There's still more....

I guess this is what happens when life gets busy......  I still take the camera and take a few pictures here & there but I struggle to find time to post them on this blog!  Right now it is 12:37am and I still have a hand full of pictures to be added, and it's not going to happen tonight.  Tomorrow is a holiday and I have the day off....I may find time to post the rest of my pictures but at this point I'm not making any promises!

Enjoy the ones that are here for now & I will add the rest as I can.

At the Lake

I'm not sure who took the sunset picture, McKayla or Trevor, either way it's a great picture.
Charlie
McKayla
Jensen
Trevor took the kids to the lake one day after school.  They had lots of fun - they always do because dad let's them do lots of things that mom doesn't.

1st day of School

I can't believe it's here already, but the kids started school on the 20th of August.  McKayla is in 6th grade and Jensen started 3rd grade this year.

Hogle Zoo .... again

A couple of weeks ago, right before school started, we went to the Zoo again.  It was the perfect day to go - cool weather and all of the animals were active.  It was fun to see all of them.
Don't worry, we'll be going back soon to see the baby elephant and tigers!

I figure we might as well get our money's worth for the annual pass that we got earlier this year.

Nap Time!

I just love that Charlie's foot is on Trevor's head in this one.....obviously they were both way tired.

Summertime Fireworks

We went to Highland and watched the firework show for the 'Highland Fling'.  Trevor was working in American Fork but was still able to hook us up with front row seating, not with out a price though, as you can see.....we were laying on the asphalt!  Good thing kids are flexable.

Overnight Camping Trip

Early in August we took our trailer with my parents and their trailer on an 'over-nighter'.  They have a membership at the Timp Marina Boat Club.  We decided around noon on Saturday to take the trailers down there and spend the night and next day just relaxing.

.....kind of hard to relax when you see the biggest moth ever!

Me & Charlie 'raced' down the slide....she thought that was great.

Boone spent over an hour chasing sticks into the lake and bringing them back for us to throw for him again.  He loves being in the water!

When we got back to the trailer Charlie found some treats.  Poor Boone, always left out on the good stuff.....unless Charlie is there....she shared her cookies with him and he didn't stop begging until the bag was empty.
These last two pictures were just too cute not to share!

Kenny Chesney Concert

I made it to the Kenny Chesney concert in July.  It was so fun, and Rio Tinto is a good place for a concert.....when it's not 100+ outside!  We made the best of the heat anyway and enjoyed the concert.

3yr Oldr Pictures

I had Charlie's pictures taken for her birthday.  These are my two favorite out of the ones that were taken.  I can't believe how fast time goes by!  I know I say that all of the time but it is so true.
Jen Stafford took these pictures and did a great job.  Check out her photography blog to see some of her work.
Thanks Jen!  I'll be calling you again for sure.

Charlie gets Tubes

Jensen has had two sets of tubes but this time around it was Charlie's turn.  We had to be at the hospital at 6:30am, which wouldn't have been too bad other than Charlie woke up at 4:00am and had no interest in going back to sleep.  She wanted chocolate milk that of course, she couldn't have - it was a bit of a struggle!
She was so cute with all of the check in stuff and when we changed her into her 'hospital jammies'.

They gave her some medicine that made her REALLY loopy before they took her back into surgery.  It was the funniest thing that I had seen in a very long time.  She wasn't so funny when they brought her back to us though, she cried almost the whole way home.
Now she's doing tons better and hopefully the tubs will pay off.

Snowbird

A couple of weeks ago we went with Cale & Michelle to Snowbird.  We spent the afternoon up there and had a great time.  We rode the tram to the top where you can look one way in to the Salt Lake Valley and if you look the other way you can see part of American Fork Canyon and the Heber Valley.  It is so BEAUTIFUL up there!
Trevor & Me -- Cale & Michelle

We rode the zip line a few time and had lunch up there.  Trevor took the picture of me & Michelle - I think we could pass for sisters!

Baby Quilts

I've been sewing again!
If anyone is interested, I have started selling a few so let me know if you or someone you know may want one.
(this one is already gone though)

4th of July

This year we spent the 4th of July weekend with lots of family and friends at my Aunt's cabin.
On Friday night a big group of us went to the rodeo in Hannah.  It was lots of fun.  Charlie hadn't been to a rodeo before and she wasn't sure what to expect.  She covered her ears for the first little while when we got there - it was kind of funny.
Of course, the girls had to check out the cows.

Charlie had fun sitting with my cousin Joel - they were sharing McKayla's snowcone.

On Saturday morning we went back in to 'town' for the parade.  It is such a small town!  The parade went past us and down the street, then they turned around and came back past going the other direction.  All of the kids had a blast and got tons of candy, beads and even hats!

When the parade got over we went to the general store, mostly just to check it out.  I almost hit my head on this Moose!  Charlie thought it was pretty cool and just had to touch it.

McKayla spent a lot of time looking for lizards.  She caught two and brought them home.  Unfortunately, they didn't live long at our house.

Charlie and some of the other little kids played in the 'pool' at the cabin.  We didn't take her swimming suit so it took a little bit for us to convince her that she could play in the water in her underwear.
I went on the 4wheeler for a ride Saturday night and I was covered in dust when I got back!
Look at these cute girls - just swinging on the porch.

Country Jam

Me and Trevor went to Country Jam in Colorado at the end of June.  We went with Murf & Dean, Rusty & Wendy.  The group we went with have all been before and it was the first time we have gone.  We were camped, with about 20,000 other people in a grass hay field just outside of Grand Junction.  We had tons of fun & plan on going again next year.

Charlie turns 3

Charlie loves princesses, so for her birthday this year she got lots of princess stuff & she absolutely LOVED it!
I can't believe how fast the last 3 years have gone by.  It really doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we were bringing her home from the hospital and she was as small as some of the dolls she plays with now.
She is such a cute little girl and she runs the show at our house.
Princess Charlie!
