Quick trip home

How great it was to go home! Even if it was just for 4 days. I loved it! All of my siblings were able to be there together, which was rare and great. I was so glad to be there for the funeral as well. I just kept thinking, "This is such a great funeral!" It was full of joy and good memories, and it was so nice to be around my cousins and remember the good ol' days growing up. I had the surprise opportunity of playing the cello during the extended family musical number. I was rather rusty, but just kept thinking 'I'm doing it to show my love for Grandpa' and it got me through :) Much better than singing, for sure. I would have just cried in that case.

Dad and Grandpa, I believe for the last earthly time.

The original siblings - David, Norman, Eldeen, Alan, Robert.

Me, my folks and Grandma Young, along with Davin.

You just gotta laugh. This is during the viewing! Typical jokester family.

The grandson pallbearers. Several couldn't make it -Tim, Bryce, Nathan, Dan, Dave. We missed the cousins who weren't there!

Davin took to his tear-catching job with great enthusiasm. He was so sweet and compassionate. He was a great travelling companion.
Davin putting some flowers on the casket. He really enjoyed playing on the step ... pretty scary.Sunday dinner with the whole fam. Looks like Heather ate the most ;) (just kidding, she's pregnant)
Davin and cutie-cousin Talia. We just love her.
