Yo Readers!

More than 6 months gone huh? About 5 months of it was studies and the rest was just me being lazy to blog. It's already 2015 and I just turned 18 about 2 months ago. During the holidays, I did meet up with some friends...a little cause half of the time my kitchen was under renovation and I can't go out often. Let's see...on 17th Dec, I met with JunYi & Dhi for a movie. Then, on 30th I had lunch with michin yeoja  and on 3rd Jan with 3 ex-classmates for another movie. I love movies.

Outing with Parents

Last Saturday, I was finally able to go out shopping instead of sitting at home doing my normal routines. I suggested to my dad the night before that we go to Midvalley the next day and he agreed. We left at about noon the next day just to get stuck in the traffic, so we went to Cheras Sentral for the 1st time to check it out.

Selca in the car~ *peace*

My dad parked the car outside the shopping centre and we entered. It was very cold and there were not many shops, as well as people. We walked around the place to see what shops were there and my mum got herself 2 cardigans from Cotton On. Before we even finished checking out the shops, it was lunch time and we headed to Wong Kok Restaurant to eat. It had a relaxing ambience and was quite comfortable.  I personally liked the design of their menu.

The front cover and 1st page of the menu.

I ordered baked rice with cheese sauce - chicken chop as it had the chef's recommendation. It's kind of salty but tolerable.

This is Cheese baked rice with beef and mushroom sauce ordered by my mum.The difference between mine and hers is that mine has some pandan leaves to make it aromatic. My mum felt that it was too salty though.

My dad ordered beef fried rice which tasted the best among the 3 dishes, not too salty and the beef was quite tender.

Mum and happy dad while waiting for our lunch.

Mum & I :)

After lunch, we went to F.O.S to see some clothes. Some of the clothes were affordable so I got 2 pairs of long pants and 2 tops while my mum chose a pair of long pants. It all summed up to RM155+.

The pink top I bought.

The beige 1 is low waist and the pink 1 is high waist.

After shopping for clothes, we went into  Jaya Grocer and my mum bought a few vegetables. Most of the stuff there are expensive as they had imported goods. It was something like Cold Storage. When we were leaving, I saw the Melona ice-cream and it was only about RM2.50 which is so much cheaper compared to the RM4 one I once bought in Won Korean Restaurant in Mahkota Cheras. My mum & I took one each.

Yum yum :9

I thought we would be going home after that but my parents decided to go to Midvalley too. It was 4+pm so the traffic jam had cleared. I was actually planning to get a pair of wedges since ages ago so I went to Vincci to look for a suitable 1 but sadly, I couldn't find 1 I liked and it was quite pricey. We walked around window shopping for quite sometime. That was when we entered this bakery (I forgot the name) which was under the Japanese "Komugi" bakery and saw macaroons. It's not like I've never seen 1 but I never ate 1. My mum also wanted to try that famous dessert so we bought 2 at RM4 each just for a taste. I chose the vanilla and green tea flavour.

It looks so nice I wish I could try all but it was too expensive.

I used to think that the inside was cream but I found out it wasn't.
It was quite sweet but I love sweet food. The vanilla was softer compared to green tea.

Dinner time came along and we dined at Canton-i at The Gardens which i s famous for it's roasted duck,I think. I was planning to order duck rice but my parent's decided to just order half a duck and maybe a bowl of rice separately. I was fine with it but as I was scanning the menu, I came across "Our Signature Wonton Noodles w/ Jumbo Prawn Wontons in Soup". Its name quite long but it attracted my attention so I decided to try it. My mum was actually shocked when I said I wanted that as I was a "rice pot", meaning I loved rice. I normally like to choose rice-based dishes for my meals but I guess felt like trying something different that day. My mum went for porridge as she wasn't very hungry and my dad ordered rice and some tofu to eat with the duck.

My noodles. They were very generous with the wontons as there were 4 of it.
I think it tasted ok but I'd still prefer rice.

Roasted duck.
Expensive but nicely roasted. The skin was crisp and I loved it.

Deep fried pork intestines with fish congee

After the scrumptious meal, we visited The Robinsons and my mum shopped for a bag to replace her current 1 which was almost spoiled. We walked around seeing bags and found a Japanese brand bag which was on sale (50% discount). My mum liked it and so do I, so we got it. My dad paid for it which was a rare thing >.< Before heading back, my dad a backpack which he thought would suit me and asked if I wanted it. It was RM150 after discount and I felt it too costly but my parents kind of insisted that I take it. There were 2 colours - pink and blue and both looked nice. It took me some time to make a choice and I ended up taking blue as I felt that pink was too girly for me. I don't regret my decision and am very happy as well as thankful to my dad for buying me the bag. I love you, papa!! <3 p="">

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'll continue about Father's Day here as there is nothing much to write. I bought my dad dinner at Pappa Rich in M.C. to celebrate Father's Day. I actually felt a little bad for making him spend so much the day before, sorry! The funny thing was that my dad forgot to bring his wallet out when we had dinner which was such a coincidence as I was going to pay for the meal. My mum joked that he left it at home on purpose XD
My dad has always been treating me like a princess and I love him a lot. I am extremely grateful for having such a great father and  I hope to be able to repay him for everything he has done for me. Thank you, papa!! ^^ Happy Belated Father's Day again! Stay healthy and happy always~

Holiday Update

It's my 3rd and final week of school holidays before I have to bury my face in books till mid November. Btw, I think I haven't written about my matrics and uni admission results. For the university, I got a course I didn't want so it's bye bye university for now. The 2nd batch matriculation results just came out on 6th and obviously, I didn't get it. *sighs* Well, I didn't really expect to get it anyway. Look how great my luck is.

There's no time for me to feel down or disappointed cause I need to move on from SPM and prepare for STPM now. FYI, I'm quite a perfectionist so, of course, I am aiming for 4As ;) That's why I'm making full use of my 3-week-holiday to enjoy. No more slacking once school starts next week.

How I enjoy my holiday without going out:
- Play games online and offline
- Watch dramas, movies & animes
- Read storybooks

Ummm...oh, sadly, I think that's all I've been doing *facepalm* I know that's boring but somehow I managed to keep myself entertained until now, so I guess that's fine by me. Ok, I did go out a few times for meals as my father is back for a week. I also visited my grandmother last weekend. In conclusion, it's still boring. This is how I live, sad case T.T

I think that's all I have to write in this post, bye! Peace~

Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day in another 2+ hours. With my father working in KK and my siblings busy with their studies, it will be only my mum and I at home this Mother's Day. For this Mother's Day, my sister suggested that we buy her bird's nest. I agreed to share with her for the gift worth RM100. My sister came home yesterday to pass her the present but she had to leave almost immediately as she had loads to do.

The expensive bird's nest.

My mum didn't cook dinner today, so I offered to buy her dinner in conjunction with Mother's Day. We decided to go to Secret Recipe in Mahkota Cheras. We ordered a dinner set which consists of a bowl of salad/soup, Aussie beef steak, a slice of brownie-of-the-day and a drink. Other than that, we added a fish and chips to the meal.

We ordered Iced Lemon Tea for the drink.

Stewed Aussie beef steak

Fish and chips

Brownie Walnut

My happy mum after the meal ^^

You might have noticed I did not include a pic of the soup. That's because I forgot but it's just mushroom soup. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and my mum was gratified. Happy Mother's Day to my dearest mum! You're the best mother I can have, love you.  :)

School Begins...

Wait, WHAT?! School? Yes, please attend school from tomorrow onward. My heart skipped a beat when I heard the news. Ok, I'm so not ready.

Back to this morning, I went to school today to register for Form 6. I still haven't find out my university admission results, so I'm just registering for this just in case. After handing in the papers for registration and paying a registration fee of RM15, there was a short speech given by the teacher about Form 6 (now known as Pre-U). By the way, I met 3 of my ex-classmates today who will be attending Pre-U too. Then, they gave us a timetable for the whole month of May and I found out I had to start school tomorrow *bangs head* Even worse, I have to attend school in full uniform /.\ Initially, I thought school would start in June and so, this was a total shock for me. I haven't prepared anything, including my brain.

Back to the story. After the speech, my dad brought me to buy 2 sets of uniform, a pair of shoes and a school bag which costed up to RM150+ in total. The price! XoX And when I went home, my mum said I should've went to another shop which sells the uniform at a cheaper price. Now I feel so bad T.T Anyway, I'm all set with my school stuff for tomorrow. Actually, lessons won't be starting until June but this whole month of school is to prep us for Pre-U.

The 1st week will be orientation and registration for the classes we want (Science/Arts class) and also, registration for co-curricular activities (clubs, sports etc.). I can't believe I have to go for co-curricular activities all over again, urgh! For the 2nd week, it's written in the timetable that teachers will be giving talks about the subjects in our respective classes while the last week is just some lame activities, which I think is just to fill up the free time before lessons start in June.

So now, it's back to the everyday school routine, waking up at 6am *faints* and coming home at 1pm. At least, I don't have to bury my head in books yet. Just not yet. I was actually planning to watch The Amazing Spider Man 2 with my mum this Wednesday but now, "Bye bye, Spider Man~" T.T

By the way, this is my new school bag :D Nice right?

I really need to get admitted to university so that I don't have to go through this tiring routine until next year. Please, Dear Lord, save me~ Ok, I have to sleep early tonight to survive tomorrow...THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Bye!

Rice Burger

I went to Sushi King (AEON Mahkota Cheras branch) with my parents yesterday for a late lunch at about 3p.m. and I spotted this new menu which is available for a limited time only (1st May - 30th June). It's the rice burger. So, I decided to try out their new food item. It's just like a normal burger but they used rice instead of bread and I find this idea very interesting.

I ordered the Yakiniku (beef) RB.
It also comes in a set (RB+miso soup+pumpkin tempura) but I didn't order the set.

So nice it's RICE! The menu for the limited time RB.

My overall review: The wrapper they used was made of a plastic-polystrene kind of material which is not eco-friendly, so I hope they would use something else. Now, about the Yakiniku RB, it's actually like the Yakiniku Don (beef rice), just more attractive-looking and I think easier to eat (?) since it's a burger. The rice was a bit too soft for the one I ate but other than that, it's quite tasty. Another good thing about it, it's quite filling because it's rice. I ate about 5 or 6 sushi and this RB and I was full. (Of course, it might vary for different people.) It can be a bit costly but all in all, I'm satisfied with my RB. I greatly recommend it for light eaters ;)

PS: The above review is purely based on my taste. "One man's meat is another man's poison". I can't guarantee that you will like it too.
