Bead Soup Blog Party Hoarders Edition Reveal

I want to thank my partner, Joyce Becker, for all of the lovely, lovely beads she sent me!! The cat-like lampwork beads, the purple lampwork lentils with the purple and Swarovski crystals and metal components and the turquoise and silver focal with the turquoise Swarovski  and sterling silver beads.

I started with the Purple lentils and added a small hoarded Humblebead disk for my first necklace.

I made a pair of earrings to go with the necklace. I love the colors of the lentils and the beads Joyce sent with them are perfect!

I went to work with the silver and turquoise beads and made this next necklace.

Joyce sent me so many beads - I enjoyed working with them. I'm still working with the cat-like lampowork beads - I want to highlight all of the beautiful colors in them and will try to get a picture of what I made up soon.

Thank you Lori Anderson of Pretty Things for getting this blog hop together!!

Here's a list of all of the participants. I'm looking forward to going to all of the blogs and Pinterest boards to see all of the beautiful designs!!

Creative Spark Magazine ~ Summer 2015

I've been given another amazing opportunity to work with ZnetShows, this time, for the Summer 2015 Creative Spark Magazine ~ my pieces are in the sea-inspired section. You can find these sea glass beads at ZnetShows.com.

I wanted the earrings to be very bright and summery, so  used the tangerine cultured sea glass donut pendant (P02-B83XS), yellow cultured sea glass round beads (S03-57-ONE) and Swarovski crystal bicones that I had in my stash.

For my first necklace, I used the same yellow cultured sea glass round beads as above, a teal cultured sea glass fancy shard pendant (P18-B82), with light blue and green beads that I had in my stash. I wire wrapped the yellow beads to my chain and used the light blue and green beads to make the rest of the chain for the necklace.

I wanted to make a statement necklace, so I used opaque royal blue cultured sea glass teardrop (S34-B159), opaque white cultured sea glass round (S06-B42FIVE) and crystal AB faceted Chinese crystal round beads (RS198-01AB) ~ voilà.

It's always such an honor to be chosen to work with all of the wonderful design team members, Hope Bill and ZnetShows. Check out all of the beautiful work in the Summer 2015 Creative Spark!

Creative Spark Magazine ~ Winter 2015

I always love working with ZnetShows and the team of designers - this was no exception! The Winter 2105 edition of Creative Sparks' theme is 'icy' - I received an array of beautiful blue sea glass beads to work with!

The first pair of earrings I used vintage glass pieces from a chandelier and a pearl drop with the cultured sea glass sand dollar pendant (33-Royal blue – P49-B33S).

For the second pair, I wanted a simple ombre look.Cultured sea glass button beads (33-Royal Blue - S51 B33), cultured sea glass pebble beads (99-transparent turquoise blue), a crystal sea glass nugget.

I wanted to use one of the large cultured sea glass starfish beads (33-Royal Blue - S27-B30SXT) as the focal of a bracelet. I then added the cultured sea glass barrel nugget beads (28-Turquoise Bay, S79-B28S), pearl, a fish charm, faceted silver spacer beads and toggle.

I  made a simple necklace using the same large royal blue starfish and added smaller pearls and crystals from my stash, that's not in the magazine

I want to thank Hope and the Znet Team for this wonderful opportunity! Now sit back and enjoy all of the lovely deigns in Creative Spark from the Znet Design Team members!

Gemstone & Metal Blog Hop

Today's the day for the Pine Ridge Treasures Gemstone & Metal Blog Hop! All participants were send a kit containing a semi-precious gemstone in different shapes and sizes and a variety of plated metal.

My kit contained Green Line Jasper and brass

I was having a hard time deciding what to make - tried a few designs ...... nothing that I liked. So I woke up this morning and started working again - this is what I came up with ......

I used a green line jasper coin bead, a couple of brass barrels and the toggle from my kit, then added some small beads and crystals from my stash.
