The surprise was a blast! well she really didnt expect anything! it was real great!!!! thank god had the video camera with me.
Well the maze part didnt work out as planned, but we made do here and there and still managed to get her to do half the maze including of singing happy birthday to herself in front of someone's else's door! Cos there were like 3 rooms she was supposed to guess. She can either insert the card herself or choose to sing a song for herself and then i will reveal which room is it. She almost slot the card into someone else's room. THank GOd she sang in the end...
I didnt take any pics cos stupid me forgot to bring camera of course. But we took some in sheena's camera, but apparently sheena takes ages to put it up!!! SHEENA!!!!

Things to blog
Well im back from Medan, my uncle's hometown. I was accompanying my relatives from HK and my parents.
Never did it occur to me that Medan is pretty small and its surrounding cities are very backward. I went to the infamous Lake Toba, and it's like going back to the nature! Where air is fresh, people are villagers and fishermen, the nature hasnt been altered or disturbed by men.
It was one kind of a trip this time. Different frm the usual trip that i go and actually im pretty glad that i went. BUT! BUT, the s**t thing is, I FORGOT MY CAMERA!!!!!!!! it was one kind of an opportunity of taking lots of good pictures of the villagers, of the whole kampong and the view!!!!!
Although i had a video camera with me, it's a real regret not to bring my camera. I brought its charger instead! dUMb me...

next post tonight will be abt mei's bday...

bbq with only 4 people....
well i've been wanting to do this kind of bbq for the longest time.. just us eating and gossiping. so everyone is basically just ard the bbq pit n not like u have a lot of people and everyone entertain themselves while a few will have to do the cooking...
so i did it today... initially thought of only me nata tony and marissa and hanjin... but tiz morning marissa went down with very bad cough so she couldnt make it... die... i have food for 6-7 people but there's only 3 of us left... so went to ask tez n ong.. but they couldnt make it... the other day nata asked me how come meiyi is not coming... so the next person i can think of is her... since she can connect with them anyway...
so anyway the bbq started with me nata and tony trying VERY HARD to get the fire going and getting the charcoal all lit up... took us 1 hour to get it all lit up i think. a while later meiyi came so we were all enjoying the food and there was this aunty that came by and commented on our bbq looking all nice and maybe trying to see if we will give her some,... not sure abt that but it seems like it... oh we brought down the toaster down too, since tony went to do mushroom and the broccoli and cheese.. yum yum...
for dessert we had BBQ chocolate banana, but it didnt turn out like the last time we did it so sad... but but but we used it to give meiyi an early surprise bday.. it was sort of nata's idea.. in the beginning before mei came, she actually brought down candles, smart ah.. so when we wanted to do the banana stuff, we forgot to buy chocolates so i brought mei to go and buy chocolate while nata and tony prepared the supposed birthday "cake"..
after coming back, nata was telling me to get the candle going since the both of them couldnt light it up, so i asked nata to distract mei since mei was heading towards the direction of the pit. so i lit it up and asked mei to bring over the chocolate so when she came over, we all sang happy birthday song!!! well it's a few days early but never mind...
after the bbq we took lots of pics but mostly ghastly cos i used nitemode, so when either of us move, we look like ghosts. but a few of them look real nice!!!

something stupid
well i did something stupid today...
meiyi was withdrawing money since she was holding onto some stuff she asked me to withdraw 100 bucks for her... I was on her right, so parallax error, i saw 100 bucks on the right... but it was actually 1000! since parallax i cant see the last 0... so to our horror! we couldnt cancel the whole transactioN!!! so meiyi got stunned!!!! wahhh we withdrew 1000! and yeah put them in my wallet, since they cant even go into meiyi's i think.... was looking for UOB bank but the nearest was at somerset and we were kinda too lazy to go and bank in. thank god near mei's house there's a UOB bank so can deposit it.
oh i cut my hair... and it looks very ugly... at least i think it's ugly... kinda look like mushrooM! arghhh.... nata also agreed it doesnt look nice!!! haiz.... i think next month must really go back to save my hair!!!

when i turn my house into an office this morning, i just didnt want to stay home anymore by the time it was 5.30 pm... Just wanted to leave the house... and i did...
well was supposed to meet nata for dinner, that's why i was actually all changed and ready to go but due to misunderstanding, i didnt go to meet her. But i didnt want to stay home either so i went out down town, carrying with me my SLR. Wanted to go for a photo-hunting session and practice my night picture taking skills too. But in the end, me and nata met up for our dinner in the end. After dinner, while she go and meet someone (the cause of misunderstanding), i wandered about in Orchard, just breathing in the night air and looking at places where i can find something intriguing or something very Singapore. But i ended up going to the E-zone arcade at Cineleisure. Spent about an hour there playing!! It was fun, quiet with nobody watching u play. No one to disturb u. But it definitely didnt look the same anymore.
After that went upstairs to watch movie trailer while enjoying the air-con.. And also trying to find some ideas or creative juice in me for my work. That's why the solace though the environment wasnt so solace. After that went down to John Little starbucks. It is defintely the one quiet place and very very good for chilling out. Oh and guys ogling too! hehehee. I sat there for probably another hour or maybe close to it, reading 8 days enjoying my mango tea and have all the time to myself.
After that walked down Orchard Road but not along the shopping malls, rather the opposite side of it and it was a good stroll. When i saw the new Cathay cineleisure at PS, i was so awed by the look that i started taking pictures again. Then when i turned, i saw how peaceful ORPC looks, so i took another snap. Walking down, i turned and i saw this huge ERP gate!!! And i smiled. Which other place in the world has ERP gate? it's only in Singapore. Agree?
Seeing wat time it was and i was kinda waiting for nata so that we can go home together, i called her and it was actually out of signal (batt dead). I didnt have a good feeling instantly, but i know for sure she was at clarke quay. So i ran all the way to Clarke Quay. In the end managed to get her and then we went home. After hearing her, i was relieved and back to my photo hunting mode again. Then went back after that...
tomorrow i hope it's much better n i can think of something. actually i kinda like wat i did tonight. except the running and worrying.. =p... but having time for myself is really refreshing. nothing abt time nothing abt rushing. it's like time has stopped.
*well i know that you could take care of urself, but it couldnt calm me when i have that bad feelings. I wud rather believe the bad feelings and get all relieved. Much better than pretending things.*
