Sick

Today I'm sick and that means I will need to miss church which is a bummer. My mom (who is a nurse) told me if I had a fever last night, I shouldn't go to church today because I would still be contagious. So I decided not to go and get my Sunbeams sick (my new calling in church is to teach the Sunbeams-very fun!)

I am mad at myself cause I am sick because I didn't get very much sleep this week all because I was trying to get things done on my to-do list, and then I was around some sick kids. Bad combination. I thought I'd be so good by making a list of things that needed to be done each night, but my list started small and then I would remember more and more that needed to be done...and..there ya go, no sleep. This week I'm going to be focusing on getting sleep only.

So I guess I can't go to a Cardinals vs. Steelers Super Bowl party as well. I'm bummed. We are excited about this game cause Ty is from AZ. He can't believe they are actually going to be playing! He offered to stay home with me. He's so nice.

Some good news? My brother Steven and his wife Brooke had their first baby last month, Clara Domino. She is the first baby born in my family! Isn't she exceptionally beautiful? I think so. Can't wait to see her!

So, a while back my mom and I were able to go to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in New York City. We actually accidently went into the Ripley's Belive It Or Not! by mistake and when we weren't seeing famous people (only the world's tallest man), we quickly left. Luckily we were given our money back.

My mom and I have wanted to go to the wax museum for a while now. It was pretty fun. There was different rooms with waxed people and a waxed Simon in a karaoke room who said "You are not good enough!" when a girl didn't sing so well.

There was a 4-D movie of The Polar Express as well! It was really neat and if you get the discount they offer on the street, well worth the money. My mom has wanted me to put these pictures up for a while. We were having a blast with our dumb poses, so sorry. Here is just a small portion of the "celebrity wax people" we met:

(These wax figures were made to be the actual size of the person)

Mom with Princess Diana-she was really tall!

Miley Cyrus

Look! My one leg is as big as both of hers! haha

mom and the Beatles

This is Debbie Reynolds. She was Kathy Seldon in "Singing in the Rain". I played her part in my high school musical

In 1920, his first year with the Yankees, Babe Ruth hit 54 home runs and batted .376

Good old George and Abe

Rachel Ray

Jennifer Aniston's wax figure didn't look like her at all.

I used to love Oprah. During a dental school interview, I even told my interviewers that I would like to eat lunch with her-they rolled their eyes. Oops!

I guess we weren't supposed to take a picture of the Hulk, but we were told after I already snapped the picture. Oh well!

It was pretty fun taking goofy pictures with these guys! Thanks for letting me go with you mom!
