Happy Thursday + New House

it was really nice to meet Jo, Tahnee and Val again, after a year has passed. sadly, last thursday was the first time that we organized an outing of 4. why do Jo has to live so far away? ): we don't get to see her as much because her place is an hour away by train. she now has new friends and new home. but no matter where she is, we'll still be close at heart. as for the rest three of us, we still do often see each other. it is easy cause we live so close to one another. (:

ate sichuan at chinatown. i requested spicy food! so Val led us through a small dark gloomy alley. instantly my appetite disappeared. my mind was focused on the irony of putting a resto in that area. why would they place the resto so deep into such an alley. surely many potential heavy eaters passing by haven't realised that there's even anything good in there.

the food was all covered with dried red chilli. i really mean ALL. when they served us the spicy fish, Jo got all excited at how much chilli there were altogether. it's like they're serving us chilli, rather than fish. haha. all 4 of us were full by sharing two dishes of food. and yet, there's this couple sitting beside us who ordered four dishes! are they like food critics or haven't eaten for 3 days? lols. in the end, they had to take the leftover in plastic containers. i would say the food is great! worth the price. resto name is daichin sichuan, if i remembered correctly. (:

after that, Jo had to go to meet someone else. she's like so busy meeting up with old friends. since she's in the city, might as well right. make use of all that $6.30 train ticket. haha. the three of us walked around the city and camwhored! so fun! even though i still have got a major exam on monday that i haven't started studying yet, i felt really stress-free that time. i just want time to stop. man, i just love their company. Tahnee why do you have to leave so soon to China? why? oh and we took photo stickers too! *lovelovelove* it really feels like holiday has begun!!!

after the happy moment with my friends, i went for an inspection with brother Eric at College House. our agent Harley was already there waiting. oops. Val came along too. she said she wanted to see how small CH is. haha. there you go. the agent showed us two apartment rooms and let us decide which one we like more. i prefer the third floor one for its cleanliness, but i like the sixth floor one for its considerable "nice" view. in the end, we chose the third floor one because it's newer and more comfortable. there's black mold in the sixth floor room! super gross!!!

so last friday, Eric and i went to Unilodge Global Village on Lonsdale Street, near the Parliament House. we brought the documentation required for the CH application to be processed. i didn't like the attitude of the lady who was helping us. she's so rude. i think service is to attend to the need and interest of the customer. but no, she has to sigh and complain about how bad her day was and ignore our needs. urgh. she's a horrible horrible admin. ):

ate at indian resto for lunch. it's Eric's favourite! lol.

ytd after our last paper (yay!), Zel and i went to eat at Pancake Parlour. i finally get the chance to try it! haha. it's really really nice! like what my friends told me in the past (as shocking as it may seem, but that's my first time eating there after spending a year plus in Melbourne! haha. i can't believe it myself.). we tried their Fresh Strawberries and Crepe Escape. at Borders, we browsed through magazines. one of the pages in the magazine shocked me. it depicts a nude picture of a woman, and pointing to her body parts the different kinds of diseases that can occur in all females. brrr scary. and the more i read about it, the more i think i may have the symptoms of those diseases. have you ever felt like this before? ): then we picked a book and read at the sofas at Gloria Jeans Cafe (their cappuccino's disgusting.). met up with Wala for dinner at Korean resto at Elizabeth street. the hot pot was really really mouth watering!

today i collected the key to our new home from Harley (Eric has got school). yes! how exciting. i signed the condition report and then inspected the place for any damage already done to the place. then met Eric for dinner at Rice Bar. before we went back home, i brought Eric to our new home. then we shifted the furnitures and customized it as ours. (: exciting exciting!

didn't go out much today. woke up at noon. the joy of being free of late night junkies and energy drinks, huge stacks of lecture notes and LMS (school's internet-based learning website) indulges me completely. AWESOME AWESOME feeling! i did some laundry and intended to pack up some of my stuff for the move. but of course, i dragged the time and til now, nothing like that happened yet. not even the beginning stage of any packing. haha. i shall do it tomorrow.

oh and i watched 'How to lose friends and alienate people' on www.surfthechannel.com. at the end, i was given life's most important advice by Einstein.
"
Try not to become a man of success but rather to become a man of value."

confirmed plans for tomorrow:
1. ko robert is coming over in the morn to give me the apple struddel he brought back from perth. (: (really nice and thoughtful of him!)
2. lunch with FuiHan, Zoey, Azmina and her visiting friend.
3. move a luggage of clothes to College House.

okie. it's 1:44am now. am sleepy...
toodles,

nights.
p.s. can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring! (:

physics hearing + zel's surprise bday

woke up at 0930 this morning to find that eric was in the shower. so went down to cook in the kitchen. SOTO AYAM. hehe. then, ran back up to quickly shower (but not the hair as there wasn't any time for that left). turned out my hair needed washing but there's no time for that. i quickly gobbled down my indomie XP and went out to catch the tram. it was already 1015. 15 minutes more to go.

thankfully, the tram arrived at 1017. didn't validate. oops. but i am fortunate that there weren't any tram conductors on duty early in the morning. reached melb uni tram stop at 1025. 5 more minutes!

i quickly walked towards physics podium ground floor. i didn't know where i was supposed to be heading. but i continued to walk regardless the possible consequences. i looked left and right for a sign of the possible meeting area. there were 20 doors around me. how was i supposed to know which one i should be going. that's when i felt so scared. for blaming myself not to make sure of the venue. i told myself if i screwed this, i could just wave bye2 to my physics assignment. i was feeling a little desperate when something caught my eye. the reception desk! but if course! they could tell me where to go! so i asked and the lady behind the counter told me that she'd been expecting me and asked me to take a sit. after 3 minutes of fidgetting about on the sofa, prof michelle livett finally appeared and led me into a small, bright room with a large round table in the middle and lots of chairs around it. it's so different than what i'd expected. i thought it would be like a court room! haha. i guess i had been watching too much drama. =.=

the meeting went on pretty smoothly. prof michelle did most of the talking. my lecturer and another girl sat pretty quietly and obediently beside her. i had to retell the story to them and then after about 10 minutes of talking, it's over! phew! it felt so good to come out from that room with an ease of mind. (=

went to the bank next to make a deposit of that cheque from City West Water. also created a Debit Master Card account as suggested by this new Indo teller who assisted me with the cheque. i hope i did the right thing. oh well.

after that, i went back home to shower (my hair). then went online and asked everyone who wanted to chip in to buy zel's present. it was a real disappointment to know many friends were busy with stuff. in the end, only Elaine and JieMin agreed to come along.

i met them on tram 8 at 1520. i showed them the card that i was giving zel. elaine said she'd do it later cause the tram was moving. in no time, we reached melb ctrl. i suggested we buy zel a bikini. haha. so we all went to BNT. found so many creative things to buy, but not really practical. almost bought that pink monkey sleeping pants (which i think zel will love very much). but decided to look around first. next, we went to Borders. there were so many things there. finally picked a pinkish book. the price is reasonable. the book is interesting. it looks nice. so we decided to buy that instead. we wrote on the card on one of the seats around the cd area. i wrote first, then jiemin, lastly elaine. jiemin kept on saying that she has nothing to say. lols. how can you not have anything to say when someone's having a birthday. as for me, i always have got things to say. haha! next stop is sportsgirl. got tempted to buy stuffs for ourselves while looking around for something nice. then found the eyeshadow that suits zel the most, well not in the whole wide world, just sportsgirl. haha. was happy with what we had. lastly, we went to Michael's bakery to get her muffins as the birthday cake. we also got her a singing candle. (= three for us (with flowers on top) and one for anzela (with butterfly on top). yay! we were pleased with our buys at the end of the day.

when we arrived at arrow, i couldn't contact or buzz zel. (damn the faulty buzzer!) the three of us had to ask people which floor they're staying on. how embarrassing! none was going up to the sixth floor. then suddenly it occurred to me that aun (the student service guy) was on duty. so i asked whether he is from the sixth floor. turned out he was. that's how we got our help from. hehe. knocked on zel's door real hard, before she opened. and surprise surprise! (= unfortunately, we didn't know we had to turn the candle in order for it to sing. oh well. what's done is done.

zel was surprised, i think. or had she been expecting sth all along? haha. then we ate our cupcakes after tt. yummy. it really was delicious!!! took photos as well! yeepee! then stayed at her place and talked. we talked from that biomed girl to india to china to ??? so random. haha.

good news was that harley from unilodge called while i was in Borders to tell me that my application has been approved. he also suggested an apartment on the 6th floor. Hallelujah! God is good. He not only open doors for me, but gave me many opened doors! =D i am so thankful to Him that has provided me with anything i want. Thanks!

time to sleep now. yawn~ night everyone.

a fun Sunday with oikos!

woohooo! yesterday was awesome! it's a Sunday like never before!

i came to church 20 minutes late. was watching P.S. i love you on the net last night until i fell asleep halfway the movie. btw i haven't started my EDDA prep yet. =.='

a malaysian pastor came to preach. at first, we were all excited for her. then, in the middle, val and i got very sleepy. like what she said didn't make sense. but later towards the end, she got me excited again because it's healing time!

we shifted the seats towards the corners and got the middle area open for people who needs prayer. of course i was one of them. cause we were hungry for the Lord! almost all went to the front.

we were told to speak in tongues. more more more and more. i only spoke for barely 30 seconds and started to weep. i wept and wept. i didn't understand why. but i just wept. the Holy Spirit made me wept that day. but i don't blame it cause i am sure there's a reason as to why my spirit inside is weeping. so it's good opportunity for me that Sunday. then after she went around to touch us (for prayer of course), she asked people who need special healings to come forward. then i came forward, knowing one thing on my mind. i got a problem. i need help. so i walked up front and suddenly she said. 'lay your hands on the part that you need healing for.' then i realized that she meant physical healing, not emotional healing. i wanna retreat back but later decided to just stay and asked her to pray for my FEAR all this while. i think i am the first to specify a need regarding the emotions. then slowly after me people started coming up front to have emotional healing as well. a girl actually tapped me on my shoulder and asked whether she could have that too. i told her of course she can. but she didn't later because the lady asked about a person needing healing for a backache. well, crying definitely helps. i felt better that day, even til today. (=

after church at 2, all of us went to eat at Gara Rica. this indo restaurant at dorcas st. the food was really yummy. felt like i was back home at indo. (but the waiting time was terrible) many people came with us. there's anthony, ko any, ko robert, wil tegal, ko wil jauw, olive, tiff, sal, val, roselyn, steven, ilona, ko arwin, jinsern and lots more! i felt really blessed that day to be able to join them for lunch that day. i had loads of fun!

then, we went to ko andy's place for our church meeting. ko mario led the discussion for our picnic party. i chose the name for the picnic. it's called 'Summer Delight'! itsn't it cool? and we intended to wear the same color clothes on that day! we decided on looooaaaads of food and drinks like Sushi, sandwiches, pasta, biscuits and TEA2? it's this tea that ilona made for us during oikos. it tasted really fantastic. too good to be a tea! >.<>

after the meeting at 7, i followed Sally to her place to get her tennis racket. waited for her outside in the living room where Ruby and another Jap girl were studying in "darkness". there's barely any light! i volunteered to switch on the light for her and she said she preferred the dark environment. lol! so weird. anyway, then we chatted about her past birthday event and halloween. she got rejected by the guard at the bar! poorthing!

anyways then, we went back to Verve. as we walked back, Sally and i catch up on the happenings in our lives. i told her the time when i got caught by the police officer in singapore for bringing pirated dvds to singapore. and she made me re-tell the whole story to byron and jinsern when we met them later. oh well.

went down to the tennis court and steven and his friend were there. steven is sally's twin brother btw. tufan is his friend and he is Turkish, but studied in Indo for long time. so he could speak better indo than me! how embarrassing! the wind was really cold so ko wil jauw told me to get into the gym for some warmth. i carried some weights for some exercise. really realised i have not been going gym for 3 days already. )=

i chatted with ko robert while watching them play. i think he is really nice. nice friend that you can curhat to. i didn't play tennis cause i was wearing flats and my tennis skills were nothing compared to the pros they were that day. ended up taking pictures with ko andy, ko robert and ko wil jauw. ko andy also piggy-backed sally. haha. we dared him carry her around the court but in the end had to stop because ko wil jauw "korek2" him at his backside. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! so funny.

we went up at 9.30pm plus plus. when we got back to the apartment, i helped ilona to shape the meat into round balls to be fried. val was frying and wil tegal was panfrying the veges. i cooked the rice early at around 8pm! but it was not enough as there were so many people. but it's the not enough food that makes eating so seru!!! hahaha. everyone had to compete for food. (=

sally took photos for us too. i played daidi and bridge with byron, jinsern and ko wil jauw. byron and i kept winning! hahahaha. we had good cards always. (= then i played some guitar too. but forgotten the lyrics for bubbly song. )= while we played, sally, steven and tufan fell asleep on the floor and sofa. so sweet. like little babies.

at half past 11, we went to meet the extravaganza peeps downstairs of Arrow Hotel. janice bought a cake for filia. yep. it's filia jani's birthday!!! 20th! but many people think that she is only 16 because of her height and petite body-frame. lols. good to be young~ we took pictures with the extravaganza peeps later, with the help of a man at the reception. i think he is annoyed by us all when we were making so much noise but had to help because it's his job. saw the general store uncle at the reception too! what a surprise!!! (= he was collecting mail as well. haha.

i went back home at half past midnight ytd. i was out the whole day! was tired but more of happiness and gratefulness before i slept. all this wouldn't be possible without the Lord God Almighty that provides, shelters and loves me. Hallelujah!

oikos + overnight stay!

Tuhan...ya ampun...kenapa exam papers on friday susah bgt???

woke up at half past seven. called anzela and she's already up since six. prayed that He will guide me that day and took my shower.

many thoughts ran past my head. but i decided to keep calm and just leave my future onto His hands. straightened my hair as every morning and met zel downstairs. the weather was freezing cold with light rain coming in. i was planning to read my notes but the rainwater was trickling down, and smudged the ink. i decided that was not a good idea cause by forcing myself to continue reading it will just make me more nervous about the exams.

both our faces were in total: surrender deh =.='''

i had to admit the first paper was, like my ex-hsemate would say, horrible vegetable terrigible. it was bad to the power of bad. i had no idea what i am writing about. i had no idea what i should be thinking at that time. bener2 felt the consequences of not revising earlier while i was reading the questions. bakal fail!!! but, i also don't want to fail it! i refuse to study physics together with the first years next year! so malu2in!!!

sat beside the two most kiasu friends i had in uni. i shall not name them. anyway, after the exam ended, they were discussing their answers to the questions!!! oh my goodness! it's like three hours of physics not enough pain for them. i guess they will get HD for it. as for me, if i can get H2 i will be truly overjoyed!

after the paper, i had to go to the nearest restroom and anzela suggested at the Melbourne Museum. we walked and ended up studying for finance 1. that day was the first time reading it since 2 days before. i actually didn't memorised anything basically. since we didn't have time to read all the 10 lecture notes, i just read through the exam practice answers. ate a banana for lunch that i brought from home. how sad.

xin yue prayed for us before we entered the exam hall. she's amazing. so devoted to Him. i believed because of her prayer, i managed to do all the questions!!! hallelujah! i attempted all but i wasn't sure of one or two of the sub-questions. but hopefully i can get 80% and above for finance1. i have confidence for it. anzel said she coudn't do most of the questions. she said she preferred physics to finance. i'm like 'no comment'. haha. xin yue herself told me that she couldn't do most of the calculations. oh gosh.

so i was really happy at the end. i ate at one of the pasta house in Lygon with zel. we were so hungry that we ordered each one pasta and one small pizza for us to share. unfortunately, not even the pasta we could finish up. and we had to take everything away in boxes. the two caucassian elderly sitting beside was really friendly. i overheard her saying sth about anzela's pasta but couldn't actually made sense of what it was. so i looked at her and she said, 'A nice hello for you!' I was so shocked and surprised and happy at the same time. mixed feelings. then, a conversation suddenly sparked up about how the two of us couldn't finish our pasta and had to take it home to save money. the lady told us that we should learn our lesson by not ordering so much next time. she was really like a grandma. well, she looked like one. haha. anyways, i think the lady in front of her was an older grandma, too old to be excited in her speech (know what i'm saying?). they looked so calm and were enjoying themselves on Lygon street. i love how these caucassians, no matter how old they are, still were able to get themselves out of the house to have a good time. feels really young beside them and encourages me to be doing much more than what i have been doing right now.

at night, oikos was F.U.N!!! i have never had so much laughters and photos taken by nysia, our lovely photographer. it feels really, really great! we stayed at Il's house until 11 plus. and then the guys and girls parted our ways. cause it's sleepover night for us girls!!! =D *woots* we walked from City Point to Telstra Dome. saw lotsa (really mean it like 10,000) caucassians passing by the bridge. it was so unusual to see this going on on a Friday night like that. some of them were even carrying cushions as they walked. we soon found out from an asian man walking past that they watched Andre Rieu's concert before. it was really fantastic, he said.

tiff's place was HUGE to the power of infinity! two storeys, three bedrooms, three toilets and a large living area and kitchen! oh man!!! i instantly felt like home when i stepped into the house. hahahaha!

stayed up til 4am that night playing monopoly and watching nanny diaries and korean drama doremifasolasido. that is my second time by the way. zel told me to watch it before already. aww~ the cute guy is still cute!

the rest of the girls feel asleep almost instantly while valerie, ilona, melissa, roselyn and i continued to watch and played monopoly (only rose, mel and me). i was declared the winner because this mel actually owed me $2000 and i was holding $5000 cash! (= yay! i love monopoly.

in the morning, tiff made for us pancakes and all of us sat around the table to eat it, with maple syrup, meses seres and nutella. it felt like in the hotel right then. hahaha. with the morning view of the river and skywheel across the distance, on the 26th floor of the apartment, the view was spectacular! i can so just spend the day outside at the balcony!!!

at 11, we left the house and sally asked us to join her watch the guys play soccer in uni melbourne. the sunshine was piercing so i had to squint my eye to see where the ball was rolling at. bought drinks from union hse and followed val to archi bldg to see her archi stuff. at about 3, we left to go home.

immediately, i took a long, nice, hot bath. my hair looked so oily throughout the whole day because i didn't shower that morning or the night before after oikos. so disgusting right? but now no more, of course. haha.

i can't wait for my last paper to end! i can't wait for my true freedom to come!!!

peace out and have a blessed evening.

pusing. stress. deg2an...

sweating for no reason. abnormal heartbeat. sudden headache. backache. hungry all the time.

these are the symptoms of preparing last minute for 2 papers tml- finance and physics! YIKES! nasty side effects. i think i may not be sleeping tonight. seriously. poor me. feel like going back singapore as soon as possible!!! mummyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

i called her ytd. found out that erica my cutest sister in the whole wide world is transferring out of her schl next year. anderson primary school called my mum to say that they have got space for Erica. so good. God is so good. now Erica can walk to school with kakak and me, lyn, eric and naldo can all visit her during recess in the future! so exciting! then she don't have to be so lonely anymore. she also told me that her good friend is leaving for Myanmar for good. poor thing.

erica can walk to school so it's a good thing. she can reduce her weight by walking every morning. but lyn has to do this: ask erica to buy for her chicken rice from canteen. so bad. hopefully erica won't be tempted when she's buying the food. stay strong ika!

reflection everyday!

had my first paper today. GENES and ENVIRONMENT. was pretty confident in the morning that i can achieve an HD for it. guess i was too ambitious. the paper was c.r.a.p. i couldn't figure out about 20% of the MCQs and essay questions. bye bye to HD~ however, i am still hanging on to that thin, dangling thread that it is POSSIBLE!
went with metta to 'esteler' to buy our lunch. metta ordered her usual picel. hehe. she told me she will always get their picel whenever she went to buy something to eat there. she let me try that 'Pilcapo' drink- strawberry & milk soda! it was awesome!!! i've never tried that before. ever. i ordered es alpukat and nasi goreng seafood. i was craving for it while i was doing the paper!!! bio just had to stress me up and make me hungry. then i went back home. i looked at the food and thought, 'ok. i am just going to eat half of it and keep the rest for tonight.' to my amazement, i finished the whole thing, right to the very last grain, plus the jus alpukat! i felt like i am back home at padang! great feeling!
today i had planned to start my finance revision right after lunch. but something just had to occupy my time. i turned on the computer. went online. browsed the internet. landed on fb. cleared mailbox. my tenant told me i had to move before 13th dec. went mysoju.com to watch some k-drama. ended up watching 2 movies. in no time, it was 7 alr. get eric to go to the gym with me. ran for 10 minutes. cycled for 10 minutes. carry weights. sit-ups. there was no one, except us. empty. quiet. gloomy.
came back to our apartment. had to relieve myself in the toilet as i had a stomachache while running. (oops shouldn't have write that down but anyways.)
so time passed in a whizzzz...and now it's 9.30pm. woowww! what have i just done???
well i am gonna blog everyday from now onwards. even little things in my life i will blog too cause i think this is good. even if there is nothing important or any lesson learnt, really, i will take 15 minutes of my everyday for self-reflection. this is important. everyone should do it. it is a healthy everyday habit.
