Two Turkey Bowls and dinner

Ty was able to play in two turkey bowls on Thursday! one with our old ward and one with our ward now. He was a little tired when he was done...

After his football games, we were able to go have some good turkey grub and other yummy things (like pirogies) in New Jersey with aunts and uncles

some cousins

and my cutie grandpa Domino who came to eat with us from a veterans' hospital.

Luckily we have some nice family members out here who will invite us to Thanksgiving dinner. We are really soooo grateful that we have such wonderful family all around the country. We miss everyone so much!

Fun with Rechele and Fun with my mom and Cheryl

One of my very best friends, Rechele, came to visit me last weekend and part of this week from Palo Alto, California. After much begging, she agreed to come and spend time with Alisha and me. Alisha is my really good friend out here. We met through Rechele (at BYU) and I convinced her to come out here for dental school. She's a 2nd year. Since Alisha lives in the the city and it's fun there, we hung out there almost every day and we were able to go to a few awesome restaurants, one of which is called Continental (I highly recommend going there if ever any one comes out to visit). They have a pretty cool website with fun music. You can check it out at www.continentalmidtown.com . We ate there with Jessica and Benny as well (they're also dental students). I wish Ty was there, but he didn't come because we went after school and it was too hard for him to get there. Rechele and I also went to the brand new upscale outlet mall by our condo. I'm still waiting for prices to go down so I can actually buy something there though. Ty and I are hoping the value of our condo will go up with those out here now. It was so fun to be with Rechele and Alisha! Thanks for coming Rechele! I have such good friends!

Also, my mom came out to visit the week before with one of her best friends Cheryl. We did the usual: Shady Maple, Longwood Gardens, New York City, Valley Forge and Philadelphia. We were able to eat at The Bubba Gump restaurant in NYC and go to the Broadway show "The Drowsy Chaperone" staring Bob Saget. It was a blast to be with such amazing women. Unfortunately, we have no pictures. My mom is so sweet to always come out and visit me. Thanks for coming out mom, you're the greatest!

Ron Paul Rally

On Saturday, November 10th, Ashley and I went with some of our friends down to the Ron Paul Rally in Philadelphia. The rally was on the lawn right by the Liberty Bell and in between Independence Hall and the Constitution Center. Not a bad place for a rally to support the only candidate in this election who still believes in the constitution, right? There were so many people there (reports are saying there were over 5,000). It was awesome. It was the first time either one of us had ever done anything like it and it was so cool. Although it was freezing cold, we had a great time listening to and cheering for Dr. Ron Paul, our choice to be the next President of the United States. Afterwards, we went around and got to shake his hand! He was really nice. Check out these pics. The one with the white paper-looking graves was a memorial that the Veteran's did in honor of every American that has died fighting in Iraq. For more on Ron Paul and why we like him, check out my blog or ronpaul2008.com.

Ashley's Pinewood Derby Car

A week ago, our ward had an activity that was a chili cookoff/pinewood derby car race for adults (not a boy scout one). When Ashley was little, all of her brothers were in boy scouts and were getting ready for the pinewood derby and she was jealous. Her stepdad Steve helped her make her own car and she would get to race it after the boy scouts were finished. Ashley has always held on to the car and so she decided a couple days before the race to enter it into the ward race. After not being used for all those years, it still did really well. She got third place. Unfortunately, the only races I got on video were of her losing. The only person she lost to was the first place champion. The entire ward was amazed that Ashley had time to make such a sweet car that was so fast. It was a fun night and the Chili was really good too. Check out the video of her car racing.

New Blog

Well, I decided that I wanted to start another blog for myself to put all of my thoughts out there. Don't worry, Ashley and I will keep this blog for our family events and pictures. My new blog is just me talking about things that I am thinking about. I just wanted to write my story down and I thought that a blog would be a good way to do it. I think that you will like it. It will let you understand what is going on in my head as I have been searching for truth in this crazy world. The first post is long, but it is just an explanation of where I am coming from. The other posts will not be so long, I promise. Also, the blog is not all the way developed, and will definitely be a work in progress. I hope you will check it out and leave some comments/thoughts/opinion/etc. The new blog's website is:
