February Favorites

The birthday girls (Lindsay, 6 and Ella, 11).

A perfect day at Point Reyes.

 Can anyone say, "Mini Bill"?

Father/daughter luau

The girls and I hit a father/daughter luau on Friday night, and we cut a mean rug, let me tell you. My two young ladies are growing up so fast!

And finally...more photos from the summer

Here it is already the middle of September, and as far as this blog is concerned, we've done nothing since July. Not quite true...and here's some evidence from the rest of July. August will still have to wait for another post.

We welcomed my Dad, Zack and Andrew for a visit. Here are the kids together at an A's game.

And Stomper paid a visit. Ella even got interviewed on the jumbotron and won the whole row free hats.

During "family fun week" the last week of July, one of the highlights was a trip to Tilden Park; the rest of these pictures are from that excursion:

And finally, a family train ride:

Tahoe Family Vacation: Part 1

Our first day in Tahoe we managed to get down to the beach just in time for it to start to hail.
Which did not diminish the girls' smiles...
In fact, they were thrilled!

Colin was happy watching the miniature golfing.

The girls would have been happy to gold every day.

A fabulous view on our way for a hike.

Unexpected (and welcomed) trek through the snow, even while it was 70 degrees out.

A good time to break-in the baby backpack!

Although he's still not doing it alone, Colin loves practicing his steps with his sisters.

The BIG Show Was a Success

We celebrated Father's Day this year with Lindsay's Big Show. We were not able to take pictures or videos during the actual performance, but we captured the entire family after the event.

Even Colin got dressed up and made it through the nearly 3 hour show!

A very proud mama!

One of my new favorite photos.

The supportive big sister.

Cutest kids? We think so!

Having His Cake & Eating It, Too

It took him a bit to warm up to the idea, but once he got a taste of the cupcake, he inhaled it in no time!

"Is there any more?"

See Mom Run

On June 5th I completed my first (and probably last) half marathon. The key word there is, "completed." Having family there to cheer me on and celebrate at the end made it all worthwhile.

My adorable cheering section, complete with home-made signs at both the half-way point and the finish line.

At this point I am feeling good while still riding on the post-race adrenaline.

Bless is heart; Bill ran with me (or I should say, encouraged me to keep running) the last 3 miles.

And...this is the glamorous side of running a half...
after the adrenaline wears off and the heat exhaustion kicks in.

And this is Colin, exhausted himself, after forgoing his nap to support mommy!

Our Little Tar Heel

Colin sporting his new North Carolina T-shirt, out to lunch with the family. He's also got a new trick: Super Baby (done with a cute head tilt).

Photos and video!
