Father's Day Crafts

I made both of these this year for Father's Day. I wrapped the presents with the POP stuff and ties. I made the banner by punching holes in the ties and running ribbon through them. I just ran card stock through my printer and cut them out. I tried hanging it last night and it will be a fun surprise when Greg gets up on Father's Day ( if he even notices). I never do anything to decorate for this holiday usually...so I decided it was time to get with the program. I will also be making Greg's favorite meatloaf and carrot cake for dessert that day. I am a good wife, huh?

Clayton Tyler: My World Traveler

Clayton will have traveled the world in a few more years. It seems like he has been everywhere already. I live vicariously through him. He sends me pictures of his travels... which I love. This is him in his recent visit to Sweden. That is my heritage on my dad's side and oh how I wish I had gone too. Maybe one of these years when my knee is working better. He is going to bring all his pictures home for a show when all my grown kids gather in Richmond in June. What a life he has :)

Another Father Son Campout

Here is Jordan and Maddox at their Campout in Arizona. They had fun while all the girls were home having a fun girl's weekend getting pedicures.

The Cute Wood Family

Here are some current pictures of the Dana Wood Family
( Chelsea's). Chelsea and Dana were taking the pictures so couldn't both be in them... but cute nonetheless.

Best Christmas Present Ever!

Everybody who knows Greg and I know what a great present giver he is...from the first present he gave me in college and for the last 39 years. I could write all kinds of stories. But this one has to be the best one yet.

For years I have commented on how I wish I had a dish pantry built in where my baker's rack was to house all my fun dishes ( since it is so hard to get them all down from the attic now). I didin't know if it would ever be a priority because it seemed really expensive and hard. But this past December while I was on a cruise with my girlfriends, Greg designed and built me a pantry with his own hands. He special ordered metal sheleves off the internet that hold 150 lbs each . And he ordered and put together ( took him all day) a rolling cart with lots of drawers for my placemats and so I could roll it to the dining room with the dishes on top if needed. He took off work and spent 4 days making it...and even stayed up all night to get it done before I got home.

I walked in and he was still working on it but it was enough done that I could tell what it was. He actually has one more coat of paint to put on someday when we have the time. It is so AWESOME. I love it. But even more than it, I love that he was so thoughtful to do it. He really doesn't even care about dishes, but he knows how much I love to set a new table every month. And he is'n't really carpenter, but he is smart and figured it out all on his own.

This post will be a reminder to my posterity what an awesome grandpa they had and how much he loved their grandma :)

Thanks Greg for all your hard wotk and thoughtfulness. I promise you your favorite meatloaf dinner in return :) xoxo
