First day of School

H0me Alone at Last!
The Kids started school today. After being in Alabama for 2 weeks the kids get to start a new school. I think most of them were excited to start and make some new friends. I can"t believe that I have 2 in high school, 2 at the middle school and 2 elementary. Although here in Birmingham they have an intremidiate school for 4th and 5th graders so Syd and JJ are at different schools. 6 kids 4 schools its been fun registering all the kids at the schools. Alabama has some strange micro managing ways of doing things.
I have lost my entertainment to the public school system. I was sad to send JJ off to Kindergarten today. He wouldn't even let me walk him to class he just looked at me and said I know where it is and turned and left. Not what I expected at all. Just Yesterday when we went to meet his teacher he was hiding behind me and told the teacher he thought school would be boring and he would rather stay at home. Thank goodness for small miracles. I just pray his teacher has a good sence of humor or its going to be a LONG year.

Random Memories

In Sunday school we were talking about Lot and the teacher was talking how when they were sent out and told not to look back. I turned to a friend and told her when we were living at the land we had a similar motto it was "don't look down". Of course this was in reference to the infamous Port-A-Potty. I will always remember the day the Port-A-Potty was delivered. Never have you seen a group of people more excited to have a port a potty. And for the next 6 months my new hero was the port a potty man. Every week he came and emptied that thing making it bearable for a day or two. Well there was the backsplash problem with the empty port a potty but I will take that over the smell. Ah the lovely memories!

Sydney Grayce is Eight!

I can't believe it but it's true. Saturday Sydney was Baptized. Unfortunately someone played with my camera and the pictures are not jpg but nef ( I don't even know what that is) so I can't get them to upload on to my blog. It was a great day. Most of the Howe family was there. Thanks for coming everyone. Sydney was very excited to be baptized.

For her Birthday she wanted to go to Build-a-Bear. We had fun time going to the mall and out to lunch with Dad. I told her we would eat where ever she wanted. She wanted to go some where with a play place. Fortunately I thought of Chick-Fil-A so we were able to go the instead of McDonalds. It's always fun when you can spend a little one on one time with the kids

A Little Late

I was going through my photos and I came across pictures from the Howe Family Christmas hoedown. I had intended to blog about it back then ,but life got a little crazy so I decided better late then never. We were originally going to have the hoedown at the land but we were rained out.(thankfully cold ,no electricity, and a port-a-potty aren't the best party conditions) We had the party at the East Stake Center. The highlights I would have to say were Melissa's face paintings, playing knock out, and Aaron and Jens Oreo cookie truffle things (those were a little piece of heaven).
Aaron wins best dressed!

.

Linda made these awesome tee shirts for the cousin gift exchange

Aaron and Jen made this awesome play table for Parkin it was way cool!

The Hoedown was fabulous and the only thing missing was Jeremy, Linda and kids.
