Christmas Picture Overload!

We had a great Christmas but I am just going to let the pictures speak for themselves!

Christmas Eve and the kids all got to open up a pair of jammies. They were all so excited for Christmas morning to come!
Sydney and Brocky showing off their jammies with Daddy!
5:00 a.m. Christmas morning(we wake up really early on Christmas morning and this was actually kind of sleeping in for us!) Sydney's first glimpse of Santa's surprises!
I love this picture! Sydney is looking at her very own Diego Rescue Center (complete with Diego, baby jaguar, animals to rescue, a zip line, helicopter and a Jeep)! Sydney loves Diego and this was the best gift. Ever. Thank You Santa!!

Brock loved standing up to his Leap Frog learning Table!

Sydney loves her Diego! She sleeps with him and plays with him ALL day long!

Awesome!
Brocky got a super cool Cat Monster Truck and Dump truck!
Sydney with her next favorite gift a big ol' tub of dinosaurs! Sydney is almost as obsessed with dinosaurs as she is with Diego! She surprised me with how many dinosaurs that she could name. She has been having a ball playing with these guys!
(she is such a tom boy!)
Brock loves balls and he got a bunch of fun ones from his Grandma and Grandpa.....
....but he was mostly happy just playing with all the ribbon that came off of the presents! What a silly boy!Mommy and Daddy having fun watching the kids playing with their new toys!

I love watching Sydney play with her dinosaurs! She was making me laugh as she played pretend with them. She would have the dinosaurs play with each other and kiss each other and she kept making the T-Rex eat the trees. It was so funny to hear her say "Here T-Rex eat some yummy trees. Yum! Yum! Yum!" I didn't have the heart to tell her that T- Rex's eat the other dinosaurs.

What kind of big sister would she be if she didn't make sure that all of Brock's toys where play worthy. It was almost like she got twice the Christmas because she also got to play with the toys that Brock got!

We had a wonderful Christmas full of family and fun. It was wonderful getting to celebrate the birth of our Savior this year and I know I learned many valuable lessons about the Savior and giving this Christmas!

  • He loves to feed himself
  • He would rather eat grown up food than baby food
  • He gets really mad if you eat something in front of him with out sharing it
  • He is a big flirt and stares at people until they look at him and then he blasts them with the biggest smile on the planet!
  • He takes pretty good naps in his crib but would rather nap with Mommy
  • Loves to drink juice out of his sippy cup
  • Can't sleep without his silky blue blanket (just like his sister) He grabs it and rubs his face all over in it, or he just rubs it between his hands until he falls to sleep.

Fun with Friends and two teeth

Sydney would shrivel up and die with out her friends. She has so much fun with them! She is always talking about them and even when they are not here she insists that I set a spot for them at the table. When they come in the morning she runs to the door and shouts "Bria's Home!" or "Savanah's Home!" They all love doing crafts and this was the latest one, reindeer head bands.
They started pretending they were reindeer and wanted red noses so they could be Rudolph. I told them that they could just pretend to have red noses. They were perfectly fine with that and continued playing.
Sydney crawling around pretending to be a reindeer.

Check out the chompers on this kid. But don't get to close because he bites. hard. (if you know what I mean!) Yeowch!!!
The number 7 for being 7 months old(almost 8). A few things about Brock at 7 months are:
He loves table food so much that he has stopped eating baby food
Loves to drink from his sippy cup
He rolls everywhere
He can scoot backwards on his back(talented I know right)
He is close to crawling
He has his two bottom teeth
He chews on everything(even me)
He loves his Mommy and cries if she walks away from him
Still is THE MOST ROTTEN SLEEPER IN THE WORLD!!!
Says Dada and BaBa and loves to blow raspberries
Laughs like crazy whenever he sees his sister( she however still wont give him the time of day)
Likes to watch baby signing time and watches my hands really close when ever I sign to him
loves his bink and his silky blue blanket
refuses to go to sleep without his silky blue blanket
loves reading books
and he has the most killer smile ever and beautiful twinkley blue eyes!

I just love this kid!

White Elephant Gifts

So tonight was my husbands annual work Christmas Party. We had so much fun. Dinner, white elephant gift exchange, and gingerbread house decorating. Seth's boss is amazing and makes gingerbread houses for each family to decorate, that is always my favorite part of the Christmas party.

So we had a white elephant gift exchange as well. Usually the gifts are pretty decent. Occasionally a few of them end up as gag gifts, but this was the first time that I actually received one of the gag gifts. Now there is usually not much that can make me, but when I opened up the the gift and saw what it was I felt my face get hot and I totally could not stop myself from blushing. The gift that I opened up was a book by the title of: Porn for new Moms

So embarrassing right?

Yes I must say I was curious, so I looked inside of the book. On every page there is a picture of hunky fathers with their cute babies and funny sayings that go along with the different pictures. A few of my favorites are:

  • Damn! You look hot in those sweatpants!
  • No, you relax for a while. I've figured out how to fold everything one-handed.
  • Look what I got for you. It's a combination sleep-aid, mood enhancer, breast-pain reliever, and headache preventative.
  • I told my boss I have to leave at 3:00 every afternoon so I can come home and give you a break.
  • Ooh, volcanic eruption with major blowout. That's so cute. I'll change her.
  • No, No! Sit down! I'll do the dishes. After nine and a half months of pregnancy, 26 hours of labor, and 18 stitches, you don't have to do a damn thing around here!
  • OK, you can hold him for a minute, but I want him right back.
  • Honey, you are so right. the baby always does spit up when I toss her in the air right after she eats! Now remind me, what were those other things you told me not to do?
  • Now, remember, it's my turn to do the midnight feeding, so don't get up!
And perhaps my favorite one:
  • If I promise to do all the laundry and diaper changing for the next few years, can we have another one?
This book is full of things that every women wishes that her man would say to her(and actually mean it). I have to admit that it is kind of a funny book, if you can get past the title of it. It is the perfect book to recycle for next years white elephant gift exchange don't you think.

According to Sydney

Our netflix just delivered Ice Age 3 and according to Sydney, Scrat and his new girlfriend are Mommy and Daddy. Every time she watches it she says " Look the Mommy and the Daddy!" Over and over she talks about how those two prehistoric squirrels are Mommy and Daddy. Truthfully I don't see it. Maybe its in the tummy, we both could stand to loose some weight. I really hope that it isn't the teeth that reminds her of us because we have both had braces! Also I hope that its not the fact that they fight all the time that she thinks is familiar. At least I get to be the awesome girl one that fly's!

We are on a Break!!

To all my faithful readers out there (you know who you are) I am taking a break from the blogging world for a little while. I am in a major funk and can't seem to shake it. I need to take a break from the Internet world and focus on me and my family. Hopefully it will only be for a few weeks but who knows. I am sure I wont be able to stay away for long, I can't go to long with out seeing how all my friends are doing. Don't worry I will figure my funk out, I usually do. In the mean time I hope that everyone has a wonderful Holiday season. May the force be with you, live long and prosper, peace out and all that jazz!

We are thankful for:

We made a Thankful Turkey this thanksgiving a few of the babysitting kids. The kids had a great time! Some of a few of the things that I thought were funny that they where thankful for was:
hair, tables, beds, cupcakes, floors, furniture, blankets, PBS kids(sydney), the ipod(sydney again), and all of them where thankful for dogs and cats.

It was so fun seeing the things that the kids where thankful for. They did a great job!

Sydney as the Thankful TurkeySydney kissing the turkey!
Kitura did an awesome job at writing down on all the things that she is thankful for! She is such a good happy little girl!!
The Kambria Turkey!

Sissey Kisses!

I seriously love these pictures! I was taking a few pictures of the kids and Brock leaned over, grabbed Sydney and started kissing her like crazy! I was so cute! The look on both of their faces makes me laugh! I love the look on Brocky's face in the last picture he looks so proud of himself for giving his sissy so many snogs!

If you cant tell Brock thinks Sydney is the best thing in the whole wide world!
Sydney is even starting to like Brock a little too!

I never get tired of this twinkley eyed smiley kid! He is at such a fun stage right now, where he will sit and play with his toys for long periods of time. I love it when I feel him watching me and I look at him only to get a huge smile just like this one. He smiles with his whole body. Sometimes his smiles are so big that they knock him over.
Sweet little boy!
Sweet little girl(most of the time!)

I don't know what I would do with out my little Sydney girl! We finally got her testing back and it looks like she doesn't have the autoimmune disorder with the abnormal t-cells. The doctor did say that there was a 10% chance that the tests were wrong but for now we are happy to take what we can get. Sydney is going stir crazy being cooped up in the house all the time but she has not been sick for about two weeks now, so I think that it is helping her immune system a lot to be inside.

Question?

Does my blog layout look strange to any of you? For some reason the middle portion looks really small. And the checked paper on the outsides looks really huge. It hasn't always been this way so I have no clue how to fix it. I don't know maybe it's just me. Please let me know if it looks strange to any of you too. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Matching PJ's

I was so excited when I saw these matching pj's at Target! I think they are adorable and I love seeing my kiddos in them!

Sydney's favorite past time in the whole world is playing on the computer and playing on her Daddy's Ipod touch. She calls it the P-pod and she is addicted. Seriously! We have had to take it away for days at a time because she is so addicted and asks for it constantly. It doesn't help matters that she can do more things on it then both Seth and I combined. We love finding all the different educational apps at the apple store. The only problem is that most of all the preschool- pre-k apps Sydney thinks are pretty easy so we are constantly looking for new stuff to put on the p-pod. This kid is so dang smart!

Brock loves to watch Sydney play the p-pod. Sydney will take his hand and have him touch certain letters, shapes and numbers. It is about the only time that she actually interacts with her brother.
I love my adorable little kids!
