I must admit Sydney is really a nice place to live in. I am truly enjoying myself here. Food is great, scenery is great, weather and ambience is great and the people are pretty okay. Furthermore the company here is great. I've got Eli and Gret, next Elaine and the family would be migrating here and i ahve some more people whom i've not contacted over here. Sydney is huge and i really like it since we have a lot of places to discover actually.

Wombat chasing The kids having fun on the pick up
Our dinner at Southern Highlands
Giant Drop and Tower of Terror

The Claw
Batwing (throws you upwards, and lets you go after that)

I'm back! =) Australia was fun! GC was not too bad although it's a really tiny place. The theme parks boast a lot of pretty terrifying rides which i didnt dare to take. The Giant Drop in Dreamworld is enough to kill my guts by just watching it. But i did take the Tower of Terror.

Movieworld was a fun place too although it's quite small, but i've been warned so i was not shocked.

But overall i like Sydney trip the best actually and I'm glad we spent quite sometime over there. At least enough for me to try and experience their way of living.

While we were in Sydney, we went to stay at a friend's place at Windsor and it was fun to see the scenery over there. She has 2 ponies and a pedic and a nice house with a backyard big enough for a pony to roam about. I was amazed and it's not like she's rich or anything. She rented her place at the same price I'm paying for mine currently. Amazing! I was literally shocked at how cheap the housing is over there compared to here. After a rough estimation and calculation, I figured that I can actually save more money if I were to move over to Aust.

Then there was also the experience from staying at Southern Highlands. It's a nice countryside and the view on our way there was so fantastic!! The hills and mountains, the valleys, it was so beautiful! Then there was the cows, the horses, kangaroos and wombats, it was really a sight! The place we stayed is a really nice place. THough the house is small but his land is so vast!! It was a cosy place to be also. They built a small house at the backyard full with toilet and bedroom. We stayed in that little hut and I loved the experience, although there were frogs in the toilet bowl. Dinner was cooked using the bonfire oven kind. Those stuff that you see in cowboys movie. We had roasted lamb and pork, it was fantastic! And for entertainment we went for wombat chase! The owner had a lorry and we all stood at the back while he drove us to the pedic that has lots of kangaroos and wombats. It was 2 degrees that night and we all were freezing, and mind you he drove pretty fast too! Elaine was all covered up from head to toe, exxcept the eyes. I couldnt feel my nose! But it was fun fun fun! Good fun! In the middle of the wombat chase, we got chased by the cows and I panicked since I was at the most back and the place where i stood only has this railing for supporting my back but not my bum. At anytime if the cows were gonna be ramming into us, they would definitely ram into my bum! And it was pretty scary since they were making a lot of noises and started to run really really fast, and their eyes were sort of glowing! And it was in the middle of a really large field in the middle of the night mind you. Oh i took the chance to see the stars too. I just looked up to the sky and all I see was like the space is right in front of my eyes. It was so nice and beautiful. There were thousands and thousands of twinkling stars and it got me speechless just watching it.

Okay folks more stories later. Now it's time to study... =)

And also, my very first parking fine!
Pretty stupid of me, actually. I guess i'm still not used to tearing coupons since most places uses the cashcard IU for parking payments. Sat night, i drove a friend home and when i got back i didnt need to use any parking coupons. But it seems i learnt my lessons at quite a price! 30 bucks! Oh well, at least next time i'll remember to put.

At LAST, I can now drive legally! =)

Tuesday, July 17

My work period has been extended! Well actually i'm covering for nata since she's going to be having her exams soon and our supervisor had actually added another project onto her plate. And truth be told, i actually kinda like the job now! =) unexpected. Well it does get boring when the clock strike 530, but it's fun and i get to call all kinds of people. Today itself, im pretty impressed with the Singaporeans that i call. Initially i got the impressions that people would just bang down the phone. But 80% of those i called were real friendly. 10% signed up to the seminar that i was promoting and it was actually quite good to hear all these friendly people giving the 'unexpected' answers, ie Yes, sign me up!

I figured the initial few days of the job were tiring for me since it's a big transition from the lazy and slack person to be able to wake up early daily to go to work. Right now i understand how it feels to feel tired after work! and how i just wish for rest on my weekends. Last sat was bad, i went out for a couple of hours for the high tea with my family and i could really feel drained out.

The company in the office has been kind. All of the part-timers are pretty friendly while i've got crazy supervisors around. They are all pretty much PR people who really know how to socialise but they do mean business when it comes down to work. I guess they really know how to play n work. Lunch time though only an hour (+15-20mins) but it's really the time of the day that i really look forward to each day. Not because i get to eat but because i get a break from calling and it's just a time for dilly-dallying. Time somehow pass faster with lunch break around. =)

Well my real last day would be either friday or monday, and i think this time has actually mean something for my life. It's a nice experience and unforgetable. It definitely teaches u to treat all telemarketers with some respects yah! (Of course unless the telemarketers are annoying and refuses to leave u alone, those deserves the 'hang up' treatments.)

Saturday, July 14

On tuesday, after i woke up, nata was offering me a job as a telemarketer at marissa's ex company. So i said ok and she actually urged me to go and take my shower cos the interview was at 12 noon, but as i had driving that day, I didn't go but she did.

After my driving ended, i met her again and she told me that the company are in need of people, so they are going to conduct a phone interview for me. After the call, i was hired and my working hours are 8.30-6! I was a bit 0.O! cos I'm not exactly a morning person but watever it is, it's only for 4 days! I thought it was a no biggie.

At the end of day 1, I was already feverish and that night we would be going back late since we were catching the latest Harry Potter show. (It was an okay show for me). On day 2, i was really dragging myself out of bed, draggin myself to work and worse I have to squeeze my way through to get to the train because of the morning rush hour. By the end of the day, I was also dragging myself home. It was really tiring. I slept over at my cousin's place babysitting the kids and fell asleep at 9.30. Now i know the feeling when everyone looks fwd to weekend because today I welcomed weekend with a really big welcome!!! And on monday, it's my last day!!!! YEAH!!!

Anyway my job is not easy although it is just talking on the phone. My job requires me to invite top management people, like MD, CEO, COO, CIO and GM to come attend this exclusive meeting and it's not easy convincing these people. Getting through to talk to them is also as difficult. And after working for 3 days, today i started getting people who are really interested and agreed to turn up for the meeting. It was a joy to be able to get those confirmed. It is an interesting experience. Well i dont know if i want to do it some more, but it's not my preferred part time job definitely. Right now both nata and I are actually falling sick and we might lose our only asset, ie our voices.

It was a really interesting place to be at. Another day, I would love to visit discovery centre. Anyone keen to go with me?

Friday, July 6

Been a nice week to just stay home and play my 'Innocent Life' the whole week. Nata has been going on and on abt how good the life of a student is. Truly it's a good and enjoyable one, well of course, except the studying part. Being an undergrad entitles you to never ending holidays!! I know it's 'bad' that I'm not doing anything productive at all like the rest of the social norm. But let me be a foolish and lucky girl to be able to enjoy a holiday like this.

This week is also a recuperating week since I had been travelling to and fro the whole of last week. And then, there was the Vertu saga happened, which I'm just gonna leave it hanging there since it was a ridiculous saga. Let's just say it's a stupid thing involving a 17.5K hp and its disappearance over a couple of hours. And it involved me travelling KL-SG and SG-KL in a day.

The Malaysia trip was fun. The company was great, most of all. And it sure didnt cost me a lot too. It kinda felt like bag-packing but just that I stayed in hotels instead of bagpackers hostels. It was a budget trip and it kinda felt good. Although I've been in and out of malaysia for the past 10 years but last week's trip felt like it's a maiden trip for me. I guess it's the thing with discovering everything by myself instead of being driven around that made all the difference.

Oh im excited over Australia trip. It's 20 more days to the trip and I'm gonna be gone for 3 weekends. Ok I'm excited and also not excited since the end of the trip means that it'll be school term again. This time it will take a full year since it'll be FYP year. and it also means it's my last long longgg longgggg holiday! (unless of course i change job, i would most likely take a month break or something.!!)
