Im really overwhelmed by the voices as well as the music arrangement that I really feel as if im in their midst when i hear the song. At some points it just gives the goosbumps all over me.
It also make me desire to get my 6 speakers sound system for the laptop!!!! I feel im doing them injustice by using a small tiny speaker!! I think i have sort of made up my mind now. I will get that speaker system!!!
arghhhh... HALLELUJAH!!!! KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS. And He shall reign forevermore.
It also brought me memories as how i have first gone for the church grand annivesary celebration. We performed this song. A troops of choir singers from 3 different services, from different languages, uniting together to sing this song. Actually i think there are 5 choirs altogether, inclusive of the youth and children. It was really grand!
Haiz choir. If only it can be like those times again, where there are still so many of us there.

time to get serious..
it's time to be serious in my study. 2 more months to exam and i think i have to start doing some summary work for all the things that i've learnt so far. It's good that slowly my tuition kids are having their exams early which will give me ample time for revision.
im going to attend to all the lectures unless situation state otherwise. =p today i wanted to come for morning lecture but i didnt know that the cough mixture that i took last nite was so powerful that i could not wake up at all!!! so i ended up missing the lecture.
everyone in NUS is just getting me so inferior! sometimes i wonder how come i go to NUS instead of NTU! From wat i heard, people in NTU are so used to repeating their modules that when they hear people claiming they have to 'dapao', it is quite common. In NUS, getting a low cap (point system based on all the modules you have taken) itself is already an embarrasing thing to confess! I think if anyone has to repeat modules in NUS, they will get quite a shocking response from others. Just now my ex-tut classmate was remarking how he is not doing well and need to buck up. Man he scored an above average 3.8 out of the total 5!!!!!!! whereby me i scored only 2.6!!! the pass is 2. And guess how i felt! I was a little sad but then of course i didnt let it get into me. For im already thankful to God for blessing me with that grades. All that difficult exams and i still managed to scrape through. It was miracle that only God could have done that. He was going on how his ideal cap would be 4. All i know is that im really thankful for what i have already. But of course being thankful does not mean i do not improve my cap. Of course i want to!
Im studying hard right now so that i can achieve that! And God bless me, i hope that He will bring me to it. I hope the rest will also go through the same thing like me. Especially those going to sit for exams be it, the finals, A levels or modular exams in Oct, Nov. Prepare early k! Dont have last minute revision. Start now.

nata's pomelo observation.... my thoughts.
well i think yesterday... after lunch we were eating the last of the 2 pomelo that we had in our house. while we were eating, nata observed and was actually amazed by how each of the pomelo grains were able to stick to one another PERFECTLY without any gaps. And mind you they are not of from any patterns or something that u can actually stick together out of some assymetric and random-shaped grains. And yet they were stuck to each other perfectly without any gaps in between them.
She was amazed at how did God has His unique idea of creating pomeloes. His works of wonders are really remarkable and great. And then i just added something like imagine if people were like that. God's idea could be that he created people differently so that when we are put together, we become one like the pomeloes and fill up each other's gaps and differences.
But then she also made another comment about how once we tear them apart u just cant put them together again and that there'll be gaps among them. And in her blog she mentioned something about how maybe we were perfect but because we disintegrates from Him, our sins imperfects the whole thing.
I feel that maybe God created our life to be perfect and simple. The idea is simple to just stay united together and obey His commandments and just be happy and merry. If u noticed, when we just take a few grains of the pomeloes, the other grains start crumbling too. We can parallel this analogy to human. Just because of the fall of Adam and Eve, the rest of us fall into sin as well. Just because of eating the fruit of knowledge. Eating... is a very very simple task and so simple and yet it has caused us to fall into sin by disobeying the Lord. Then we start making life so complex by our means of technology. Trying to go against the will of God through cloning. His plan is his and his alone and none of us has the right to go and foil His plan. We get so dependent on technology and too absorbed in our daily lives that we at times forget about Him.
Our faith start to be put aside to make way for the faith in technology and science. Everything is done for a reason. yes, when I say that I mean God's purpose. But look at things nowadays, everything is explained through science. How did human come about? some say evolution from a gorilla or orangutan. Imagine ur forefathers were once animals, will it be somethign that we are proud of? If that were the case, why werent human classified as animals as well but taking in other forms.
If only God's presence can be felt by all! Or the Holy Spirit is in everyone! I dont think violence will still prevail today. Look at how gruesome people can be nowadays. Killing is one thing but imagine, chopping the bodies into pieces and throwing them at separate places, bashing your own housemates and friends with a baseball bat and worse to the extent of death! Throwing infants in rubbish chutes! Where is compassion? Where is conscience? It just saddens me that these few months there's been cases of chopped bodies been found here. And all were killed over small trivial matters i believe. Look at what the world has become without faith. Even if it's not faith to my God, but at least faith to their own God! Im sure most people still believe in karma. Arent they supposed to be in fear of karma? Has the world really gone ashtray that badly?
The end is coming soon. When we do not know. But i know for sure if we do not start correcting the way we live now and go back to Him, i dare not think of the outcome.
" I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes through the Father except through me."
Recently, i have heard that there's a preacher coming to Singapore to preach at Suntec, if im not mistaken. He has claimed that he is the Son of Man, which is equivalent to Jesus. Yes we are waiting for the second coming but Jesus told us in the bible of how we should expect the second coming. He told us of the signs of the second coming in Luke 21:5-38 clearly.
1. "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ' I am He' and ' The time is near.' Do not follow them" Luke 21:8. Look at it! Even the Lord knew of this. And this is the will of God as a sign to warn us.
2. "When you hear wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away! " Luke 21-9. He went on about how " nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful eventsand great signs from heaven." Look at this! look at within this 3 years. IRAQ USA War, Terrorism everywhere, SARS, Bird Flu, Tsunamis,Bombings, Earthquakes, Typhoons, Hurricanes, Dengue. Just within 2 years all these things happen. Dont you just feel amazed and doesnt it strike some fear of God and reverence to Him? Is it purely coincidental? I would say this is His great plan.
3. " But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons ad you will be brought before kings and governors and all on account of my name." And let me tell you many christians missionary had been killed and tortured in China alone, all in the name of the Lord. many were persecuted in Phillipines and other parts of the world. many in the world today who received prejudice and injustice because they have stood by their faith. Even in our community today, in the modern world, we as Christians are still being persecuted daily. People who despised Christians are many. there are also those that are threatening to close down churches and also those whose life are at stake. How churches were burnt down at one period of time in Indonesia, these just confirms how the Lord has known all these. How he had planned all these.
A lot more signs are written in the bible. And the Lord remind us faithfully. "By standing firm,you will be saved." Chaos will also be one of the signs, where everyone betrays one another. EVen parents and brothers and friends will go against you. But only when we stand firm in our faith and in Him, can we be saved. The Holy Spirit will be with us and only then we can withstand. Resist all other temptations and stand firm. Do not allow youself to be deceived. For when we are deceived, it just shows how feeble our faith are.
When the great punishment comes, no one will be spared except the elect. But even the elects can go astray from Him. If the days of the great punishment were to be carried out as planned, no one in the world will be spared. But through the grace of the Lord, it will be shortened as he had said in the bible. And that's when the Son of Man will come down from heaven in his glory and majesty. That's when the second coming is fulfilled.
I have said before, being a Christian is not an easy task and really and truly, from a human's point of view, we will not be able to withstand all the trials. But through the grace of the Lord, we have the Holy Spirit in us who do all the work when we give our lives to them completely. The Holy Spirit will let us know what to do and what steps to take. HE will take care of us and let nothing harms us. He can give us trials and punishment but he will not harm us. He is disciplining us, teaching us as we are all children of His kingdom. Do not fear or fret about being a christian. For He will be our guidance and leader in evry part of our lives if you let Him take control of your life.
Therefore, repent, repent, repent. Confess our sins to Him and let Him come to our hearts.

Mid Autumn Fest
WEll Mid-Autumn this year is another memorable one!! Last year the pomelo eating competition was the highlight of the year.. And this year, we have Tony organised a little something and all of us ended up celebrating together happily! We had potluck but poor nata was sick and had to make do with porridge while the rest of us enjoy the other food! After we had our dinner and games, we all went down to play lanterns as well as taking tonnes of pictures (as usual) !! Well we had a good time lighting the lanterns and taking pictures with them! Though it was mini but they were really nice! And then for dessert we had tang yuan (glutinous balls) which i know a bit off for mid autumn but it was very very nice. The mooncakes are also nice!!! Early beginning of the week, nata and I went to lot1 and tried this raspberry cheese mooncake! It was wonderful!!! SO NICE!!! superb! but too bad we all didnt get to eat that mooncake anymore..
Anyway today celebrated Mid Autumn at Eunos, my uncle's place. WE had steamboat and well as usual we will take the kids out to walk with the lanterns and all. So funny since singapore is stricken with dengue-mosquitos, we armed ourselves with lots of insect repellant and elaine went to the extreme of putting the mosquito coil into one of the lanterns so as to prevent the mosquitos from coming near us. And then while they were playing with the lanterns, we helped ourselves to the mooncakes and i think im going to get a sorethroat becos of the mooncakes! But i just cant help it! They are so nice to eat! hahaha.. oh man i miss the raspberry cheeseeee!!
This week is holiday week!!! yay!! but defintely i must study doubly hard! Cos i have been lazying ard the last 2 weeks and i gotta catch up with the lectures that i've skipped. =p...
