in the end we stayed on throughout!

When we left, we realised that at the back, there were really few people and you could still get a good view of him! Furthermore there were fans blowing. We regretted choosing to stand in front. When we looked back, we really thought that it was full since the queue were pretty long too.

But all in all, I enjoyed his performance. He has a weird drummer though. The drummer reminded me of Will Farrel! Creepy and his dressing sense was... ehm.............

PS. Something stupid : I didnt bring a single camera along! SLR wasnt allowed and I was hesitant about bringing the normal camera out. Stupid stupid stupid.

I know it's been a quiet blog these days. Well not much of an update actually. Currently I'm still in the middle of filing up my paper work for PR. But i misplaced my offer letter actually. The company had wanted me to start work asap so they asked me to apply for the PR so that i can proceed with a temporary EP and start work immediately. But now with my letter missing somewhere, it seems that I cant start work as fast. I still need to go for medical check-ups as well.

So far things has been smooth sailing for me. And all these I have my God to give thanks to. I know that He's paving the way for me. And i cannot be anymore grateful for whatever He's done. Just that the human nature of me is still toying with me and trying to pull me to the other side. Right now I'm hoping that the letter would be found someday, hopefully whilst i move the stuff over to my new place in september.

I have mixed feeling about starting work soon. I still want to play around and slack but at the same time, I am also excited to see what the job is all about. I dont know but I feel a lot of torn feelings about it. I guess it's just the jitters of starting work.

Nata had her convocation yesterday! And boy it was even more massive than mine. They had more students probably cos their auditorium is also bigger than the one in UCC. With the bad weather outside, everyone was practically indoor and busy snapping pictures. So it was pretty crammed up! They had free photo studios around too, unlike NUS. While I was queueing up with nata to take a studio pic together, one of the graduates asked me if I was the photographer of that studio! I was flattered but of course I told her no. Turned out that student was nata's friend. =p

Anyway we (nata and I) would probably be meeting up with friends who couldnt make it for our graduation and take our pictures together. It would probably be outdoor of course. For me, it will be in church tomorrow with my church mates. =) Couldnt have survived my uni years without their supports.

Thanks for the thoughtful gifts! =)

This week is totally a really happy week for me, besides the commencement that I just had on Sunday. My parents are here and I'm glad that they are at their happiest and proudest moment. Though i'm not proud of my grades, but at least I'm proud to have a God who brought me through these 4 tough years for me. I'm so thankful for all the supports that I have from my family and friends. Without them, I know that I wont be able to withstand all that pressure.

Besides that, my friends are all back here and I had a great weekend.

Today was the Chem Eng people and Fanni's commencement. Didnt manage to meet fanni at all! So we couldnt take a picture together. Took lots of pic, though mine are quite few! But thank goodness there are some pictures in their respective cameras. Had a really fun day just taking pictures and enjoying our sweet day of liberation. Their mums were especially high! Just like my dad on the day of my commencement. Even plain water tastes so sweet!

Congrats To Us All!

Our Bali Trip Moments

Sunday, July 6

My mood is getting better now. Everybody is coming back already!!! So happy! So i wont be bored anymore.

Had a great night last celebrating aunty Anna's big 5! We had dinner at Geylang, followed by durian feast at dajie's. Then Elaine, Chris and I took her for a karaoke session over at Mt Faber SAFRA! It was fun! We sang all kinds of songs, from the oldies to the pop to Sean Kingston's Beautiful Girls. I am glad that she had a fun night last night. Even after the karaoke session, we still managed to go to Clarke Quay for a cake at Coffee Club! Anna was surprised at how CQ had changed so much and became so lively.

I feel like trying out the paella at Tapaz Tree over at CQ. I remembered Novie recommended that place to me.

Today, Nata asked me out for shopping and we had lunch at the 99c sushi over at Cathay. Well the sushi was so so, but the concept was interesting enough for me. But of course i still prefer Sushi Tei. hehe...

This weekend, my parents would be here! Cant wait for them to come, which means that i'm going home!! =)

Thursday, July 3

Places that I wanna go and take pictures of.
  • Botanical Gardens
  • Discovery Centre
  • Hortpark
  • The Long long bridge that connects Vivo to Kent Ridge Park
  • Victoria Concert Hall
  • Boat Quay
  • A greenhouse! (any!)
Of course if there are company, it would make the day and the pictures to be more fun and interesting. I am in the mood of capturing moments and people. Well, i have always been interested in capturing this but recently it's gotten to be a bit more serious ever since I have noticed the improvements in my skill. Not that i'm praising or being an arrogant peacock here. But i was just looking at the pictures that I have been taking over the years and it seems that recently, even after having the SLR for 1.5 years, the pictures are starting to be more defined.

I really enjoy photography. It's a nice past-time to have and definitely takes my mind off anything else.

Just came back from watching this movie with Elaine and Chris. It was a really adrenaline pumping and Angeline Jolie was just so cool in this movie! Definitely more fun that the character in Mr and Mrs Smith. The show was funny, witty and the actions are exciting. It makes your heart jumps at times.

The bullets are no longer shot straight, but it can even curve any object! This movie is really good and my eyes were opened wide in this whole show. I couldnt help smiling and being awed by Angelina Jolie's cool character. It's been a while since I last watch a movie that impressed me this much. Ok, i admit, the Angelina Jolie factor might play an important role in making me impressed. But this show is really cool and there is no way to feel bored, except in the beginning part where they tried to convince you of the boring and mundane life of Wesley Gibson.

I just love this show! A great show by Angelina definitely.
All I want now is a place where I can enjoy the breeze, chill and fresh air with my best mates and we'll just stay there and do nothing.

I dont want to think about finding a job, I dont want to think anything about the future! I just want to enjoy the company of the best travelling mates i have and take in the view and just spend the time together. And of course the camera would always be within my reach (with my mates always reminding me to charge the battery of the camera too!)

I want time to stay till at that time! Or just like in this picture. I wish time had just stopped there.
