Sydney loves Kisses and Tags!

Last night right before bed time Sydney started to give me slobbery kisses all over my face! She would get this intent look in her eyes, open her mouth and launch herself at my face, it was so funny! I was covered in slobber but I felt so loved! Seth got out the camera to try to get a picture, but Sydney has learned that when the camera is aimed in her direction she should smile at it. We tried and we tried to get her to give me more kisses but she just wanted to stare at the camera!
Sydney loves to spend time with her Daddy. I hope that soon we can get some good pictures of her two new teeth, they are so cute! I think that she has more coming in, she is sooooo grumpy and will not nurse. She is even having a hard time with drinking her bottle. She will try to drink from it but takes one drink, winces and pushes the bottle away! I am worried that she is going to get dehydrated, unless I get her to drink more. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do I would welcome them!
Sydney's newest fascination are the tags on her toys and her blankets. She can be super grumpy, but show her a tag and she will stop crying and play with it.
Here Sydney is playing with yet another tag! Sometimes I think that she likes the tags more then she likes the toys!

Caralee and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!

So yesterday was a bad day!!! It started out with me getting in a fight with my most wonderful husband (sometimes I really don't know why he puts up with me, I'm so sorry honey!) and as most of you know that is a bad start to any day. My poor baby is going through this terrible teething stage and is just miserable. She was so fussy yesterday that I couldn't do anything (I didn't even have time to brush my teeth! Gross). She would not let me put her down, yet she would arch her back and launch out of my arms when I held her, so I ended up walking all over the house with her just to keep her from screaming. Her little tooth hurt her so much that she refused to nurse all day yesterday, so I was forced to pump and give her bottles all day.

So at around one in the afternoon I left to meet my sister at the store, shopping can always make my day better! As I twisted my keys in the ignition a series of clicks greeted me, my car was dead! I tried and tried to get my car to start, I begged and pleaded with it, but it was no use. We just had to pay for a new A.C. we really didn't need to have our very dependable car break down too! I was starting to feel like in the cartoons where the poor sad creature that is down on his luck is followed everywhere by a dark rain cloud with the occasional burst of lightning that strikes!

Later that afternoon real rain started to fall, rain and wind and lighting. The wind pushed over one of our storage containers that we have on our back patio. The storage container busted apart (yes they where kind of cheap!) and I had to run out in the rain and rescue our Christmas tree and decorations from betting soaked and ruined from the water. At that point I felt like falling on the ground in the rain and sobbing! I got everything in the house, but what I didn't know was that while I was struggling to get all the boxes inside the rain was coming inside too. My couch and my rocking chair and my carpet that where next to the sliding glass door where soaked with rain water, and I felt and looked like a drowned rat (Wet T-shirt contest anyone?). I came inside and threw my soaked clothes in the washer only to find that we where out of laundry detergent (and no car to go and get some more!).

So thats when I decided that anything more I tried to do yesterday was jinxed and doomed to fail. So I changed my clothes into some warm P.J.'s and ate the rest of the package of my very favorite double stuff mint Qreo's (thank goodness we had some in the pantry or else I truly would have thrown myself on the floor and sobbed!). BTW Sydney's second tooth came in this morning and Seth was able to fix my car after working on it for a few hours! Yeah!

Rub-a-dub-dub one little girl in the tub!

We are finally back at home with a brand spanking new AC! We are loving life. It was fun getting to spend a lot of time with my family, but oh so great being home again, as they say there is no place like home!!
Sydney has discovered the joy of splashing in the tub. She gets so excited to kick her legs in the water and to play with her tub toys.
Sydney isn't the only one that enjoys tub time, Jinx will usually perch on the side of the tub during Sydney's bath. Our cat is a little O.C.D. when it comes to water, she will come running at the very sound of water and simply likes to just watch it (its kind of weird when you are in the shower and your cat is sitting there staring at you!). Usually she will get as close as she can to the water with out actually getting in the tub, until Sydney gets to splashy and then she goes running.
Sydney finally has her first tooth and the second one is on the way! She is so very cranky, and she is chewing on everything she can get her hands on!

I'm melting I'm melting!!!!!

So after the crazy electricity outage we had on monday our air conditioning has decided that it would stop working too, forever! So we are oh so hot and very miserable. Inside our house is soooo hot, and humid. It really gives me compassion for the poor pioneers that had no A.C. to keep them cool during these hot, hot summer days. Poor little Sydney had just had her six months shots and has had a fever for the last few days, on top of that she is still recovering from a cold and lets just say she is not very happy about all the changes. We have been sleeping at my parents house and staying cool during the day with anyone that will let us come over and hang out for awhile mostly LeAnn's house and my parents house. My nephew Tolman said that we could barrow his air conditioning so we would not be hot. We have to buy a whole new A.C. unit, which is not cheap. I hope that this can be fixed soon because I am going crazy not being able to be at home and Sydney is having a hard time to with the change in her schedule! I hope that every one is keeping cool and thankful for their Air Conditioning!

The 3 Princesses and a Little Red Dog

I went with three of the Sonju girls to a Down South party, there was face painting, cake, snow cones, and a clown. The kids loved the clown. He was a lot of fun but the coolest part was that his eleven year old daughter was a clown with him and helped him make all of the balloon creations. Halle and Andie and Sydney wanted princess crowns. Macey wanted a red dog.
Sydney loved her princess crown she even left it on long enough to take these pictures!

Sydney and Jinx

Sydney LOVES all animals!! She especially loves our cat Jinx! Jinx just has to walk into the room and Sydney stops whatever she is doing to watch the kitty. Sometimes she gets so excited that she will start to laugh and coo at Jinx, it is so cute. On Jinx's side the love is not returned, she wants nothing to do with Sydney besides the occasional head sniff.
Sometimes I marvel that our sweet girl is here and healthy and perfect. I think back to the many scary moments in her short little past, when she almost didn't make it and I am amazed that she is ours. Amazed that Heavenly Father trusted us with such a sweet innocent spirit and that she will be ours forever.
Sydney loves to put anything and everything in her mouth! When her mouth isn't full, she has perfected a shrill high pitched scream, earsplitting notes that no human voice should ever be able to make. Our neighbors have told us that they can hear her too! No wonder I always have a headache by the time that Seth comes home from work!!
"How can a mother say no to such a sweet little angelic face?"
Sydney is always moving! If it isn't her hands grabbing every single thing in her reach(nothing is safe anymore) then she is moving her feet! She kicks her feet all day long, no wonder she has such skinny legs,

Happy 4th of July

For the 4th of July we went to Grandpa and Grandma's house and had a big breakfast! Then Sydney got to play with her Aunts, Uncles and cousins, it was a fun day!
Sydney just got her first high chair yesterday! She loves to sit in it and play with her toys!
Sydney is such a smart girl, she always responds when you call her name and she loves to cheese for the camera!
"Dare me to shove the whole thing in my mouth?"

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!!!

Hurry home Daddy!!!!

Seth has left Sydney and I for a whole week to visit his parents in Georgia. We would have all gone but we didn't think that Sydney would be able to handle the trip. So it is just Sydney and her Mommy hanging out and having fun until her Daddy gets back. Sydney sure does miss her Daddy, she has been extra fussy sense he left and has not been sleeping well. So of course I have been up with her, this morning she was up at 5:00 a.m. after fussing sense 3:00 a.m. that morning. Needless to say we both really miss him and can't wait for him to come home. We love you Daddy!!
