More Teacher Appreciation goodies

This Wednesday the PTA is treating the teachers to lattes and goodies. I wanted to make something special for them. They do so much for our kids and I love to let them know how much they are appreciated. I asked my mom to bake the cookies for me while I got the packaging all ready.
And here they are all wrapped up:)

The apple is a Spellbinders die.
I used 3 Papertrey Ink stamp sets: Big & Bold Wishes, Just the Ticket and Vintage Labels.
Can't wait to get these to the teachers!

Shabby Shutters

Welcome to week #103 in The Shabby Tea Room!
This week Fran is out host and she has picked this beautiful photo for our inspiration.

Fran asks that we create a card or project using navy/blues & neutrels and a distressed element.

The image I used is called Going for a Ride from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps. The distressed item is the background paper. I did a technique that Betsy Veldman showed on her blog last week and I really wanted to try it. The Kraft paper was painted with blue and cream acrylic paint, then embossed. After embossing I removed part of the paint with colorless blending solution. It definitely gives a 'shabby shutters' kind of feel to the paper.

Little Darlings rubber stamps is our sponsor this week! The winner this week will win one complete stamp set.

Check out the other Shabby Girls to see what they have waiting for you.

Congratulations

Here is a card that is published in the current issue of Paper Crafts Magazine.

As soon as I saw the call I wanted to make something for the Cameos & Silhouettes feature. I've always loved silhouettes and I always will:) This image and sentiment is from the Wedded Bliss set from Flourishes.

High Tea

It's time for another Shabby challenge in the Tea Room friends. I am your host this week and chose this photo for our inspiration this week.

Please create a card or project using the colors in this photo and some sort of doily.

For my card I used Aqua Mist CS (PTI) and the lace background stamp from Flourishes for the panel. I embossed the background with gold embossing powder. The doily is a MS white doily that I colored with Versamagic Aquatic Sea ink. The sentiment is from our sponsor this week, Stamp Fairy. It's from the Love 1 grouping of sentiments. A few pink roses finish it off.

This week's winner will win a $10.00 gift certificate to the Stamp Fairy store.

Hop on over the the Shabby Girls' blogs for more great projects.

Hi Ho Cherry O

That's our theme this week in The Shabby Tea Room. Sheri is our host and she asks that we  create a card or project featuring cherries for National Cherry Month.

Here is the fun inspiration photo Sheri has for us:

I used the Hey Cupcake template from My Time Made Easy for my project.

This box holds two cupcakes, or any other little gifty items that will fit within the small cut outs.

I placed a couple treat cups in the package and filled them with Hershey's Hugs. The sentiment on the lid is from the Sweet Sentiments digi set, also from My Time Made Easy. The patterned paper on the top of the box is a digital paper called Farmhouse Fresh. It comes in three color combinations.

Our sponsor this week is My Time Made Easy and the lucky winner is going to get the Hey Cupcake template, the digi papers and one digi stamp set! I think this would make such a cute gift for a 'couple' bridal shower - a pair of his and her cupcakes. And the box could be made in  the couple's wedding colors.

Be sure and stop in to see what the other Shabby girls have created for this week's challenge:

I can't wait to see everyone's cherry=themed projects. Have a great week!

Superbowl Sunday Make & Takes

I decided to have a Valentine project for the girls to do during the Superbowl game. It seemed like the logical thing to do because the TV room is adjacent to the most important room in the house, the craft room. Ha.

This idea is not my own. I found it while browsing through my Reader blogs. I landed on Julie Koerber's blog, Out to Impress, and found this amazing project. I was impressed! I saved it knowing that I had to try it some day.

I used some Cosmo Cricket paper so the outside would be different than the inside. I cut the roses from an image in the Crafty Secrets Creating with Vintage Illustrations CD #2. I trimmed them and added prisma glitter. The XO is from Papertrey Ink's Heart Prints set.

Before we starated working on these I had the parts laid out on the table. I left the room for a minute and when I came back everyone was eating their little chocolate! Luckily I had more in stock!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Candy Hearts

This week brings another fun Valentine challenge and this one involves sweets! Melissa is our host this week and she asks  that we create a card or project with a food theme (chocolate, candy, fruit, etc) and a heart(s).

Here is the fun inspiration photo for this week:

And here's what I put together using a few ideas from this photo:

I decided to make a lollipop with the sweet image "i heart you" from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps. I printed it out on some Crate paper and cut it out. I colored the edges with a copic marker. I then layered that on some cardstock to give it a little more weight before adhering the stick. I tea-died the pretty heart lace trim.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps is our sponsor this week and the lucky winner will receive 5 images.

So let's see what you can do with this "sweet" inspiration!
