Hi I'm back here blogging. Not that I've reached home but rather than i was late and by the time i reached the airport, they've closed the check in counter. Sad!!!! very sad.. and yeah i know my mum must have been so sad cos I miss this year's birthday. Sis even asked me whether i was kidding.
Haiz, at least my mum was understanding. =( I'll be on the next flight which is tomorrow morning. In the early wee morning. I even got a cab ready this time. And i'll definitely be there early to eat breakfast, maybe catch the sunrise and do some readings.
But yeah im still sad over me getting late! Oh well, at least I got mei's company tonight. So I should be alright.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!
Had a blast during the party when we drew the kids' faces with the paint. It was all my idea and they had a lot of fun! They were willing victims for that. And it's fun that the whole family and friends came in the specified dress code. Everyone had to come in either red or green. It was fun when we took the pics. We practically took up the whole living room!!!! literally every inch of it.
There were the Hokkien carolling too who made us sing in Hokkien but they were merciful enough to let us sing in English. It was the usual songs from them. We preferred the one that YI did. (the one with me in it of course). Had a lot of fun carolling that night! We were really mad and high. We practiced hard for it and still I couldnt memorise the lyrics. I had to resort to writing cheat sheets for it. The last stop was at my uncle's place and we hung around a lot taking pics and all that....
Oh im tired after such a long weekend of baking endlessly. Oh well the shepherd's pies were so good! and it had a good response. Ohhhhh Christmas presents!!!! I got really nice and special presents this time. Scarf from Mei, Atkin's Diet Book from Elaine, the best Chris got me Jamie Oliver's book!!!!!! (And of course the hugable dog from Ms Hannah Tan! ) Dajie got me a new wallet (yeah!!!!). Well had a fun christmas this time!! and It's been a longggg longgg time since I last spend Christmas in Singapore. Just so happy to be here.
I will probably wont be online so often cos I dont think i will be at home most of the time as well! I will try to anyway. Keep in touch through email k!

Wednesday, December 20
It's been raining for the past 2 days in Singapore. As such there's this very cooling weather around and people has reason to don themselves with thick clothings. Some to the extent of wearing trench coats. The rain didnt come alone, it is accompanied with strong winds that a handful of trees around Singapore have actually fell. Some on houses, some against HDB blocks.
Some places are flooded to the point where shophouses along Thomson Road and Balestier are flooded up to more than ankle-high (i think, taxi drivers were telling me half knee.. but what's half knee?)
But it's good to see that carollers are not actually deterred from the rain. They had people standing behind them to hold their umbrellas while they sang. Despite the rain, somehow i could see their passion and joy for God. It's really heartwarming to see them sing.
I went to see Stef's mum christmas performance in Singapore. Made up of all ladies who took up guitars and then some of them even danced! Stef's mum dance and it was a dance that glorifies God. I'm sure that God would have been so pleased with their dance. The leading lady, although she may not be a good dancer professionally, but I would say that every move she has conveys her passion for Jesus. It was so clear in my vision, that I felt so touched by her passion. It did stir my heart and I was hoping that probably others who watched would feel likewise. The ladies sang quite a number of songs and some of them were pretty familiar. And well I sang along with them and it felt so good to see them putting their effort in taking up guitar to praise and worship God. The performance overall was okay, cos the songs that they sang were not really of Christmas carols, but the dancing was really touching for me. I just could sense the things she wanna tell God and how she is glorifying God. They were not just dancing for performance sake. Some of them in fact really dance to worship Him. They truly danced like David danced.

*trumpets blowing, fireworks display on the sky, jazzy christmas-y song playing, and slowly a birthday song emerged*
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR NATA!!!!!!!!!!!
May all your wishes come true. And may you be blessed in every part of ur life.
Have a great Birthday!
*more fireworks display, "Jingle Bells Rock" being played, Junichi Okada emerges to blow a brithday kiss to Nata, and next a special someone winks at her and gives her a beautiful and huge bouquet of blue roses. And snow just starts to fall*
Nat, may this scene ever come true yah! =) For now just imagine it first... =p
This weekend has been a nice weekend, spending a lot of time with my loved ones (my dearests girls and the 2 little girls.) It is really relaxing and very laid back, too bad that they all still have school and work so cant really accompany me.
Spend time out with meiyi and sheena. We met up and went to do stuff for Stef's upcoming birthday and to take the time to catch up and talk! Was supposed to be going out shopping just now but ended up staying at my place and just spend the day doing stuff and then had movie and pizza night. The company and food was great!!! After a long time, finally had Rocky's Pizza. It's one of the good pizza that i've ever tasted in Sg, but of course taste so much better if it's eaten fresh from the oven. And their service is good and different from other delivery people. But it was quite a scene when we had to pool in money to pay for the pizza. It was so funny, cos there wasnt enough money so I had to literally dig out coins from my coin box (which was filled with 10cents and 20cents coin). Poor uncle was so nice and patient! He didnt complain at all. Felt so bad!
On sat morning, i took the kids out to Sentosa with Elaine. Spend a bit of time with them. I had a lot of fun playing sancastle and taking them to the waters occasionally and they both loved it. Chloe almost wanted to swim and i didnt bring swim suit. I was just in beach shorts and t-shirts with no extra clothing. There were new stuff at the Pahlawan Beach. There's floats at this certain enclosed place of the beach and people can literally play as if they are at Wild Wild Wet. There were the banana boat around (not the sea sports kind. Just the float) and then there were more platforms for u to climb. The feeling was good lah overall. They both were very happy and were quite excited to go to the beach. We had so much fun that in the afternoon, all of us fainted at home before going over to my aunt's place.
On Sunday, i got badly abused by HANNAH TAN! She beat the crap out of me! She made me look as if i had a bad sunburnt!! Hannah, I forgive you! Basically the moment she saw me, she started beating my arms! Wah terrible! youngsters nowadays, so brutal! resorting to too much violence already! Wearing long sleeve didnt help to alleviate the pain from the severe slapping. (Nat, you've found your match and unfortunately for me, i've got another abuser!!!) And Hannah in the end spread her own gossip when she printed the stuff from her tagboard to gain sympathy and empathy from the Forever Young group (the Lao Laos, mainly us the elder ones.). But obviously her plan backfired and many supported me! hahahaha (see Hannah, u were digging ur own grave!!! cant believe u did that! ps: hit me some more no present for u arh!! and no sharing of present for mr E either!)
I had a very good weekend overall. And without realising there's actually 1 more weekend left before i go back to Indo next monday! And it's Christmas!!! Arghhh so fast it will be over. I want everyday to be Christmas, where there's lots of sharing and so much love during the season! Everyone is basically reunited during Christmas. The festive feeling of sharing is there. And i am always amazed that although Christmas is supposedly to be remembered by the Christians but it seemed that everyone is celebrating it with the sharing and loving. I am just awed by God's wonders basically. His work is really amazing and definitely His love is overwhelming and it's something that none of us can ever understand. The spread of His love for us could even affect non-believers to know that Christmas is the time to remember our loved ones. It's differnet from other festive seasons. Compare it to CNY, Hari Raya or the Indian's new year. They are all different. It doesnt have the same feelings involved. Oh well like I said, God is so Good to us.

I know i havent been writing after my exam. I have almost gone MIA in fact. After the camp, i just havent been home and have been doing a lot of Christmas shopping. There's still lots to be done.
I'm finally home after a weekend at elaine's. Chris and I have volunteered to contribute some stuff for the family Christmas eve dinner, so we tried out cooking some stuff and gathering ideas.
I made Shepherd's pie, and yes it was a success. It is darn good.. but im still trying to see what herbs to put it to even make it more solid. I have to do it in their house cos i have no oven in my house and doing all these cooking just gives me more reason to get an oven. Not toaster oven but conventional oven! And i didnt realise how easy it was to make Shepherd's pie.
I've involved myself in a few things for Christmas this year. Youth carolling on the 23rd night, will be going to 3 houses to sing and coincidentally the last place would be my uncle's. I will be helping my aunt to prepare food before going for carolling and for a treat, I will be making Shepherd's pies for my mates. =p.. There's also Christmas Bazaar in church that day, I will probably be helping out with the games stall.
Christmas Eve, as usual time with the family. This time the whole Chan clan would be gathering after a hiatus from the tradition. And that also means that have to buy MORE presents. I'm broke..... I still have a long list of presents to get... But i know it will be fun this year.
