Easter Sunday! and the photo shoot
Sunday was a lovely day. After church, I came home and proceeded to make mom's rolls as my contribution towards Easter dinner. At 5:00 o-clock Vanessa and Rodney, Nash and Russ, Nora, Michelle and I got together for dinner. We had pork tenderloin, potatoes and "green stuff" provided by Vanessa and Rodney, an apple cake dessert provided by Nora, green beans provided by Michelle and the rolls provided by me. Thankfully, the rolls turned out great and everything else was extremely tasty.
Vanessa had requested of all of us to take pictures of us. She is aspiring to do photography on the side... mostly weddings, engagements, bridals, etc. So, I experienced my very first photo shoot. Nora, Michelle and I took the first half in our "Easter dresses" and the second half in casual. Nash and Russ were captured together in couple shots. After a great deal of convincing, Vanessa allowed us to see the pictures and all in all, they turned out great. I am sure they will be wonderful after she has done her "touch-ups". When I get my hands on any of the shots, I will post a few of them.

Lovely Spring
After 4 rough months of winter, Provo is starting to feel a reprieve from the freezing temperatures. I do love the snow, but after months of wet, dreary days the warmth of Spring approaching is a welcome sight. I suppose that is why Easter is one of my favorite holidays... it is a new start. You see evidence of it all around you as the trees and flowers begin to bloom. You hear it in the song of the birds. You feel it in the warmth from the sun. Suddenly there is life all around you again and you can't help but smile.
A new adventure
I suppose I should make one thing clear... I am a terrible correspondant. I really do not know how well this blog thing will go, but I will give it a try. You could say that I was "forced" into this. My wonderful friend Vanessa chose to share the love she has for blogger. So... here we go.
