Gigi at the Park
This is a cute picture Chelsea sent me of Gigi at the park. She loves to be outside. Chelsea is training for a marathon and runs with Gigi in the stroller everyday. Gigi loves it. Everyday when she gets up she says "buckle"..which means I want to go in the stroller outside. Love it.

Weekend in DC
Greg and I had a get-a-way to DC this weekend as a belated Anniversary Trip and Belated Birthday Brunch with Clayton. We went to the temple, shopped, went to the movies, and ate yummy food! Greg bought me a belated birthday present too...
a beautiful navy with white stars scarf for a girl born on the 4th of July.
We got to see Clayton's new house....very nice. We took him
to a fancy brunch at a place called Liberty Tavern. It is a place
Clayton has been wanting to try. It was delicious. They had shrimp, smoked slamon, steak, ham, applewood bacon, eggs, quche frut, poatoes, salads, parfaits, pastries, and hundreds of other thiings. It will be nice to know where it is now.
The traffic is always a challenge on 95 but it was worth the drive.

Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a in July 2012
We have been going to cow appreciation day for free meals for several years now....at least Greg and I, The Woods, and now the Adamsons. This year was no different. We all dressed and enjoyed some yummy food. Here are the Wood's pictured. Baby Carter was really cute this year too....but not in the pictures here. Greg and I were not too exciting ( got our costumes off of the Chick-fil-a website print out)...but we passed the test. It is a fun tradition. The Wood's even got the missionaries in Raleigh involved this year. What an easy way to feed them :) Chelsea says Gigi kept taking hr costume off :)

Tour de Root Beer
This is a fun idea. Denton collected all kinds of differnt bottles of root beers from several stores and put in a crate for Father's Day. Greg will have fun trying them and will maybe even share with me.

The Romans' Come Home
We had a great past few days. Denton had to come to Richmond on business and Jordan to DC on business...so everybody worked it out to come visit " the folks" Clayton came early to take Greg and I to BRIO for a mother's and father's day lunch. Chelsea and the Adamson's arrived Friday. We got to see Clayton's pictures from his recent trip to Sweden. Jordan got here Saturday morning just in time for Grandpa Greg's sourdough pancakes. The kids all helped get the new railing on the porch before the heat was unbearable and then we headed out for a yummy mexican lunch at Plaza Azteca. Of course we went grocery shopping and made a trip to Marshall's before the day was done. That night the kids all helped make grilled pizza on the deck. Denton made the homemade crust and fabulous . We had fun gourmet toppings and it was delicious. We had Ukrop's bakery desserts later in the evening and watched the basketball game the boys wanted to see. Sunday morning we had a fun Father's Day brunch from Chelsea and Lindsay.....and then all went to church (Clayton went back to his ward in DC) and baby Carter made his debut in the Gayton ward. Jennifer Kaufman got to finally hold her favorite baby. Everybody except Denton took off after sacrament meeting as he still had business in Richmond. It was a great weekend and it was so fun for Greg and I to have all 5 of our awesome kids home. They are great friends and have alot of fun together. We loved watching them make pizza's together. We are blessed to have wonderful children and grandchildren. Carter adds a light anywhere he goes. He is so happy and smiley....and so so cute...everyone wants to hold him. Thanks kids for all coming home. We miss you all the time.

Father's Day Crafts
I made both of these this year for Father's Day. I wrapped the presents with the POP stuff and ties. I made the banner by punching holes in the ties and running ribbon through them. I just ran card stock through my printer and cut them out. I tried hanging it last night and it will be a fun surprise when Greg gets up on Father's Day ( if he even notices). I never do anything to decorate for this holiday usually...so I decided it was time to get with the program. I will also be making Greg's favorite meatloaf and carrot cake for dessert that day. I am a good wife, huh?

Clayton Tyler: My World Traveler
Clayton will have traveled the world in a few more years. It seems like he has been everywhere already. I live vicariously through him. He sends me pictures of his travels... which I love. This is him in his recent visit to Sweden. That is my heritage on my dad's side and oh how I wish I had gone too. Maybe one of these years when my knee is working better. He is going to bring all his pictures home for a show when all my grown kids gather in Richmond in June. What a life he has :)
