Liberation Day! But not quite exciting since it means that I have to go back to school and concentrate fully on my FYP! But on a positive side, it means my parents are coming!!!! So nice to have them around.

Well, i guess my view of the importance of family has grown has changed and in fact i think i treasure them more than anything right now. Maybe it just the maturing process. Now that the gap between me and my parents are slowly closing in and it's easy to talk to them where they'll listen to what we want and say. I care a lot about them now than before.
Now at the top of my priority is my family. They are also the reason i'm contemplating abt my next step in life. I know i have that stupid 3 years bond, which now I kind of regret of taking it. I do want to go back and spend time with them and live with them day to day. Seeing them and enjoying our time together. Going on holiday together. I want that kind of bonding time. I dont feel like staying here and work and slog myself out, where prices and inflation is increasing exponentially!
Life would definitely be much simpler and easier in Indo. And definitely i dont have to pay for the roof over my head! Furthermore, i can probably help my bro and sis run the family business. Although i know nuts about it, but can still help them a little. I can also fulfil my dream of the cafe.

Talking abt the cafe, I realised i need to take up the course in order to know more abt running a kitchen. Even with a kitchen job, it's not sufficient. Without the course i would probably have to start a small setup so that there wont be any chaos. Oh well, maybe i'll start a really small one first...

Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

2. Be Thou my Wisdom, Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee, Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

3. Be Thou my battle-shield, sword for my fight,
Be Thou my dignity, Thou my delight.
Thou my soul's shelter, Thou my high tower.
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

4. Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise,
Thou mine inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

5. High King of heaven, my victory won,
May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heav'ns Son!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my vision, O ruler of all.

Tuesday, November 20

Mum just called and i told her about my stomach flu and the whole week series of diarrhea, and the first thing she said was " So got lose weight???" Apparently i dont think i lost that much weight.. Doesnt seem like i lost any anyway.

Oh and I asked her abt her Japan trip! Yes, my parents are going to Japan in April for a week!! They are going to quite a few places. I'm not sure where but definitely Tokyo. Apparently their friend offered them a few Business Class tickets at the price of Economy Class on Malaysian Airline. There were a few more tickets but instead of asking us the children to go, she asked my cousin and her husband. Oh man... Japan!!!! But anyway i cant be going at that time since I will have my exams soon and also there's the FYP! ARHHH Japan!!! Since they'll be passing by KL, i might go up and see them.

Sunday, November 18

My happiness was shortlived!!! As soon as i THOUGHT i have recovered, the next day i was sick again, a whole day episode of diarrhoea and followed by an acute tummy ache on sat morning. It was pretty bad!! Almost dragged myself to the hospital but after that i fell asleep and when i woke up, it was much better. So i just continued drinking the medicine from the doctor.

Today i'm much better, no tummy ache and no serious episodes of diarrhoea. I could still hit some balls on court this afternoon, just that we chose the wrong timing to play. The sun was very unforgiving. We all suffered a little heatstroke. I slept the whole afternoon away after that.

It's only one more week away to my exam! After that, the folks are coming over for a week. I can look forward to homecooking once again!! Yummy!! All cooked by my dearest mum. Nat and Ong are definitely looking fwd to more crabs too. My mum has suggested on cooking it again.

Okay for now i just wanna faster finish my revision. The sickness has definitely robbed me off a lot of time and time is running out.

I'm finally fine now... so happy!!! in fact i studied straight since just now 5pm till now.. of cos with occasional breaks in between.. Now am just going to revise some chinese characters, at least enough to equip me to go for my oral!

Probably another update is I'm into tennis now and i'm actually liking it a lot.. Can really make ur sweat drip like crazy!! And it makes you run around and around... It's a good exercise for the mind as well, but after playing it I would be so tired to do anything else. But i still like it...

Thursday, November 15

I'm sick again! This time worse! THe last time i was down with flu for a few days and that was barely 2-3 weeks ago. On tuesday, i was down with stomach flu! Had bad diarrhoea, tummy ache, fever, poor appetite and i was very weak! It was a very bad thing to happen... I couldnt study, could only sleep and rest. Today the stomach seems pretty fine, but the headache still persists and i dont understand why, since i get enough sleep and rest all the time... tell me why!... haiz... sick sick sick...

Okay here's a short update.

I'm happy that my weeks of doing FYP has finally paid off and it's moving onto the next phase. But it was put on hold since I had 2 term papers due sometime next week. I finally finished 1 a few days ago and by this weekend, I'm determined to finish my 2nd paper.

This weekend is a long weekend. Most of my lectures are done. tomorrow has to do FYP for a while though since i've promised to meet the Prof on Monday, so must show something to him.

Today celebrated Claudia's birthday. Well just a small bbq that we had with the family. Lao Da and her family was in charge of meaty stuff. They made lamb chops and beef. It was good but a pity the lamb chops was too salty, cos of a understatement of sea salt, but it was not bad. I volunteered with seafood and chicken chops. While lao er and her family bought the basic bbq stuff like otahs and satay. I tried out the seafood bbq stuff from Jamie Oliver's latest book Jamie At Home. And it was fantastic. And then I made my own version of BBQed Chicken Chop. It was heavenly! Everyone liked it, even the kids. It was really simple and it didnt take long to marinade as well.

Initially we thought we had a lot of food, but thankfully we managed to finish everything clean, except maybe the satay. We had a really nice time, though it was a chore eating in the dark. There was very little lighting at lao da's bbq pit area.

I got Claudia a tennis racket since she'll be taking up the sports when she joins MGS Primary School next January. Time really flies and she's already 6 this year. Meiyi (I chose it, actually) got her a Winx Club lunch box. What is Winx Club? Well, it's just one of those young girls stuff! Like Bratz and all those girls' clubs.

She was definitely very very happy today. Pics have been uploaded.

Oh i also went to cut my hair. I actually like my current hair style but somehow, i feel that the upper part of the hair looked like i just permed my hair.. Dont you think so?
