Work + Holiday

Its been three weeks since I started work.

til now I am enjoying my work.

thou at times I feel that its really mundane 

keying in all the cost data from the past projects,

I guess its something you have to go through being a freshie. 

Colleagues and boss are all nice and fun to work with.

All are willing to guide and teach you.

I'm glad to have Shimin in the company too.

At least we can depend on each other for encouragement and sharing of woes.

The biggest reward as their graduate employee

is to be able to fly to Hongkong in Sept for my training cum induction.

cant wait cos I can shop and drop after the training Weeees ((:

may meet cousin their too.

Working has been tiring. 

I begin to understand darling's and parents 的辛苦

facing the com for 8hrs can be energy consuming heh.

and I suppose one must really exercise at least once a week 

to keep the tyres from developing. 

Before I started work,

darling being the nicest bf brought me to Genting for a short getaway.

All fully paid by him so nice ((:

It's nice to escape the warm and humid weather in Spore.

and for the first time I entered the casino.

Jackpot can be addictive!

We won initially and lost all. cos we were greedy hahahas!

but its fun.

and dun think its a simple game. 

if you are game to win, then u have to think what combinations work best

to increase your chances of winning.

and there are sooo many diff types of jackpot machines.

here's us in Genting.

We stayed at First World deluxe room. Got view and more spacious.

and we caught Transformer in Genting. The 3D tix is cheaper over there like 8bucks.

but I dunno if its the technology or what, the 3D effects seems 2D to me.

nevertheless, Transformer is nice!

My all time fav childhood ride! So colourful and pretty!

We had free buffet breakfast during our stay too. But quality nt good!

Daddy and Mummy day

celebrated Papi day at NEWYORK NEWYORK.

didn take pics cos it was nthg sort of special (food wise).

but it was still nice thou with all of us having meals tog.

Mummy day was at Mouth restaurant.

we had dim sum.

Good quality!

lucky thing I made reservations as it was really crowded.

The must have 流沙包.

its custard and salted egg yolk. damn nice!

you should try one day.

and next dim sum I'm gonna try will be Royal China at Raffles Hotel.

我爱台湾！

I so love taiwan!

High speed rail to Zuoying (Gaohsiung)

In taiwan, we spent our 2nd - 4th day at Kenting.

Kenting is really beautiful. 

Scenery is simply magnificient.

 Kenting is well known for its water sports and the marine biology.

we stayed at a minimi a mingsu.

the rooms are uber homey. 

but the owners are only nice and helpful if you ask for help

other than that they just smile when u meet them.

when at Kenting go for a half day tour.  

the pretty view is not to be missed.

 the clearest water I've ever seen. 

the corals must be really beautiful and how nice if I could snorkel in it.

but cant, cos the sand is really fine, precious and about to extinct.

so you cant go near this beach. only can take pics.

even the jellyfishes are so cute!

at Gaohsiung, the food and restaurants left me the deepest impression.

And the hostel I stayed in was the best lodging in Taiwan.

The owner - Nato was very 热情 and 有善.

and the cutest dog kiki! 

we always love our brekkie in Gaohsiung.

well prepared and served oh so pretty ((:

of course I had to order my fav green tea latte.

not as thick as spore's.

at 小小 cafe is was homey.

The lady boss spoke to us in english told us where we should visit at gaohsiung.

when we reach taipei it was pouring!

we had to take a cab from ximending station to our hotel.

but our hotel was only 7 mins walk from the station.

taipei is a shopping paradise at Shida and dongqu.

and more nightmarkets.

we went for day tour to yehliu and jiufen. 

well.. yehliu was flooded with PRC

couldn't really enjoy the scenery. 

and jiufen was packed with singaporeans and japanese. 

^.^ hehs.

at yehliu, they were celebrating Mazhor birthday so we were lucky 

to witness the event and saw the 三太子游行

and not forgetting the nostalgic jiufen. 

can't wait for my next trip to Taiwan!

Happy 3 years my darling.❤

In celebration for our 3 years on 1 march, 

we went to greenhouse cafe.

its really a nice place to chill or have tea.

its located at somerset 313.

special thing about that place is...

there's 3 swing seats in that florist cum restaurant.

each swing table can hold up to 6 people.

so its quite cool where u swing as u eat ((:

there's also a live band there but I'm not sure when is it.

anyways the food there is well prepared.

not too pricey too.

and the owner is really friendly.

The honey grilled chicken is really nice...

taste really sweet, tender and the skin is really crispy!

but I think the chicken was rather special...

The Lunar New Year

I hope everyone had a great 新年this year ((:

this year had been good for me.

and I had helped to resolve some issues 

before the new year which was a huge relieve.

wells here's my family on day one.

i'm such a newbie in taking photos..

Ramen search!!

As recommended by jasmine twin,

we went to search for this restaurant at Millenium Walk.

As we didn know where was it we walked round and round 

and finally found it. Whew"

The restaurant is - Nantsuttei Singapore

and their specialty: Ramen.

Since we two are jap food craze, how to 放过 any nice jap food..

so we went to try it. 

My critique, quite nice. can go try yourself. 

for their ramen, they added the sesame garlic oil.

so it slightly greasy but niceeee.

it kinda salty but I guess that's how authentic ramen taste like.

and they have the local jap setting where u can choose to sit right infront of the chef

and eat at the counter. 

but do note that its kinda pricey.

our valentine's day this year was simple ((:

we had dinner at 'Big Fish' seafood and grill restaurant.

they had valentine's day menu so choices were limited.

my lobster spagetti was so so..

darling's was nicer but as I didn bring my cam out,

no photos for this special occasion.

It's at Punggol. 

Thou' punggol is kinda undeveloped, but in years to come it's gonna be beautiful!

and transport wise it think more lines are coming up.

not long after my birthday its darling's birthday ((:

this year's celebration with me was more simple.

after we went Feng there to cut hair

(as my poor bf has to go for reservist the day right after his bdae)

we went chompchomp for dinner as per requested.

its been so so long since I last went there.

I totally miss the good food there.

bought a pair of pumps and a bag. 

plus many malaysia goodies!

dinner was at some hakka restaurant.

and on his actual birthday was with his family.

went Putien for dinner for the first time.

The menu not much stuff.

I think other chinese restaurants are much better.
