Sweet Sydney

I tried and tried to get Sydney to smile this morning, I took about twenty pictures and this was the only one that she was even sort of smiling in.

Sydney is already learning how to be modest, look at her crossing her legs. What a sweet serious girl.

Sydney absolutely has to have her blanket to go to sleep. She holds it tight next to her face and rubs it back and forth or buries her face in it until she is asleep it is so cute. Some times when I go and check on her she has the blanket completely covering her face! I never thought that I would have a blankie baby but I do and it is adorable.

What a big girl!!

Sydney thinks that she is so big, all of the sudden she is holding her bottle like it is the easiest thing in the world. What a little stinker she is! She is also starting to show us a little bit of a temper. She will get so mad and scream, arch her back, and tears will stream down her face. Just as I am about ready to pull all of my hair out because I have no idea what it is she wants she will calm down because finally, on accident, I found out what she wanted. Sometimes she just wants to be but down in her crib to sleep instead of being rocked, or she wants her bottle instead of being nursed or she only wanted her blankie and binkie and know she is fine. You can defiantly tell who runs the roost around here. She sure keeps me on my toes.

Bathtime

Sydney loves to be wrapped up with her towel after her baths. She not only loves towels but blankets and washcloths and even her own clothes. She will grab the material and eat it or snuggle her face into it. If the material is really soft she will rub it back and forth across her face until she is asleep!

"Yum, this towel is so good... but I think that my feet are stuck!!!"

I am not sure how she got her feet through those bars, but it sure is cute!

My friend Janese reminded me that I did not let everyone know how Sydney latest checkup went, I am so sorry!! Her Doctor said that Sydney looked great!! Her tests all come out well too. I think she was a little surprised at how good Sydney looked, she said that you would never be able to tell just by looking at her how serious of a surgery Sydney went through. We will meet again with her in September and then we will go to Primary's in December to get some bigger testing done, like a sedated Echo cardiogram.

This little Piggy

Sydney is so happy all the time, She is so loud now too! All day long she yells and screams just to hear the sound of her voice, it is so funny!

There is nothing that is safe from Sydney's mouth, everything and anything goes strait in to get munched on! Poor little piggy!

I am trying to get Sydney to fall asleep by herself, so when nap time comes she is more then ready to fall asleep. It makes me so sad not to be able to rock her to sleep at every nap but in the long run this will be the best thing for her, we both cry when it comes nap times!!!

Sydney is doing so great!! She is like a different little girl, so happy and smiley! I love the see the way her personality grows as she gets older, but it makes me sad because my little girl is getting so big! She loves to smile at anyone that will stop and talk to her, what a happy baby!!

Sydney is finally able to put all her weight on her legs!! She gets so excited when she stands up that she smiles really big and her eyes just glow, because she knows that she has done something fantastic!

Oh how I love my big girl!!!!

Sydney and her cousin Sammy love to lay next to each other and hang out. We had so much fun watching them as they watched and interacted with each other.

Sydney's 1st baby ceral

Sydney did very good for her first time with rice cereal, we fed it to her right before bedtime and she slept all night long!!!!

Sydney weighs 12 and a half pounds this puts her in the 25th percentile for weight.

She is 24 inches tall, this puts her in the 75th percentile for height and as for her head circumference she is in the 5th percentile!

"Thats what I think about baby cereal, give me some chocolate!"

Sydney rolled over!!!

Sydney finally rolled over!! She did it 4 times in a row and then later that night 2 more times for her Daddy! We are so excited and happy that Sydney is catching up. Next week she will be four months it is so hard to believe that Sydney is getting so big already, all that she has gone through these past months, she is a real miracle! She has just came down with a cold, but seems to be tolerating it okay now, we had a rough couple of days, it seems like she is over the worst of it. I still am not sure what I did to make everything underlined but I hope Seth or I can figure out how to fix it. Sorry!!

Sydney Laughed!!!

Sydney laughed for the first time!!! I was kissing her face all over and she stared to squeal it was the cutest thing in the world, I have tried to get her to do it again but she wont, I will keep trying. She also has discovered her hands, she loves to hold them together like is is praying. She also loves to shove them in her mouth. Somethimes I think that she is trying to shove her whole fist in her mouth, I am waiting for the day that she does. She still has only rolled over once, I put her on her stomach several times a day but she really hates it and screams and hollers untill I roll her over. I don't know if being on her stomach puts pressure on her heart or not but we will keep trying to get her to roll over. P.S. I have no idea how to get this darn underline off!!! Sorry about that!!!!

Happy Easter!

Sorry we haven't posted for awhile Sydney has been sick with a fever since monday. She has been extra fussy and does not want anyone but her Mommy. She will tolerate someone else holding her for about 2 minutes and then she screams and screams until
I pick her up. It makes me feel good that she loves me so much but it is tiering not getting a break. She is also not taking very good naps during the day, because of that she has slept through the night 3 nights in a row, for eight hour intervals! We had a great Easter weekend but some where in the midst of it Sydney got sick. It is kind of frustrating that we still can't take Sydney out much because she still has such a low immune system, and gets sick so easily. We love our little girl but she sure keeps us on our toes!
