December 2014

December started out with Avalon attending a cheerleading competition in Blackfoot.  They did really well and each won a trophy.

We took the kids to see Santa at King's in Rigby.
We had a great Christmas this year.  Aaron's parents and his Great Aunt Ardie came to spend the holiday with us.  The kids had a wonderful Christmas Day and got lots of toys.  Then they spent the rest of the break playing with them and building snow forts with Grandpa Russell.  We hadn't had a lot of snow before Christmas, but Christmas Eve and for a few days after we were dumped on and had a very nice white Christmas. We are very blessed to have so much family and to get to spend time with them.

November 2014

November was a calmer month.  We went to school and worked, etc.  Avalon was busy preparing for a cheerleading competition.  They had a practice performance at a girls basketball game at Rigby High School.

Towards the end of the month, I was called to be the ward Primary President.  Which is why you haven't heard from us much.

We had Thanksgiving with my side of the family and went on our regular Black Friday shopping trip. November was beautiful here and we have much to be thankful for!

October

I love October, especially in Idaho.  During the first part of October, I took the kids to my Mom's for a photo shoot in their Oregon Ducks shirts.

Then we had our traditional leaf fight.  Moving from Arizona, my kids had not had a chance to play in the leaves before we moved.  They love to do it every year.

We went out for Mexican food for my birthday and everyone tried on the sombrero.

We ended up with a lot of pumpkins from our garden this year and so we got to carve home grown pumpkins.

In the Fall, I helped to teach a tinkering class at the elementary school.  One of the things we did was to build an electric motor.
We had a lot of fun with Halloween costumes this year.  Quin was Thomas the Train.

Truman got the homemade costume this year.  He was Boulder the Rescue bot.
 Sterling was an astronaut.
 Avalon was a peacock.
Aaron was a man with a head in a jar.

We could not find a good helmet for Sterling, so we made our own from paper mache.
