Super pumpkin, super pup

Halloween is just such a great holiday for puppy photos!  Beacon made a fun trip to a pumpkin patch where he saw a 500# pumpkin grown in Wisconsin.

Things happen!

We are very fortunate that in a major metropolitan area we have dozens of places to schedule puppy outings.  So much so, that we sometimes take years to cycle back to an old favorite.  Tonight we returned to the Lighthouse for the Blind and Low Vision, where Dianne gave us a comprehensive introduction to her role as an Orientation & Mobility Instructor.

The pups were excellent students.

Then we investigated some of the tools and devices designed to aid the visually impaired with daily living tasks.

A personal favorite.  These devices notify "the pourer" when the coffee has filled the cup by completing a circuit between two probes.

Skylar and Lori seem to be hitting it off.  They'll have some great adventures together over the next week.

Yummy, cool treats

Puppy outings are designed to have a great variety of venues and experiences for both the humans and the dogs.  Sorry, guys -- this one skewed toward the humans!  It won't be hot forever (promise?), but we found a way to cool down.
